Dear To Hi Rex,

Hi, how are you? It's been ages since school broke up, and I was just thinking about you wondering what you've been up to. How have your holidays been? Done anything fun? I guess you and Billy have gotten up to a lot of mischief as usual, right? (Are you only sane around me?) Well, if you are, I'm glad I'm not there to witness it!

I was also hoping to see you wondering if you're going to the school trip that's coming up soon, the one in Wales for an art trip. I can't remember the name, it's too complicated to remember and I don't speak Welsh. I don't know if you're an arty person, but I'd like to see you there if you went I'd have more company. I'm going with Aurora, my cousin - you know of her, right? Ari's not going, rest assured. She's not into art and she's acting like the world's fallen down. Never mind. Basically she's not coming. Meaning I can see you more often without any complaints from her.

Sorry, I know this letter's getting a bit messy. I should really think what I'm going to say more clearly next time...

You'll probably wonder why I'm going to this art thing even though I don't draw. It can't hurt to go, right? And I get to see friends I normally don't see during the summer, even if I spend all year with them. I should really be sick of them now, right? You included. Anyway, the classes available sound fun. I think I'll be going to the photography one, I've been interested in photography for ages, especially the wizard type. It's much more fascinating than the muggle way, which is pretty straightforward. I might go to Art Movements too, if I have time. What do you think? Please come. It would be so much more fun with you. Just promise you won't do anything stupid there, so I can actually enjoy my trip!

Besides thinking about the art course I've not done much during my holiday. Our family's going to New Zealand at some point in August for a few weeks, which will be fun. I'll be sure to send you a postcard. I'm so glad It's a good thing I managed to get your address before we left school.

I'm sending Ari's owl, Atalanta, because I don't own an owl. Please be nice to her. She's quite intimidating and cold, like Ari, but as long as you're nice to her and not play pranks on her, you should manage to escape her talons unscathed. Trust me.

You've probably lost my address already, so I've written it again on the back. See, I always cover your tracks.
