Leo really didn’t know what he was going to do with his day. It was Hogsmeade weekend, which meant that almost nearly every student that could go would be there. He didn’t mind crowds as long as they weren’t being pushy. There was that one Christmas weekend where he was doing some shopping on his own. It was a rare occasion since he normally made his father’s personal assistant do most of the Holiday work, but Leo had to get out of the house. His father was arguing endlessly on the phone with his mother about who would get Leo on Christmas. Leo was used to the constant bantering of the two, but at times it got to him. It was the reason he acted the way he did. Leo wasn’t trying to blame it on his parents. After all he loved the way he was and people just had to get used to it. The village was a mad house with everyone chatting along the side roads, drinking hot butter bear, and the kids throwing snowballs. He had been hit at least a dozen times before he snapped at them. After that no one dared to challenge Leo’s patience. He wasn’t good with children not having any fondness towards toddlers which too returned the favor. If everybody just stayed cleared of Leo then nothing bad will happen. Though, that’s what they did. People knew Leo to snap occasionally when he was irritated and it wasn’t just any innocent remark. Though, Leo still had a somewhat soft spot, but that leaned in more toward the female gender. He was the best at getting any girl he wanted. Though, there was one that would cause a challenge for him. She was slowly coming to him, but pulled back right in time. Usually Leo would just give up, but someone told him that this girl was special. She matched his exact witty mind, and knew how to play his game. The only problem was that she had a boyfriend. When did a little competition ever stop Leo Keane from getting what he wanted?
It didn’t take long for Leo to make up his mind. Since there wasn’t anything else to do back at the castle, he decided to go ahead and go to Hogsmeade. There had to be someone he could be with. Maybe even charm a few girls? Smirking at the thought, Leo noticed the horseless carriage stop at the front of the entrance. A couple past the window of the carriage, holding hands, acting all in love. It disgusted Leo. Any scene of affection like that made bile rise from the back of her throat. Ignoring them, Leo pushed open the door of the carriage, stepping out into the sun filled day. The rain had stopped which meant only one thing: summer was coming. School ended soon, and Leo couldn’t wait. Endless parties and trips to Europe where on the agenda for the Keane family. Plus, the biggest surprise of them all; his mother was getting married soon. The man she chose was a muggle, but he had a son who went to Hogwarts. Leo liked being an only child. How was he going to deal with another boy in the house? Luckily, he stayed at his fathers more than his mothers. Running his hands through his hair tiredly, Leo strolled down the main street of Hogsmeade, deciding on where to go first. He had skipped Breakfast that morning to make it before the rest of the crowd came. He could grab a bite to eat, but would a drink also be on the schedule? Smirking, Leo headed toward The Three Broomsticks entering the small café area. Taking a seat at a table by the bar, Leo set his things down, sitting back comfortably. Someone was bound to come up to him anytime soon. It always happened. Leo was hoping someone he knew, but that probably wouldn’t happen.
Sitting back more in the chair, Leo crossed his legs, his elbows resting comfortably on the arm rests. He had already ordered food and a glass of scotch in front of him. It was half empty already, but Leo was going to take his time drinking. His brown eyes stared at everyone in the room noticing the place become more crowded. Shrugging off the feeling, Leo opened his bag pulling out a couple of letters deciding it was best to reply to them. There was one from his father reminding him what the summer will be filled off; parties after parties, plus the occasional business trip. The best thing about having a father that wasn’t home much was you had the whole house to yourself. Smiling at the ideas, Leo opened up a free piece of parchment setting his quill down for a second to take another sip of his drink. Most of the other students were drinking the usual butter bear, afraid for the occasional alcohol, but Leo was allowed to drink. Everyone knew he loved a good scotch. Hearing a chair pull out in front of him, Leo held the glass to his lips, his brown eyes taking in the new coming. It was a boy a year younger than, but no one he knew. Looking around the room once again, Leo noticed most of the tabled filled up which meant that his table was the only one available. “You’ve made a bold move sitting here,” he began moving the drink around in the cup before setting it down on the table. Leo was going to be civil. “I’m Leo Keane…who are you since you didn’t introduce yourself as you sat down, or even asked. Then again, there’s no rule against it.”
