The sun hung lazily in the sky, mechanically playing peek-a-boo with the clouds. It was a nice seventy-three degrees, and Julius Lionheart was taking full advantage of it. Classes were over, for now, because it was the weekend. This was Julius' favorite time of the week and with good reason. No stuffy classrooms, no essays, and best of all no Snape. Of ourse, he still had to actually go outside to be taking full advantage of this spry day. He was still in the Great Hall, having just finished some lunch, which comprised of a chicken sandwich, pumpkin juice, and some pudding. With his belly full, he was ready to head outside. Standing up, he scanned the Hall for some familiar faces, but most were still eating. He had hoped that some of his friends would want to go outside as well, but he didn't want to interrupt anyone. With a sigh, he headed out the doors, through the Entrance Hall, and out onto the grounds.
Once outside, he saw that he wasn't the only one enjoying the weather. There were quite a few other people out there, but after scanning the area, he saw that he only knew most of them by sight. This didn't bother him however, but it did remind him that Jaquin and Perseus had graduated already, leaving him as the last of the trio in school. A lot of his old friends, and enemies had graduated before he had. He triedto remember them all as he made his way to his favorite shade tree to lay beneath. There was Dawn McGrogan, probably his most bitter of rivals, Nasser Sallah, a fellow Gryffindor and good friend. Losing his train of thought, he realised he had reached his destination.
Sitting down, his back against the trunk of the tree, he felt a sudden sadness that his friends weren't here. He even missed Dawn, just because their little spats had always been something to do. As he reminisced about the old days, a small grin appeared on his face. Those had been fun times, but he knew that he had to make new friends now. He hadn't really gotten to know anyone in his own year, unless you counted Mary Evans, but it had been awhile since he had even spoken with her. Lost in his thoughts, he became oblivious to the world around him.

Danelle loved when it was warm outside. It meant Wizarding Frisbee. Of course, the hardest part was finding someone to play Wizarding Frisbee with her. Not many people knew of the game, considering it wasn't really invented in the wizarding world. Danelle actually thought it up one summer day when she was bored, and she put it to the test when she returned to Hogwarts that following September. It consisted of one very enchanted Frisbee and at least two people. The rules were pretty simple. Each different way you flicked the Frisbee, different things happened. For instance, if you flicked it back handed – three things could happen depending on how good the toss was: if it was a really crummy toss, sparks emitted from it; if it was a decent toss, it whistled; and if it was a fantastic toss, it exploded into two Frisbees that came back together when they closed in on the other player's hand. The variation of these effects gave a different amount of points. The player with the most points at the end of the game was the winner.
It was a fun game, one that she loved to play but couldn't ever find anyone to play with. Because Danelle wasn't a huge Quidditch fan, she found a sport that she figured would be at least some decent fun to others who were like her and couldn't even think about getting two feet off the ground, let alone about 100. She had loathed flying first year, simply because of the fact that she had to hover – her feet barely touching the ground. She wasn't high enough to die, but she was high enough to sprain a wrist, and ever since then; Danelle hadn't been able to touch a broomstick. Perhaps someone could help her overcome that fear, but for now she would stick with Wizarding Frisbee. Danelle tucked her pink Frisbee underneath her arm, as she pulled her long brown hair into a pony tail, the white in her bangs showing blatantly. It was something she loved about her hair; it definitely marked her personality.
She pulled a hoodie on over her head and grasped the Frisbee as she left her dormitory and the common room, heading up the stairs and out toward the Grounds. The sun was shining over head, and as a result – there were lots of people out on the grounds. However, they were all partaking in something else already and Danelle didn't want to seem rude or like a freak by interrupting them to play this game they probably hadn't ever heard of before. After all, it was based on a muggle game and if they didn't have any knowledge of muggles or muggle like things…they wouldn't really get the point of throwing a disc around, even if it did emit pretty sparks and such. Shielding her eyes from the sun, Danelle looked around for someone who wasn't in a large group already. It took a moment, but she spotted someone sitting against the trunk of a tree and with a smile, she sprinted toward him.
When she reached him, she breathed in deeply and smiled at him brightly; "Hey there, I…couldn't help but notice you're sitting here all alone with...seemingly nothing to do, but if you are doing something then forget I am here…but if you aren't, want to play a game?"

