Taryn glanced around her small draped room at Hogwarts, a single tear sliding down her cheek. She did not want to go home. She knew she would greatly miss her friends, teachers, and most definitely not having to be shipped around everywhere like she was over the summer. Lucky for her though she had began to put her foot down. She had told her parents at Christmas that she was not going to go from place to place. She would spend the first half with her mother, and the second half with her dad. Glancing around the room and making sure she had everything Taryn felt her wave of sadness life slightly. She was slightly excited to be going home. Her best and only completely true friend was waiting for her. He knew the truth about her as well. He was a muggle yes, but an amazing and understanding one that Taryn had been in love with since they met at the age of ten. Now though, at the age of thirteen they were a bit more serious than just friends and actually dating. Although at times it was really hard they agreed to see other people for dates and dances during the school year, but over the summer they were eachothers.
That was really the only thing that Taryn was slightly looking forward to, but then again is that so shocking. She didn't know many people who truly enjoyed their own parents divorce. Shaking her head slightly Taryn stood up and then grabbed her suitcases from the floor. Glancing in the mirror at herself, just to make sure she hadn't messed up her makeup from the crying she wiped off the small bits of mascara and then smiled at herself in the mirror. Except for the slight redness in her eyes she looked completely normal, well that and the fact that since they were going home she had on normal clothes, or in other words ripped in the knee blue jeans and a plain white T-shirt. Her long blonde hair though looked normal and was in messy curls down her back, though it still looked perfectly fine. Her shoes instead of black leather dress shoes were now small white tennis shoes and she looked like any normal human being. She was glad though, to finally be out of those stupid robes and looking like a robot.
Grabbing her suitcases for the second time she headed down from her dorm room and through the common room, smiling at all the people she saw running from person to person saying good bye and promising to write over the summer, and maybe even try and visit, but this wasn't so surprising seeing as she did happen to see it done every single year around this time. She almost jumped for joy when she saw a couple kiss goodbye and say the normal I love you's. She couldn't wait until she got to her moms so that she could see her own love. The excitement of it all sent goosebumps down her skin that seemed to make her pick up her pace as she headed toward the train, and because of this small factor she was glad to see she got her own small compartment and wouldn't have to uncomfortably join someone elses. Grinning, practically from ear to ear she stored her luggage in the luggage racks and then sat down with her sketch pad and began drawing randomly just to buy herself some times.
