Out of the corner of her eye Delilah saw Serina reading. She thought about not disturbing her but her curiosity got the better of her. "If you don't mind me asking but what are you reading? I love to read and it doesn't look like a book I am familiar with. she asked her.

Payton blushed as this kiss, he wasn't used to that kind think and just smirked at her and said "I'm getting there" under his breath, he was finding it hard to hide his blush as he was now fully brick red and said "uhh....thanks..." He looked over at selena "You know you can talk, its not like we hate your guts, I was....." He choked on this last word but he needed another kiss "Kidding"

Delilah looked at her friend. "Aww...Payton your blushing. Did I embaress you?" she asked nudging her friend. "You know I think of you as a younger brother and that kiss didn't mean anything." she said smirking at him. She heard his remark and sighed. "See...it wasn't that difficult." she said hugging him again.

Delilah smiled as Payton patted her back. "I heard that." she said in his ear. She let go and rolled her eyes. "If you are going to talk under your breath Pay, I suggest you do it in your head. And I am not a softy." she said crossing her arms. "You are not even on the team yet. Just give it time."

Delilah was hurt his words. "That hurts Pay. That hurts bad. I am not a softy." she said stubbornly. "Me? A prefect? You have got to be kidding me Pay." She hated the thought of being a prefect. That would mean her days of sneaking out would be gone.

Payton is the hottest guy/Prefect at hogwarts

Delilah smiled as she remembered those days. "If I remember correctly I was always leading you would just follow along like my sidekick." she said smirking. She laughed at his next retort "You wish." she muttered. "You are never going to order me around." She read the words and fell over laughing. "In...your...dreams." she said laughing uncontrollable.

Serina was a little surprised that Payton admitted he was kidding. If that was even true at all. Serina, not being the type to judge, believed him. Serina didn't really have a reason not to believe him and she wanted to be friends with them as long as they weren't so stuck-up like her father would tell her. Serina was reading still whiile listening to what they were saying. Serina was also trying to decide what she should say back to them since they asked her a question. Serina was reading her favorite book, that her father had gave her. It was Dueling and Winning. Serina had read this book many times before and it has helped her dueling but she can't get enough of it. She was facinated with it.
"Well, it's a book my father had when he attened here. He was told to read it his first year in Slytherin..." Serina didn't mean to admitt her father was a past Slytherin. She paused hoping they wouldn't critisize her for not being in Slytherin like her father." anyways, he gave it to me before i left and it's called Dueling and Winning. It's a very good book. I've read it many many times before and it's old so i like to learn what the past students of Hogwarts learned compared to us now." Serina was almost about to ramble on and she almost showed her fathers' side of her and she was affraid thta if she ended up showing that side of her that she might come of more as a Syltherin, which wasn't bad except for she was a Gryffindor. Serina didn't look up from her book as she said all that.

Serina instanly looked up as Payton asked Delilah out. She was shocked. Serina didn't think Payton was that kind of guy, to be pressure and affraid he didn't have time to ask her out. Then again she thought it was nice and almost sweet that he wanted to date her, because by the sound of it Serina could have swore that he wanted to date her really bad. Serina then looked at Delilah and even though she didn't know her she was hoping she would say yes to him. Mainly because Serina thought that Delilah liked him and he obvisouly liked her so what a perfect match. Serina book-marked her page with out looking and waited for the answer without looking like a stalker.

Delilah looked toward Serina as she began to speak. "I knew you were part Slyhterin from the way you spoke to Payton." she said at the mention of her father being a Slytherin. She listened to Serina talk about the book. "That is cool. I love reading about what the older students were taugh..." She stoped speaking when Payton asked her out. She slowly turned toward him. "Oh Payton...that is sweet and all but you know how I feel about you. Your my best freind and I think we should remain friends. I'm sorry but I can't go out with you." she said quietly.

Serina was a little shocked and then again she wasn't when she heard Delilah turn Payton down. She figure she would say something like that. Serina didn't know everything about these two people so she couldn't make any judgments, which she didn't like to do anyways. Serina was a little understanding though becuase if Delilah didn't like Payton anymore then a brother like friend then why should she say yes??? Serina was a tiny bit glad she said no now. Mainly because she now knew the truth about how Delilah felt about Payton, or was Delilah playing hard to get.
Serina wanted to ask Delilah about her own boy problems but decided not to. Mainly because she didn't think this was such a great time to ask and that she didn't know Delilah so much and she propably wouldn't give her any advice. Serina went back to reading, and still half listenign to their conversation, just waiting for Payton to explode.
