In the Beginning ((Simone, Yi Sing))

The weather compared 3 months ago was getting cold as Ayumi stood curled up in her Ravenclaw robes outside the chilly atmosphere of the Hogwarts Grounds. But that didn't stop her from coming there. She'd always admired the beautiful scenery of England. In a way, it almost reminded her of rural Aizumi, Japan. She'd missed home since she was sent away to be with her paternal grandfather in Ireland, and now here at England attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Since she was given an invitation to attend the school, she was surprised beyond belief to the point it must've been a joke.

But it wasn't. She'd been given precise orders to go to England and prepare for her 1st year. From venturing to Hogsmead for supplies, to riding the Hogwarts Express, to attending the Great Hall and being sorted by the Sorting Hat that almost scared her half to death when it spoke. Everything was new to her and never thought that such a magic-related of a place like this was only in fairy tales. But on the bright side, Ayumi was amused and willing to discover what is unknown to her.

She gazed at the falling leaves in deep wonder as it dances across and down to the earth. With each passing leaf she began to randomly speak to herself.

"I was born what these people call a muggle" She says with her heavy Japanese-Irish accent. "And muggles don't have powers."

Then a couple more leaves gently passed from behind her as she felt it's dry-velvety feel across her cheeks.

"I am a Genin (Apprentice ninja), ninjutsu (ninja arts) is rumored to have mystical powers...but powers such as magic? I've never heard of it."

For 15 chilling minutes she had stood in a large boulder, pondering about her capabilities and waiting for somebody at the same time.

"I wonder what's taking them so long." She says as she took off her cumbersome Ravenclaw robes and sweater. "I guess I'll do something while I wait."

In an instant she jumped 8 feet off the large boulder to the ground. The second Ayumi crouched on the ground to absorb the heavy gravitational pull, the auburn-emerald leaves moved and swayed away and around her as she slowly stood up.

With her lightning fast reflexes, she began to do a series of multiple kicks and punches. Her moves where harmonic as they are fluid and quick. She then runs into a crowded set of trees nearby and quickly picks up a couple of thick pieces twigs and arrow-head shaped pieces of bark. She began to charge toward her first tree and places her feet on it and catapults herself to the branches of another tree.

Since the trees around her were too close and crowded, it was a breeze for her to jump tree-to-tree. She then began to hawk her eyes toward random objects ahead of her and began throwing the pieces of thick twigs and arrow-shaped barks at them with good aim while moving from tree-to-tree.

4 minutes came by and Ayumi passed her limit of her strenuous activity of jumping, throwing, and running about. Using what's left of her dexterous ninja feats, she ran away from the crowded trees, jumped a couple of flights of rocks to the large boulder. At the top she crashes on her arms and knees, sweating and breathing heavily next to her robes and school bag. Ayumi then decided she'll rest until her appointment arrives at the scene.

Walking along the stoned path, Simone thought that she saw someone nearby the thick group of trees, but it disappeared before her eyes. "Nay, I must've seen me self a squirrel." she thought to herself in her gruff Scottish accent. Simone continues to walk on the stoned path, clutching her fingers on her robes from from the gentle yet chilling breeze. When the large boulder was in view she lifted her hooded head looking around the area as if she was expecting someone. "Where she be off to? She said to meet her here..." She proceeded to the large boulder until she saw a quick blue-like blur that was also on it's way to where Simone was headed. The blur was so fast for her to clearly look at it's face, but for sure the figure was human.

As the figure took a rather brief stop to jump the smaller rocks that almost snaked around the large boulder, Simone was given the opportunity for a quick look-see that the blue the figure was wearing were indeed the clothes of a Ravenclaw student! "That's her! By dinny, she's a swift one!" The Ravenclaw student long already reached to the top of the boulder before Simone ran to the base of it. She was amused on how fast and how easy that Ravenclaw student made it look. "Oy, nae way I'd break me bones doing that!" She took a couple of long strides away from the large boulder. When facing the top of the boulder she drew her wand and points it to her neck as she cleared her throat and took in a couple of deep breaths.

"OY!! YOU'VE GOT'A BE KIDDIN' ME, LASSIE! AREN'T YE HUMAN?!" She says in a greatly amplified voice that quaked around the area.

((To Staff Members; I am sorry if it seems what I've typed down for Simone's sayings are misspelled correctly. I just want to make sure my character is "In character", since I know how to imitate a Scottish accent, I believe this is how they would be said and spelled. But if you still want me to edit it to be 100% English, then I'll do that.))