He felt a breeze pass over the grounds, which added to the pure bliss relaxation brought with it. His thoughts began to become clearer, and he could remember quite a few other of his old friends. Soon enough, though, this thought process was disturbed. Julius' hand plunged into his pocket as he was shaken out of his reverie. However, noticing that it was a pretty girl, he smiled, and released his wand, which was what he had reached for. He heard her request, and didn't think about the answer, simply saying " Sure, sounds fun." It was in fact what he had actually come outside for, to interact with his fellow students. He stood up, brushing himself off when he stood at his full spectrum
The smile still on his face, he surveyed the girl, looking her over. He figured he might as well have fun with it, an proceeded to walk around her, surveying her as though he was an model talenting agent. At each of her sides, he would do the stop, tilt slightly, face on left hand, with his right hand holding up his left elbow move. Coming to the front of her once again, he smiled and said, " Well, I don't know what kind of game it is, but if it involves you, it must be good, on those terms alone." From his inspection, he had noted that she was a year or two younger than him, and perhaps a Hufflepuff, for a Slytherin surely would not have approached him as she had, while a Ravenclaw wouldn't appear as bright in personality as her. The thing that most intrigued him was the streak of white in her hair, it was enigmatic, giving her an air of mystique. Her eyes had held him form the moment he had looked into them, for it was the eyes that he truly valued in the opposite sex.He had also noticed the frisbee in her hand, and wondered at it, but knew the girl would soon tell him the idea behind the game.

Okay, so the circling her and looking at her thing was slightly making Danelle feel uncomfortable, but Danelle was good at handling uncomfortable situations. She smiled brightly and followed him with her eyes as best as she could when he walked around her, surveying her, as if he were examining her for some fashion show or something. That would be hilarious. Danelle in a fashion show. Perhaps for worst dressed. Well, he might be mildly creepy, but he had agreed to play a game with her; and so he couldn't be completely terrible. She raised her brow when he made a remark about the game being good because she was a part of it. After looking at him a moment, Danelle smirked and reached out to keep him in one place; "My turn," she said as she shoved the Frisbee at him and then began to circle him.
Her hand was on her hip, her other dangling on her side, her hip was cocked, and her left leg popped as she stood poised. Her eyes travelled down him and then up him slowly, and she bit her lip in concentration, "Hmmm…" she murmured as she traveled in an ellipse form around him, returning to her original spot; "Hmm…hmmm…" Her eyes traveled up him again and stopped on his face, staring at him seriously for a moment and then allowing a wide grin to spread over her own face; "You'll do." She then snatched the Frisbee from him and took off at a jog toward a clearing away from the tree.
"The game is Wizarding Frisbee. The more points you score, the closer you are to winning. The one with the most points at the end wins," Danelle spun the Frisbee on the top of her finger, a trick she had learned when she was bored one day over the summer. Her eyes remained on the guy and she continued to explain, "When you toss it, you can get up to 4 points. If the toss is terrible, you get 1 point. If it's decent, you get 2 points. If it's good, you get 3 points. If it's fantastic, you get 4 points. Each different evaluation has a different effect. Poorly – it sparks; Decently – it whistles; Well – it lights up; and Great – it splits it into two Frisbees while in the air and then becomes one again. Following?
"There are four rounds and each person gets ten tosses in each round, that's forty tosses each – so eighty tosses total," Danelle grinned and stopped spinning the Frisbee on her fingertip, holding it in her hand; "Are you ready? And if you are, are you willing to make things interesting?"

He had barely finished his 'evaluation', when she said it was her turn, thrusting the frisbee into his hands. He became rather amused as she walked around him, his own little trick being used against him. When she finished he laughed outloud at her remark, a small bit of merriment welling up in his springs of inner happiness. Perhaps he had just made a new friend, although they had not even introduced themselves yet. That could be done later though, no rush, where lse would he go? Still standing with an amused expression lingering on his face, he listened to her explanation of the game.
While she was talking, she spun the frisbee on one of her fingers, a trick that deserved merit, for he certainly had never done that. Silently he memorized the rules: four rounds, ten tosses each round, eighty total tosses, four different scoring methods, and one winner. He was about to ask how far apart they need be, when she stopped spinning the frisbee, asking if he was ready, and if he were willing to make things interesting. Wel now, who was he to deny her an interesting......well an interesting whatever it was. With a wide grin, he replied " Okay, I'm ready, and indeed I am willing to make it interesting, what did you have in mind?" He hoped it would be something involving fun, but more often-than-not, when people said 'make things interesting', they meant money.

Danelle tossed the frisbee up into the air and caught with a bright smile in his direction, "Good. Now, because I'm broke and I think money is overrated, let's do it this way. Whichever you score with your toss, you say that number of things about yourself. For example," Danelle motioned for him to stay where he was standing and then ran out a bit of ways so she was a couple of metres away from him, then she tossed the frisbee toward him. Because she hadn't tossed a frisbee in awhile, it wobbled and whistled only.
She received two points, if this was an actual game; "Alright, two points, so two things. I'm Danelle Gregory, and I'm a Huff sixth year." She bowed slightly, in a goofy sort of way, and then grinned at him, "So on and so forth. This way we get to know each other as we play." Danelle enjoyed getting to know people, especially new people. It made her feel popular and well liked, unless that person ended up being psycho and was just an over all...jerk. In that case, Danelle liked to run in the opposite direction as quickly as possible.
"Seeing as you have the frisbee now, you can go first. We're starting over, so my two points don't count and neither does that toss," she wiped her hands on her jeans and then fixed her pony tail so it was tighter and not falling out. A breeze blew around her, reminding her why she had pulled a sweatshirt on at the last minute. Then, she watched and waited for him to toss the frisbee in her direction, her brown eyes set intensely on the pink frisbee - not wanting to look like a complete fool if she missed it when it flew in her direction.

