((Please post your characters here talking on the bench or cheering on their team or, as Cat had it, whatever else they do on the bench when they're not playing in the game.))

As he watched his boyfriend near the goalposts to shoot a second time, while tracking the movement of the two seekers in the corner of his eye, Oscar found it difficult not to smile admirably. You had to admit it; Theo had style on a broom. He was quick and didn’t waste a moment – unlike Oscar, who had been far too slow and distracted with that first goal at the start of the game. He winced now as he unknowingly rubbed his collarbone while scanning the pitch. It was good Cassie had taken him out of the game then - not only could Gryffindor now have a more focused Keeper, but Oscar could concentrate for a moment on his teams skills and abilities as well as think of tactics; something he hadn’t been able to do out of practise before. Cassie’s speech at the start of the game had stretched a grin across Oscar’s face that he hadn’t been able to shield. He’d hugged her tightly and whispered his thanks; not just for her words but for the effort she’d put into the Gryffindor team. He could only hope her words were true and that Oscar would not fail the lions next season.
Theo scored and Oscar winced for his team and scowled a little, but it was difficult to be angry about it when he wasn’t on the pitch himself, and when the chaser scoring was his love. But still; cheering for the Ravenclaws wouldn’t do. “Mikayla! SCOTT! GET IN THERE!” He bellowed, voice angry. He hadn’t seen his chasers even attempt to intercept some of the passes recently, and that would not do.
Another wince came with the disappearance of the Snitch, something that surprised Oscar; he hadn’t known Melody to see the Snitch and then lose it so soon. She was a brilliant little Seeker and Oscar knew she’d find it again soon enough. “Bludger, Melody!” He called out from the bench gently, but loud enough for the Seeker to hear his warning.
He was back into the game in his thoughts now, and couldn’t deny he was itching to get back in – itching to send that Bludger closing in on Melody straight back at the Ravenclaw bullies, itching to face Theo’s sparkling eyes as he attempts to shoot again. But it was up to Cassie; Oscar didn’t want to ruin Gryffindor’s ‘flow’ by taking out one of the players. But just incase, he watched his captain closely and gripped his broom a little tighter.