Lying peacefully on the large boulder, she felt the cold stone through her uniform and cooled her heated body. She closed her eyes and relaxed her head as she felt the faint warm rays of sunlight that kissed her cheeks. She enjoyed quiet moments where she just kicked back and released tension by basking in Mother Nature's pure creation.

Just when she was about to doze away in such sweet serenity, she was not only awoken, but terrified by a very loud voiced that exploded from what seemed to be below her. Next thing she knew, everything was a blank, a very uncomfortable feeling of blankness that is. She then felt a heavy blunt pain against her whole front side of her body, and then felt a strong gritty feeling against her face hands and legs.

"Whoa, what happened? It hurts, everything hurts...And why is there dirt in my mouth!?" She says in her thoughts as she tasted the dirt particles.

She tried to command her body to move, but she was as immobile as a post sign. For a moment she thought that she had died, but later realized that she wasn't because she felt a couple of leaves and branches fall on her back.

"Ohh my goodness, you've got to be kidding me!" She thought to herself. When she finally had the strength to form a slight grip, she felt the moistened dirt through her fingertips. "Yep, it happend..." She again, thought to herself.

She realized that after she was started from the loud voice, she had fallen about 8 feet off the large boulder, hit a couple of branches along the way and smashed onto the moist yet "hardened-upon-impact" ground face first.

She didn't know how to further react or think of her situation, but she knew for sure that the feeling of pain grew even stronger the more she gained feeling and control of her body.

[Yi Sing Han H1]

It didn't take long for Yi Sing to reach the huge stone boulder from the school campus, but before she can say a word of her arrival, she was startled by the swift appearance of Ayumi jumping off 8 feet atop the massive boulder to the ground. She then watched the leaves move and swished around and about Ayumi's dance of strikes and blows. This was her first time seeing her do such a display of speed and strength. Yi Sing continued watch her in astonishment as Ayumi jumped from tree to tree and then running back atop the boulder once more.
She quickly walked to get closer to the stone boulder, but was stoped on her tracks by a loud and scary voice that was opposite from her! She then heard another series of ouches and grunts coming down the huge boulder, as she looked up she saw Ayumi's body falling and hitting the tree's branches that was next to the boulder.
She watched Ayumi's fall in horror as her body finally landed with a great THUMP! Frantically, Yi Sing ran to Ayumi's seemingly lifeless body and began to observe for any signs of life. Before she can even touch her a couple of tree branches and leaves fell and Yi Sing quickly moves away from being hit. To her surprise she watched Ayumi's fingers curl against the the ground, picking up little chunks of dirt.

"Ayumi! Ayumi! Oh my God, say something!"

She says as she presses her fingers against the pulse points of Ayumi's neck, finding out that it's still beating.

"My word! She's still alive!"

Yi Sing looks up to see if there are any by standers and to her surprise there was Simone opposite of her whom was pointing her wand on her neck. She knew Simone's wand position very well, for it was a spell to amplify one's voice for a massive crowd to hear. With a calm yet stern tone she yells at Simone.

"What on earth did you do that for?! Don't you know how dangerous that spell can be?"

Simone never knew that Ayumi would fall off the large boulder after she'd used the voice amplifier spell. She too, watched in horror of Ayumi's body falling and hitting the tree branches. Each hit and turn of Ayumi's body was like taking in a heart pumping, quick flash of a camera, a fast taken yet clear picture that will forever stay in her mind. When Ayumi finally hit rock bottom, Simone froze in sheer silence. She can hear Yi Sing yelling at Ayumi's side, but Simone couldn't make out what she's saying. Then the ice of silence broke and freed her whole body once she heard Yi Sing yelling at her.

She didn't know what to say, this was the first prank she'd done that might've taken someone's life. "I...I didnae reckn' tis was to happ'n." She said with a slight shake to her voice. "Am not sure thit she'd haer me whid me normal voice from thit high rock." Then she started to scratch the back of her head and made a few startled chuckles. "Thought to me self thit Ay'd best be haerd whid the amplifier spell....But, emm...Ay guess'it did..." She says as she ended with a few more startled chuckles. "Am goin' to be dead." She thought as well as she reminded herself that she almost killed an actual ninja. A ninja that would easily blend in the shadows during the twilight night, quickly end a sleeping Simone's life and make it seem that no murder was taken place.

She watched Ayumi slightly gripped the piece of dirt. It made Simone feel that Ayumi was gripping her neck instead...A feat she imagined that would be later used on her.

[Yi Sing Han H1]

She shook her head in disbelief from Simone's reply. Of course anyone on top of an 8 foot rock can hear a voice at average volume. She doesn't know whether Simone's intentions were accidental or if she just wanted to be funny, but as far as Yi Sing was concerned, Ayumi needed help. She slowly creeps beside Ayumi and gently rubs her right shoulder blade.

