((Gosh, this is weird. Since Adrina's avatar is Rachel Bilson, who plays Seth's girlfriend in the OC, and whom I had always imagined to look a lot like his girlfriend, I feel really weird posting this! Haha.))
"Heya," Seth murmured with controlled enthusiasm as he kissed Willow on the cheek gently, intaking a breath of sweet perfume, before pulling away somewhat reluctantly. If he could pounce excitedly on his girlfriend in public, if he could hug her to him tightly to show he never wanted to let go, he would. But Willow was conscious of herself in the glare of strangers, and hated it when Seth was extremely possessive or intimate with her in public - well, mostly when it came to Seth being weird and nerdy and childish. It made Seth sad to think he embarrassed his girlfriend, but he could take it - because who else would take him? And this was the girl of his dreams; Seth would take anything for her. Even if she hit him - which she didn't. Some said Seth was a fool in love (and Willow was a fool for dating him), but he was a happy fool. Sending Willow his usual dorky grin, lopsided and filled with fondness, Seth took a seat opposite her in the corner of The Three Broomsticks, where a butterbeer was already sitting before him.
"I took the liberty of ordering one for you too," Willow explained as she sipped her own identical beverage, clutching the flowers Seth had bought on his way into Hogsmeade appreciatively. Her boyfriend was a weirdo, but he was her weirdo, and he always did tiny little romantic gestures that made Willow's heart stir with fondness. Every single date Seth bought flowers - he never ceased to do it, even though they'd been together for over a year and had been on a hundred dates. Then again, Seth didn't get to see Willow as often as she knew he wanted to. She was always busy with school work, and the summer was no different, only she had a part time job, which at least was rather enjoyable. As if on cue, Seth asked her about it, his brown eyes warm behind a new pair of spectacles. "It's good," Willow nodded. "There are some really boring girls I work with, but there's this pretty cool girl too. She's a couple years older than me, but she has experiences I wish I could've had. She's called Zoe, came from Beauxbatons actually. Speaks French. Very good looking, has guys drooling all over her." Willow spoke with unhidden envy, but she admired the girl too. "I've got to go shopping with the girls in an hour by the way, Seth," she quickly added before Seth could add a word in and go off on his usual rambling tangents. Ironically, despite Seth being the more talkative between them, it was Willow that did all the talking in the relationship.
Seth was all right with that too, as usual. However, his disappointment failed to hide away as it dulled his eyes. Willow was always with her 'girls'; sometimes it became irritating. But on the other hand, Seth was often with Chace, so he always convinced himself Willow had every right to abandon him for them. Girls needed other girls. Though sometimes, Seth wished Willow would just confide in him all the things she told her friends. "Will Lara be going too?" Seth asked, taking his glasses off and cleaning them on his shirt. Willow confirmed her best friend would be there. Fortunately for Chace, none of his dates were to be cut short - he was currently with at home, playing happy families most likely. Seth felt sorry for him, but he'd save his best friend from his family woes soon for he was visiting the day after; he looked forward to it. Before Seth could reposition his specs on his nose, Willow grabbed them nimbly, and thus ensued an amusing argument about glasses, with Seth waving his lanky arms in the air, trying to retrieve them from his giggling girlfriend. At first, when Seth had gotten them prescribed - for the optician had said he'd need them, but only for reading - Willow had hated them. She said they made him look even more dorky and nerdy, and that he should ask for contacts 'pronto'. However, over time, Willow had changed her mind, stating that Seth actually looked more intelligent now, rather than nerdy, seeing as glasses were fast becoming in fashion - well, the fashionable designer ones anyway. Seth knew he shouldn't be wearing his glasses everywhere, seeing as they only fulfilled the purpose of reading, but he kept forgetting, in his disorganisation, to take them off. Sometimes, he caught himself showering in them, sleeping in them (and not notice until he almost bends them against the pillow and his nose).
An hour passed as swiftly as Seth had expected it to. Time with Willow always seemed so short-lived. Kissing his girlfriend sadly on the cheek in goodbye this time, Seth watched her leave with his flowers with a waving hand in the air. He still had some butterbeer left in his glass, and so swigged it down with a gulp, enjoying the burning sensation along his throat. Smiling to cheer himself up, Seth inwardly convinced his feelings that he'd be seeing Willow in a few days, hearing from her even earlier, and going to Chace's tomorrow. Seth liked the summer - it meant no homework and no pressure. He didn't miss classes at all! And there was the art school thing coming up, which sounded like a lot of fun (and which Chace's mother had so very generously paid for). He'd be with Chace, Willow and Lara, and Seth was very much looking forward to it. Folding his cheek against his fist, Seth let his mind drift into daydreams involving Willow, until his concentration broke as water cascaded over his head. "What the--?!" he exclaimed loudly, jumping up in shock as the cold liquid seeped into his collar, droplets sliding down his tanned neck. Looking up, he saw a horrified looking brunette girl - familiar-looking, with disturbing similarities to Willow - with an empty glass, and a man staring at them from beside her. Blinking, Seth watched in confusion as the stranger - the male - sneered at them both, especially at Seth, and nudging the girl for what appeared to Seth to be the second time, wandered away. Glancing at the girl now, Seth looked for an explanation, then realised he was still soaking wet and reached for some tissues. As he quickly wiped himself up, muttering his lack of luck under his breath, Seth assembled that the girl before him had gotten knocked by the nasty-looking man before, and hence had drenched Seth. Seeing her apologetic look now, he smiled hastily, looking like a dead, floppy fish, with mahogany tendrils of curly hair dripping into his eyes. "Um, it's all right. No harm done," he smiled his usual carefree way.
