OOC: I don't expect this post to be extremely long since these boards will be closed in two weeks, I just want to get some practice in with Jeremy.
A slight breeze blew across the grounds at Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry, while the sun leaked it's rays through the clouds. A beautiful Saturday afternoon pulled a large number of students out of the dark hideouts in their rooms and into the light of a warm spring day. One of these many students was Jeremy Waters, a first year Ravenclaw who sat under a tree in the courtyard by himself. The heat forced him to take his robe off and he sat on the ground in a blue T shirt and slacks. There were three books sitting open around him: The Standard Book of Spells: Grade 1, Magical Theory, and A Beginners Guide to Transfiguration. With the end of the year fast approaching Jeremy was strict with his study routine, even on a nice day like this. At the moment though he was taking a break and reading a letter sent to him by his older cousin Cole.
I'm glad to hear that school is going well. Everything is going well here too. Dawn and I are working hard on the wedding and I've decided which team I am going to play for. Only catch is you have to wait until you get home to find out. Have you given anymore thought to what I said in the last letter about you playing Quidditch next year? I really think you should go out for your house team. It is a great sport and I know you will have fun playing. Plus I can help you train when I have free time.
Jeremy laughed a little to himself when he read that. Cole had been pushing for him to audition for the Ravenclaw quidditch team next year a lot lately. It's not as if he hated quidditch, in fact he enjoyed playing. He just wasn't sure if he would be able to do that and keep up with his work. Jeremy was a very enthused student and didn't want to miss any chance to learn new magic.
Finishing the letter Jeremy folded it back up and put it in his bag. Looking around he saw a bunch of people sitting in groups around the courtyard. To his left was a group of older looking Hufflepuffs seeming to talk about quidditch. To his right was a group of young Slytherin girls giggling to each other. Shaking his hair out of his eyes Jeremy decided to go back to his reading. Picking up his transfiguration book he began to read when suddenly he heard someone say "Excuse me."