"Ayumi? Can you move at all?" She said, waiting for a reply.

"I'm going to have to turn your head around slowly from the ground so you'll be able to breath better."

Yi Sing, being a daughter of a Healer, slowly turned only Ayumi's head to her right side. She helped clear her mouth from the dirt and examined her body to see if there are any obvious deformities (bones sticking out), swelling, bleeding, or unusual position of her limbs. Everything looked fine, but in order to be sure, she needed more information.

"Is there anything that hurts? Like if you move or breath?"

She then looks at Simone, who is scratching her head and had a nervous smile on her face. Yi Sing signed in place of rolling her eyes at her.

"Please, instead of standing there, run to Madam Pomfrey's and tell her to bring a stretcher and a couple of aides. We need to get her in the Hospital Wing as soon as possible! I'll stay here and make sure she's alright."

She watched Yi Sing carefully how she observed Ayumi, and was glad when her facial expression showed that Ayumi isn't in critical danger. Just before she was going to be relieved, she was trembled back to her panicked state when Yi Sing spoke in her loud, yet clear and authoritative like voice. She immediately took in her request. "Aye, of course! I'll try ter git there as fast as me legs'll take me!" Simone said ending with a quick salute with her wand and ran like mad back to Hogwarts.

The way back to Hogwarts seemed longer than she'd expected. When she'd walked from the school to the large boulder, it seemed not too far away, but as she worried about the possible internal injuries she inflicted on her friend, the way back to the school seemed longer than expected. "Aye, if I're only good at runnin', this wuldn't be hard at all!" She said to herself as she wildly gasped for air to help her run even faster. "Ay need ter find a way ter get me message delivered now and fast!" Simone thought hard and fast on how to solve the situation. She has a friend waiting to get medical aid while the another one is carefully watching her vital signs. "Should I send an owl? Nay, it'll take longer fer me ter find an owl, plus gather me parchment n' quill ter write somethin'...especially since me writtin' grammar isn't all too swell!"

The view of Hogwarts castle was clear in her sight. There she saw her fellow students around the court-yards socializing with one another and to the right a group of quidditch athletes practicing their skills. Simone still had many, many, MANY yards, plus hundreds of flights of stairs to accomplish before she can reach the Hospital Wing. She quickly estimated that it would take her approximately 15-17 minutes to get to the Hospital Wing, and that didn't include her running back with reinforcements. She looked at the castle in view and scanned her eyes to find the familiar rows of windows that belonged to the Hospital Wing. It didn't took long for her to spot it. "A'm really sairy ter do this," She said as she drew the wand she held and placed the tip of it on her neck once again. "But desperate times calls fer desperate measures! Me friend needs help!" The moment Simone was about a thousand feet away from the opened windows of the Hospital Wing, she took in a good, heavy, deep breath...

"MAD'AM POMFREY!! PLEASE, BRING YER CREW TER THE HOGWARTS GROUNDS AT THE LARGE BAULDER!! ME MATE TIS N'JURD!" She says in an even more greatly amplified voice, praying that the 6-7ish story high Hospital Wing heard her itty-bitty self from afar.

The pain, she felt it sprawled across her body the harder she gripped the dirt underneath her fingertips. She wanted to move, stand up and just walk away, but she can barely manage the pain on her chest every time she breathed. Later she felt warm, gentle hands slowly lifting her head off the ground and turned her head. Finally, it was much easier to breath...

Next, she saw light and the mixed colors of brown, green, amber and blue. Everything was blurry and she couldn't make out what she is looking at exactly and then a black silhouette appeared decorated with a couple of yellow outlines and donned a gentle yet concerned voice that calmed her despite the pain she's feeling.

"A Hufflepuff...It must be Yi Sing, she made it after all! And Simi, I think I heard her behind me." She thought to herself.

She couldn't make out what Yi Sing's soft nor Simone's gruff voice was saying, but she heard a Madam Pomfrey somewhere along the lines. Ayumi tried to gather what strength she had left to speak but some pieces of dirt that still lay dormant in her mouth made it uncomfortable for her to speak.

"Come on, Ayumi! Don't be a sissy now! Mind over matter, remember! Mind over matter!" She said in her mind as she prepared herself for what she might regret right now.

