Woodrow woke up with a start, though he didn't know why. He wasn't having a nightmare, well not what normal people would call a nightmare, but nevertheless, it had wokn him up. He sat up in his bed, and looked around the room at his fellow third years and realized that alas, he was the only one awake. It was only six thirty in the morning, so he thought he would go back to sleep, but his stomach had other plans for him. With a loud growl, his stomach alerted him that he was hungry, and so, he decided that now would be a good time to eat, since it there would be less people around. He quietly got out of bed and into his school clothes. He looked out a window to see that the sun hadn't risen yet, and a good frost on the window as well. Fully clothed, he made his way down to the common room, and out to the halls.
He began his journey from the tower to the Great Hall with an exasperated sigh. It was chilly in the castle, but it would liven him up a little. Going down flights of stairs, he slowly made his way to the Great Hall, and suddenly like he was a warrior on a never ending journey, but finally, he came to the Great Hall. He knew that if you sat down at the table in the morning, the first things that popped up were usually, toast, marmalade, and pumpkin juice, all of which he wanted right now. He opened the doors, and quickly made his way to the Ravenclaw table, where he took his favorite seat at the end.

He wasn't there. As always, and as Williard knew, but it never stopped him from looking over to the bed on his left trying to find a head full of light brown hair peeking out at the top. Instead, there was some red haired boy that Williard hadn't taken the time to try and even get to know. He had mostly been sticking with people he had befriended his first year, as he craved familiarity, but the familiarity he craved would never be satisfied, and he knew this, and he subconsciously wouldn't accept it.
After pulling on a thick, warm brown sweater, he reached into the top drawer on his night stand, and pulled out the magnificent silver ring with the eagle embedded on it, which had little sapphires for eyes. He slid it on his ring finger and lightly rubbed his thumb against the eagle's left wing, as he did whenever he put it on. He often wondered if he had been wearing the other ring, though he knew he probably was, but Williard tried so hard to.....feel him wearing the other but he couldn't. Sighing, he strode out of the dormitory and down to the Common Room.
Before he knew it, he had reached the Great Hall, walking absent mindedly as Williard did whenever he walked through the castle. As expected, the Great Hall was for the most part empty as everyone was still sleeping, but Williard noticed someone sitting at the end of the Ravenclaw table that he had really never seen before. Part of him wanted to turn around and go somewhere else, part of wanted to sit down and eat, and part of him wanted to sit down and eat with the boy he hadn't met before. Walking to the table, Williard decided to sit a few seats away from the boy, seeing as how he wasn't feeling that bold just yet. But, he gave the boy a polite nod and began pouring himself a goblet of pumpkin juice.

As he reched for a piece toast, Woodrow heard the doors to the Great Hall open. Curious as to who else could be awake this early, he looked up and saw a fellow Ravenclaw heading his way. He had seen the guy once or twice before in the common room, but had never talked to him. As the boy sat down, only a few seats away. As the boy gave him a polite nod, he did the same. From the look on the boys face, he was in some kind of distress, maybe he was homesick, or was just lonely. It was much how he had felt at the beginning of his first year, when he had barely even learned wizards and witches were real, but the boy looked to be a second year. Still, though, he decided to see if the boy would like company.
He finished the bit of toast he had left, and poured some pumpkin juice in his empty goblet. He then stood up, and stretched; as he did so, he noticed that some minor rain clouds were accumulating outside, which would ensue a chilly day for those going outside. Finishing his stretch, he picked up his goblet, and walked over to the boy. Sitting down on his left turned to the boy, held out his hand, and said, " Hello, my name is Woodrow Winchester, third year.''

Williard looked over politely, mouth crammed full of toast. He had been in his own world for the past four minutes, so when the boy had sat down and introduced himself he was somewhat surprised. "Ohm Wheeard. Oof!!" Williard had sprayed toast crumbs all over his hand as he spoke and extended it to shake Woodrow's. "Sorry about that," he said brushing his hand off with a napkin. He extended his other hand instead, laughing at his careless ignorance. "I usually don't talk with my mouth full like that. I'm Williard. Not Wheeard, or whatever it was I said."
Even as he spoke, it felt weird meeting a new person like this. But, Williard wasn't going to let those feelings get in the way. He had learned last year that he was way too closed off and overly analytical of people when that kind of behavior was usually never called for. He didn't feel much like socializing, but he found that some of the best times that he had had last year were not planned but completely done on a whim. "I didn't spray you with any crumbs did I?"

Woodrow fought down a laugh as the boy introduced himself. It was really quite comical, although he was sure it was quite on accident, which the boy, Williard was his name, re-introduced himself. He shook Williards clean hand, saying, " It's quite alright, everyone does that at least once in their life, or at least statistically speaking, they do. I once laughed so hard I sprayed pumpking juice on a girl sitting across from me, which made me laugh harder, but anyays, nice to meet you Williard." He smiled, remembering that occurance of his first year.
He took a drink of his pumpking juice as Williard asked him a question, and hastily gulped it down. Smiling once again, he replied, " No, but if you had I would have probably not have succeded in suppressing a laugh, at myself of course, it would have been like deja vu from the other persons perspective." Casting around his mind, he wondered what subject to bring up up to make this a good conversation, and said in a inquisitive manner, " You're the only person I've ever seen up this early in the morning, besides myself of course, and the teachers. If you don't mind my asking, what brings you here so early?"