Julius smiled in reaction to Danelle's form of making it interesting. It would truly make things interesting for her, because he always had something to tell someone. As she walked away from him, he couldn't help but notice a certain....aspect of her. It cause him to grin; she faced him, now a few meters away. She tossed the frisbee to him, and it emitted a shrill whistle. He caught it deftly, his chaser skills allowing for an easy catch. By his memory, the whistle had meant one, no two points. What hostage fact about her would she release he wondered.
So, her name was Danelle Gregory, an elegant name. Ah, she was an Hufflepuff sixth year, as he had assessed earlier. His grin was still etched on his face from his admiring stare from before, and wondered now what he would divulge in his stead. He had thrown a fanged frisbee before, with quite some accuracy, so he was not at an total disadvantage against her, even though it appeared to be her own game. The frisbee in his left hand, he curled it inwards, cocked his arm, and flung it torwards her. Much to his delight, it had lit up.
Hoping to see just how well she played the game, he decided to divulge his information in mid-flight. " My name is Julius Lionheart, Gryffindor seventh year." he said, loud enough for her to hear, " I'm also devilishly handsome." He put on a roguish grin, displaying much of his royal jester charm. He hoped she would catch it, watching as the disc reached her.

Danelle, not being a very social person, didn't really know anyone outside of her house. So, it was nice to put a name to a face. Julius was someone she had seen while watching Quidditch (something she really hadn't been into much before she found out E was in it…that sounded slightly stalkerish, didn't it?) and while he was a decent player, Danelle hadn't ever felt the urge to talk to him. Nah.
Danelle's mind was wrapped around too many other things at the moment. School, friends, etc. Boys weren't on her agenda right now. Or at least, that's what she kept telling herself whenever a certain someone popped into her mind. She was in her 6th year, it was time to buckle down and really start to get to work on her future. She had blown it off enough as it was.
She had followed the Frisbee with her eyes, and then when it had come nearest her she had jumped up and caught it, not exactly feeling like running back a few yards. With the Frisbee safely in her hand, she smirked at Julius and shook her head; "I'd say that's debatable," she replied in a clear voice. "Devilishly handsome is subjective." Laughing, she tucked the Frisbee in toward her, spun twice (for drama and just downright foolishness and fun), and then let it free.
It soared through the sky easily, much better than her previous toss, and lit up as it arched toward him. Danelle grinned, "Lights – that's three," she paced a moment and then grinned, before telling him the next three things about her: "I've bleached these strands of my hair so I can change their colour regularly, I'm a huge procrastinator, and…" This was getting difficult, "And…uhm…hmm…I love Disney movies, you know…the muggle ones?"

It was a good catch, a very good catch, thought Julius when Danelle had jumped up and made the grab. He couldn't help it, but his Quidditch interests flew to become the foremost thoughts, and they believed that Danelle could have become a great Keeper, still could. Shaking his head to clear out thoughts of quaffles, snitches and bludgers(oh my!), he thought of a different point of view. How could he had never noticed her before, as pretty as she was. He was a known flirt, and always took the time to get to know a pretty girl, she had surely been an undiscovered diamond til now.
He laughed aloud at her crack about his own comment on his looks. His laugh was good, always pure and devoid of the falseness that some people's laughs held. She could joke, that was attractive in a woman, it added so much to their soulfulness when a woman could joke without any inhibitions.
His eyes followed her as she decided to show off, she spun around twice, and let loose the frisbee with an awesome throw. It resulted in the same effect as his, lighting up. That meant she had to share another three things about herself, he hoped she would throw so well quite often.
He heard her say that she had three things to tell him, and she paused. This gave him enough time to try something. Smiling, he decided that he too could show off. As the frisbee reached him, he decided to catch it between his legs, in mid-air. Jumping up, he did manage to catch it, however, he didn't land quite as beautifully as he had hoped. Landing on the ground, he felt his balance leave him, and he began to fall backwards. It was hopeless to stop it, and he went with it, falling with a thwump onto his back.
His laughter at himself rang clear across the grounds, but it didn't hamper his hearing of what Danelle had to say. His laughter subsiding, he sat up, saying " I must confess, your hair is very enticing, I think it makes you rather unique." a smile still on his face due to his mirth just moments before. He stood up, brushed himself off, and continued his reply, " I have seen one of those Disney movies, I believe it was the Lion King, rather good movie, lions being the main characters and what not. Ah, you're a fellow procrastinator? Good to know, perhaps we could both show up late to a date one day." Still smiling, he bent over, reached down, and retrieved the fallen frisbee. He did the same launch as before, but it had a different results. As it flew through the air, a whistle was emitted for everyone to hear.
" Two, so you will get to know me better still." he said happily. He rather liked her way of getting to know someone. He watched as the frisbee drew nearer to her, slightly going to her left. Suddenly grinning widely, he said, " Oh I know, I play the guitar, and I'm one of the more talented mischief makers around." It was a well known fact that he was a prankster, but only a few people had seen him play guitar before.

