Families in Godric’s Hollow awoke to quite a blaze around 03:00 (3 o’ clock in the middle of the night) just down the street from their very own houses. As the neighbourhood congregated closely around the house - but not too close for fear of being burnt to a crisp! – wizarding officials popped onto the scene. While they put the fire out, the neighbours were questioned about the goings on of the night.
“A bunch of us had a party at this very house,” a witch by the name of Karris Milton stated as she bobbed her head up and down enthusiastically with wide eyes, “The hosts were very nice, but then again the Strobens always are, and they had the most lavish of foods and deserts. Oh, their house elves were just so eager to bring us this pudding they had put together, sweet little dears!”
Many more neighbours commented on the house elves and their eagerness to get the guests to eat their pudding, but none of them could possibly comprehend that the house elves were the culprits behind the searing mansion. Oh, but they were!
Marissa and Geoffrey Stroben, a wizarding couple who are known throughout Godric’s Hollow for their lavish and random parties, were quite shaken up by the inferno and once they were calmed down enough to speak to, they gave us their insight into the blaze.
“We always thought our house elves were more intelligent than to drink butterbeer for hours straight,” Geoffrey Stroben said with a solemn look in his eyes as he comforted his wife, “Juniper always seemed to have a good head on her shoulders, but from what we gather – she was the brains behind the whole ordeal.” Marissa had contributed a quiet squeak after this statement, but refused to comment.
What is the damage? Antique furniture destroyed, memories lost, and one very crispy manor.
If you wish to help the Strobens rebuild their house, please contact your local Ministry officials and they will appoint you in the right direction. Hopefully, not toward a fire!
