((This takes place in a rather fishy area since both Brianna and Josephine are staying at their current years, so I’m role playing this as if Josephine is a 4th year and not the 5th year that she actually is. Also the thread was for Weetzie, but I just noticed that she was dropped so it's either open to any of Dixie's characters that want to join or someone else...to which I will make a note of later if need be.))
Swish…flick…swish…flick…swish and flick… The movements of the wand were steady, but the spell was far out of the young 4th years capabilities. Josephine Bowman was attempting an advanced healing spell out of yet another book from the library. She’d become obsessed with attempting these sort of spells as if they’d really help her sister…as if she could really help her. Truth be told that Josephine had to work harder than a lot of other people to get spells down. She had the potential to be great, but wand working wasn’t her greatest skill. She preferred more hands on magic to wand, but does enjoy it at well at times, like when she’s in Transfiguration. Charms is another story, she is absolutely horrific at it, but that was no what she was doing right now, well sort of, but not. She was working on this new healing spell she found. It was supposed to be rather easy if you were a seventh year, but she wasn’t and it was impossible for her to get the spell right.
After the twentieth time, which was after having lost count twice, she finally gave up. Black hair was tossed behind her shoulder as small delicate hands pushed the book away from her; form slouching down in the chair. This was the last opportunity she had to try these spells before the year was over and who knew if her sister would even last that summer break before they both ended back up at Hogwarts. Josephine’s hands shook a little as she sat her wand down on the table and sighed. There was no point in continuing her research that day. She needed to take a break, to at least get herself out of the hot atmosphere of the Slytherin Common room. Digits ran through her hair quickly pulling long locks up off her neck briefly before stretching back in the chair. The sound of several popping noises met her ears and she grinned. Nothing felt better than the back popping to relieve the built up tension that was created there in her awkward position.
Athletic stature pulled up from the chair finally as digits returned to the leather bound book and flipped it close. Left hand pulled up her wand and slid it into the sheath at her waist. The fairly cool wood of the Bois d’Arc and Maple wand was nice. Hands ran down over the pureblood elitist outfit she had unknowingly picked up at the latest trend shop in Diagon Alley. The green pants billowed out as she moved, giving it the appearance of a skirt as opposed to pants and her white shirt was subtly tinted green, enough to make it appear to match the skirt. All in all it gave a very sensible casual look, but also a look that seemed to fit will for a robe. She certainly did enough it to say the least. Hands slid down over a wrinkle trying to straighten it before she pulled her back out and muttered a spell that straightened the wrinkle but causing enough static electricity to light an entire house on fire.
A grumble and a muttered spell fixed that problem before she headed out of the secret passageway that separated the dungeons and the Slytherin Common room. Feet carried her softly out of the dungeons and out into the over cat weather. The clouds covered the suns rays enough to keep it off of her and kept the temperature at a fairly low, but mild temperature. She loved it and didn’t mind having the hint of a smile on her face as she moved down the cobblestone, feet barely touching the stones as she made her way into Hogsmeade. She thought over several different places to go before finally settling on that of the Three Broomsticks. Inside is was crowded and loud. The last gathering place for students to hang out before the summer months came upon them and they were no longer together. Josephine merely ordered herself a cold butterbeer before settling in an empty table, quite unsure of what to do now, but enjoying herself nonetheless. That is until the figure decided to show up in her peripheral and take the open seat at her table. Head shot up and face-hardened. “Can I help you?”