With her nose she took a nice, deep breath that caused the sore muscles on her rib cage to expand slowly and pushed the air out through her mouth to push out the last pieces of dirt. The widening of her chest immediately sent powerful vibes throughout her body, and since she sharply let out the last of her breath, she began to cough, and it made her painful sensations grow from bad to worst. Ayumi remembered the rigorous training from her grandfather about how to manage pain, so with her willpower, she ignored the pain and helped herself focus to more important things at hand.

"Yi Sing...What's...going on...?" She gasped from the chest pain.

Then she heard her question about what hurts, but Ayumi accidentally interuppted her.

"Simi. Where...is she..?" She couldn't handle it anymore, not only did her chest started hurting but her left arm and the left side of her head as well. Ayumi felt that she can avoid most of the pain by adding up single words into a shorter, understandable sentence.

"Chest...head and....arm...!" Before she can finish the rest of her sentences to answer Yi Sing's question, she heard the same frightening yet and even louder voice that seemed to be nearby the Hogwarts school.

Ayumi's body was immediately shocked from the reaction since that was the voice that terrified her and made her fall.

"That voice does sound familiar..." She thought to herself as she weakly gritted her teeth.

[Yi Sing Han H1]

Yi Sing gave a violent jump and a sharp, startled gasp the moment she heard yet another amplified noise from afar, and without a doubt it was more of Simone's recklessness. Yi Sing's state of mind had always been calm and collected, but having to witness a friend getting injured and another friend, possibly causing more injuries as she called her way for help, it was close to pushing Yi Sing to her limit. But for this particular moment, just like what her Healer mother would do at St. Mungo's, had to stand strong and firm for her "patient" to ensure their safety and security.
She felt a cold chill down her spine after she watched as Ayumi grind her teeth and felt her angry vibes.

*Sigh,* "I feel yet another heated arguement will be taking place real soon between those two. And my goodness, they just barely finished the one they had just a few hours ago! It's like it never ends!"

She thought to herself as she gave off an even deeper sigh. The two had always engaged themselves in verbal and sometimes physical fights when one does something outrageous to the other and so on while Yi Sing, usually stuck in the middle, was either self-volunteered or forced to help solve or give an oppinion/advise on the choice situation. To her, it felt like that it was a usual routine or rather a rule between the three of them since they first met at Hogsmead buying their school supplies.

"That is something to straighten out later, now I need to focus to make sure Ayumi will be fine!"

She said to herself as she reverted her wandering attention to her friend that was lying front-first on the ground. She then remembered what she was about to say after Simone amplified her voice the 2nd time.

"I know that Simone was trying to be funny and grew a little more reckless than usual, but I know she didn't mean for you to get hurt. So please, be understanding to her! Because right now you are in no condition to stress yourself in another argument!"

Yi Sing told Ayumi in a firm, clear, yet gentle voice as she waited for a response.

"Anyways, as you obviously might know, Simone has sent for help, so please bear on till then!"

She says as she took off her own school robe and blankets Ayumi with it. It was a chilly day, but having to have watched an episode where serious injuries took place, it left her with one heck of a rapid heart beat that pulsed throughout her body, and it compared being overheated from a warm spring day. Since Ayumi barely didn't have enough activity to support warmth for herself, Yi Sing felt Ayumi needed the robe's warmth more than she did. Then she stood up and looked far into the school campus, waiting for Simone and the reinforcements.

She gritted her teeth even harder when the dull, sharp pain flowed around her chest and shoulder areas as she laid lifeless on the cold earth, but what was worst was the attempt to get up. Her body was finally able to circulate blood around her body, but as her muscles began to work, the soreness struck her as if a club repeatedly bashed her arms and legs into numbness.

After a series of attempts, Ayumi was strong enough to stand in a kneeling position and bore her weight by grabbing Yi Sing's collar shirt and pulled her to see her eye to eye, the move probably startled or scared the poor Hufflepuff with her bold move to a gentle girl. Ayumi looks at her with angry, but focused eyes that fought the brutal pain in her body as she gritted her teeth even harder in place of her yelling or screaming aloud like a baby.

"Yi..Sing...! Forget about Simi..!" She said as she tried so hard to balance her mouth to talk and grit her teeth from the pain.

Obviously, Ayumi saw that Yi Sing was too worried and scared for her. Not wanting her to feel that way, she tried to stay tough like she had always been.

"Just take me back....to the school...! You look like you're...getting cold..." She said as she tried to force a smile at Yi Sing and shared part of Yi Sing's robe with her to show that Ayumi was thinking of her well-being as well.

((Okay! This will be the last post for my topic! Sorry that the plot is a little weak! I'll start the next post in the Hospital Wing! Simone, Yi Sing, you know what do to for our next plot! Let's make it interesting!))
