Dear, To Theo Darke,

I hope this reaches you without any problems. Herra’s been a little grumpy lately so I apologise beforehand if she gets a little nippy and causes trouble for Luna (that’s your owl, right? I can’t remember very well.) Ever since Thandi arrived I haven’t been giving her as much attention as I normally do, although I’m a little ashamed to admit it.
But Thandi! She’s beautiful, Theo. She’s so, so beautiful. I came home after our pizza and we went straight out and bought a crazy amount of muggle toys and this huge white cot and a bunch of fluffy things. Then bam! Four days later and she walked through our doors. I don’t want to give everything away because you’ll be meeting her soon- that is, if you haven’t forgotten our agreement! It’s hard not to ramble on about her though. She’s everything we thought she would be, and more. I just can’t wait for you to meet her.
There’s just one tiny downside to Thandi arriving; the present I was going to give her wasn’t able to greet her on her arrival. I don’t know if you know Kael Collins (7th year Huffie?) but his parents have this crazy kitten business thing going on and I’m buying one for her. I know now it’s the perfect choice, for she doesn’t let go of mum’s tabby for a second and Edna’s really starting to get annoyed.

Anyway, I don’t want to tell you everything so there are no surprises for when you visit. Can you come the day after tomorrow? We’re at Lannerstud Llanrsthud Lann Llanrhystud a couple of days after that, so there’s not that much time left otherwise. It’s fine if you fancy Floo’ing here, ma says she doesn’t mind as long as you don’t end up in the fireplace in her wardrobe (it’s endless, seriously) and get soot all over her new line. Otherwise, my address and rough directions are on the back of this envelope. Our house is the one with the red door and it’s pretty much covered in crawling ivy, fairly hard to miss.

I can’t wait Ma can’t wait to meet you, she’s never met more than a couple of my Hogwarts friends (excusing Elsie) and obviously you’ll be the first friend of mine to meet Thandi. You can send Herra back with a reply if you like, just chuck her a few snacks and she’ll stop biting long enough for you to attach it.

Dear To Dear Oscar,

Luna's her name, you got it right. Herra was fine over here, just wanted a bit of nourishment so she shared Luna's food. Luna was a bit surprised when Herra tried to nip her just the once - Luna is quite docile, so things like that do alarm her - but the incident passed without any real injury or shock. Luna recovered soon enough!

Thandi sounds like a great kid; I can't wait to meet her. I'm scared she won't I hope she takes to me too. I haven't always been the best with children so young. I'm better with people couple years my junior. But I'm keen to meet her, and will be on my best behaviour!

That's a shame. I'm sure Thandi will be thrilled when your new kitten arrives. I've heard of Kael, though I've never spoken to him. It all sounds very exciting. We've only ever had owls for pets, but I'd like to have a cat one day too.

The day after tomorrow sounds fabulous great. It's OK, I'll get my dad to apparate me there instead of flooing. I don't want to wreck your fireplace. And it's not the muggle way, I presume. Thanks for the directions.

I'd love to I can't wait to meet your parents too. I'm sure they're lovely like you are great.
