3rd Annual Hoscars!

Well - it's not quite 'annual' anymore since we missed it last year. But this is Hoscars 2007! Awards are given out to those people that have excelled in particular categories, and you get to choose who those awards go to.

This is the nomination phase of the Hoscars. You may nominate up to TWO people/threads for each category. The top nominees will then be placed on the official Hoscars ballot for voting. Please PM your nominations to me. The nomination period will end in one week at 0AM Pacific Time, February 5th.

This year, we have a number of new awards, and not so many of the old ones. We still have some of the old IC - In Character - awards such as 'Best Hufflepuff' and 'Best Professor', but we also have a few OOC - Out Of Character - awards. Those relating to characters are to do with the ideas behind the characters, not the characters' own traits. So when it says 'Most believable character', that's which character you find yourself believing the story of most when you're reading their posts, not which character you would believe was telling the truth. The 'member' awards are to do with members OOC. I'm hoping they're self-explanatory, but if you need an explanation just PM me.

We also have some awards for particularly good threads. For these, just think of which threads you've enjoyed reading (or even, if you have a big ego, writing!) the most and then which category they belong to. However, please give me the url of the threads you nominate - I do not want to go searching through boards to find a thread you've only given me the name of and I will not accept nominations which do not have a url.

You may nominate only ONCE, regardless of how many characters you have.

((Ummmm.... I... Yeah. Haha, I don't really know what to say. (I was right, this sounds even stupider than I'd even imagined it would be!) But anyway, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! Of course, that's what everyone has to say, but I'm honestly very happy to know I've managed to win something after only about a month and a half on the site. It's quite a privilege indeed, and I feel very honoured and surprised. I don't wanna sound generic or anything, but it's really wonderful, and I'm completely shocked. What else can I say? It came as a total surprise to me, I never expected to win. I was even amazed to be nominated!

Anyway, biggest thanks to Izy of course, because... well, it's her fault I'm here in the first place. Still, that doesn't stop me from grumbling to her about the deaths of certain characters every day... *cough* Harry Potter *cough* And other characters that I find amusing... *cough* Justin the Womaniser - Harmony, that's a private joke! You'll put Heather off. [/color] *cough* But anyway, thank you yet again if you nominated me, and if you voted for me. Yay!!

I would also like to say well done to the other winners - woohoo! I'm still rather dubious to the fact I have earned this, but nonetheless, ecstatic. *jumps up and down in excitement* I will try my best to continue being as enthusiastic as I am now. I really have enjoyed my last few weeks being here, and the site has some lovely people. I will try and keep up a good standard, and um... enjoy it, of course! I hope if anyone bothers reading what I write (which is usually a lot of rambling!), they'll like what they see. I like to know I'm enthusiastic... But do I scare people with my enthusiasm?? Let's hope not. Hehe.

I also wanna thank Izy again, and Sadie, and congrats to them, because they are very helpful members, and deserve it a lot (as do all the other members), but Sadie in particular because she isn't even a staff member, and she went out of her way to make my lovely siggie, which I am very pleased with and love to bits. I know she's always busy, and she still finds that time, so I'm very grateful. Thank you! *huggles* - the word is rubbing off on me from Izy despite me saying that it won't...

Anyway, before I bore people to death with my rather silly speech - I can't believe I'm doing this! - I wanna end by saying thank you again, and keeeeeeep posting!! *huggles everyone* Aah, I'm saying huggles again!