Again...a dreary morning...Ashanya didn't want to wake up that morning, but, she was feeling a bit hungry & that time was of breakfast. So quickly she came out from her blanket. She peeped through the glass of window. That was not a bright day..a bit foggy.
She quickly opened her wardrobe & wore the uniform. Then she went out to her room..found many students of the dorm going to the great hall. When she entered there, she didn't find any seat on the table of Ravenclaws, except one. Probably she was late. So she immediately went to the chair and sat down on it. After a while, she realized two boys sitting next to her. One of them was having mouth crammed full of toast. Another was having a goblet. Earlier, she grinned after seeing them, but they were looking charming. Ashanya found them interesting and suitable for being friends, so she thought she should talk to them. Ashanya spoke," Hello, both of you. I'm Ashanya Alford, first year. Could i know something about you?"

"Well," Williard said contemplating possible answers in his head. He certainly didn't know Woodrow, after all, and so going into detail about everything that was going on would be very weird. For Williard, anyway. "Uh, I just got hungry, that's all. But I get up pretty early anyway. It's more of a habit. A set routine even." Williard grabbed another piece of toast and bit a piece off. "So, wh-" Williard was interrupted by a girl, a first year obviously, who had addressed both Woodrow and himself. This was too much for Williard. He definitely didn't feel like socializing or making any new friends, though Woodrow had seemed like he was pretty cool. So, he returned to his food, and let Woodrow answer the girls' question.

OOC: Sorry, I kept putting off this post, thanks Williard, or should I say Dylan, whichever you prefer to go by for replying.
IC: Woodrow was in a sense, happy; he had finally managed to make contact with someone outside of class. He watched as Williard seemed to think over his answer to his proposed question, and nodded at the answer he had given. It seemed to fit, yet it seemed he had held something back, which was normal when just meeting someone. Williard seemed on the verge of asking a question, when another voice was heard behind him.
He turned around at the voice, and saw Ashanya there. She was a first year in their house, and seemed to be polite. He turned to look at Williard, but much to Woodrow's dismay, the boy had returned to his food, obviously not wanting to talk to another person. He would have to get to know Williard at a different it appeared, or perhaps Williard would join in the conversation at another time. Turning his attention back to Ashanya, he said, " Well, for starters I'm a lot taller than you." with a grin on his face.

OOC : Woodrow, what do you mean by 'starters' here?
IC : Still waiting for at least one reply from anyone of them. One of those boys, crammed full mouth, didn't seem interested in making new friends. So, he didn't reply. But, the second one was.........yes, it was Woodrow! Third year in her house. She had already met to him in the common room. What a coincidence it was!
But, before she said something, he grinned & said that he was taller than she. "OF course you are, but, the difference is of only 3", and being a third year, it's obvious", she said.

OOC: You've never heard anyone say for starters? It's like saying firstly, something to start off a list of answers that one could use. Sorry for any confusion.
IC: Woodrow showed indifference in his face as she replied to the fact he had presented to her in response to her own question. So maybe he was older than she, that didn't necessarily mean he would be taller, after all he was taller even than some of the fourth and fifth years. Silently these thoughts raced through his mind, his unusual quick train of thought going from point a to point b, and continuing on to c. Looking over Ashanya, he reguarded her as an aquaintance, for he had only talked to her once before, and even then he had shown how much of a guy he was talking animatedly about quidditch.
" Well, since it's so natural for an older boy to be taller than you, I guess I'll be taller than you always." the words came out full of amusement and playfulness, the grin on his face proving the tone was sincere. Taking another gulp of his pumpkin juice, he picked up a sausage. Pulling the goblet away from his lips, he asked, " So, what brings you to the Great Hall so early, it's only six something." his tone polite and wondering.

Williard downed his last piece of toast and quickly drank his goblet empty as Ashanya and Woodrow began to talk to each other. He really didn't want to be there, and feelings of being a "third wheel" began to sink in; though he knew he wasn't really a third wheel, he just told himself that and believed it. He wiped his mouth on the back of his sleeve, brushed bread crumbs out of his lap, and stood up from the table. "Woodrow," he said nodding at him, "nice to meet you. Likewise Ashanya," he said nodding at her also. Part of him wanted to stay and force himself to be friendly, but he didn't much feel like it. "See you two around." He left the Great Hall feeling tired, worn out even. He wanted to just go up to Ravenclaw Tower and crawl back in bed, but he knew he couldn't and he wouldn't. He would press forward. He was going to be okay. He just needed time..... that was all.

OOC : Oh, alright. Thanks for telling that ;D
IC : She found Woodrow's face full of aloofness. Perhaps, she should have not said that to him. So, she regretted if she offended him. He told he would be taller than she always. At that, she smiled over him. Somewhere or the other, his tone was quite joyous. It was a good indication for her. It could have possible that he didn't feel bad of her words.
Continued eating, he elegantly asked why she came around six to the Great Hall. Probably he knew that Ashanya was never on time. Before she answered, she was interrupted by the second one- that boy who didn't seem interested in her. Though she had already acknowledged him finishing his breakfast hurriedly. He excused to Ashanya & Woodrow & promptly went out from the hall. She wished him goodbye too, but in haste, he didn't get it.
Ashanya was inquisitive why he did so. But, that was not her cup of tea. So, she turned toward Woodrow. " Well, I don't know how, but today I'm here at six. I'm surprised too. By the way, everywhere I usually arrive at eleventh hour. But, actually, I was longing to eat something since last night. So i get up pretty early. Hope you know that I didn't had my dinner yesterday", she said, grabbing a piece of sausage.