Danelle watched him jump up and catch the Frisbee between his legs, and then she watched him fall and land not so gracefully. She took a step forward, about to go to him if he was hurt, but when she heard him laughing, she shook her head and rolled her eyes, a smile toying at her lips. Boys were always trying to show off. Sure, she was decent with showing off when she knew she was really good at something, but boys tended to go over board and show off too much to the point where they might actually get hurt. It was silly, really, to put yourself near pain over impressing someone. Danelle wouldn't ever do that. But if a guy did it to impress her, well, that was his decision, now wasn't it? She grinned and twirled her hair around her fingertip as she watched him sit up, control his laughing, and comment on her hair. She dipped into a quick curtsy, "Why thank you, kind sir."
The Lion King. That one hadn't been one of Danelle's favourites. For the reason that it was just too sad when Mufasa died and her little child heart couldn't take that kind of pain. Although, it ended happily, Danelle was of the firm belief that if the parents died in the beginning – the movie sucked. Period. She didn't say anything, though, because it was at least a good thing that he knew what the Disney movies were. Not many people from wizarding families did. Danelle had grown up with a primarily muggle lifestyle until she was about 11, so Disney movies were an essential part of her growing up. "Oh, gee," Danelle stated with her hands clasped behind her back, swaying on the balls of her feet for a moment, "That would be ideal, wouldn't it? If only I went on dates."
Danelle really didn't do dates. It wasn't that she hadn't ever. On the contrary, it was that she had and the guy had been a complete jerk. She hadn't gone on a date since. She imagined if the right person were to ask, it might work out, but other than that…she really couldn't see why she would want to put herself through that torture and humiliation again. It was too much hardwork that she just wasn't interested in doing. She pulled herself from her thoughts when he flung the Frisbee back at her, sending it whistling (quite literally) a bit toward her left. With concentration and determination in her eyes, she slid to the left and snatched the Frisbee just before it the ground. Taking several deep breaths, Danelle stood and brushed the loose grass off her sweatshirt as she listened to Julius' two facts.
"Interesting. I can't play the guitar, I've got too small of hands; and pranks aren't my thing," she shrugged with a smile, "I tend to enjoy astounding people with my intelligence instead of with my pranks. Alright, my turn…" With that, she tucked the Frisbee in, and then let it loose with such force that she spun around and stumbled backward a bit. The Frisbee wobbled in the air with intermittent sparks flying from it rather irregularly and then fell flat about two feet away from Julius, "Well then… just one for me this time, I guess." Danelle looked up at the sky in thought and then after a moment, she said: "I enjoy eating snagberries; they're quite delicious." And they reminded her of E.

Julius heard her eply to his question much to his chagrin. She didn't go on dates, what was the world coming to? A pretty girl not dating, it was travisty, a conspiracy even. The thought didn't seem to mesh with the other gears in his head, until he realized that he too hadn't dated in a while. His confident demeanor once more displayed throughout his stature once more, he replied, " How about showing up late to a meeting as friends, that sound better?" just as she caught the frisbee.
He smiled as she replied to his own facts about himself, and couldn't supress a small laugh. " That's the beauty of it, sometimes pranks are actually a display of ones intelligence. It takes careful planning for the perfect prank, which I tend to with care." he replied jovially. He watched as she began her throw of the frisbee, and saw her stumble back a bit. She had however still released the discus shaped object, but very poorly it seemed, sparking before landing two feet in front of him.
Walking to the frisbee, he reached down and picked it up gently, in case the sparks had left a residual shock. Not feeling anything, he listened as Danelle said she like snagberries, but what were they. His mouth seemed to have a mind of it's own, not caring if he semed to be ignorant of something that was common knowledge. " What are snagberries?" he heard himself say. Awaiting an answer, he threw the frisbee back, but with as bad a throw as Danelle had done. He saw it land a few feet to her right, and stuck his tongue out at it as though it were it's fault. " One thing this time milady," he said airily, " my favorite snack is Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Jelly Beans, or wait maybe chocolate frogs, one of the two."
