Serina walked into the garden area and her mouth dropped. She had heard about the garden but never did she think it was so beautiful. She walked over to a bench by some roses growing on a fence, and sat down. She felt the rose, and she was poked by one of the thorns. The pain was horrible, but she had felt worse so she continued to feel the rose. It was a beautiful pink rose, and it's softness reminded her of a mid-summer day when her and her mother weren't fighting and they both sat there in their garden looking and admiring the garden together. Serina missed those days, although there weren't many like those anymore, mainly because of her mothers' job. Serina put her hands in her lap and let out a soft and pleased sigh. She was happy, and she was in a peaceful place. Serina couldn't help but think "Gosh it's about time i found a place like this!" Serina would walk around the school, going from class to class and not once did she relax. Today she found time to relax and she was glad she did. Even though she will have to stay up ten more minutes, it was ok because she could sit and relax and enjoy the beauty of the garden.
Serina looked around to see what there was in this garden area. She saw some other kids talking and laughing as if they were at home and not at school. Serina didn't think that it was horrible to laugh when you were at school, she just wondered what it would be like to stand around and talk, instead of trying to impress her mother with having perfect grades. Serina was tired of having perfect grades, and she wanted to have fun when she came to Hogwarts. That was her promise to her self, that she would have fun and meet new people. Serina was determined to do this.
Serina glanced away from the talkative group and her face clenched together as if she was disappointed. The bushes , she could tell, had not been trimmed for about a day or so it looked like. Serina now wished Marie was here, because she knew that if Marie was here then the bushes would look perfect. Serina was sure of that. Serina felt bad for the bushes for some odd reason. It was like she knew how the bushes felt, like they weren't cared for and that they had no one to talk to. Serina walked over and bent over, put her hand on the top of the bushes, brushing the hard prickly surface. "Oh, it's ok i will visit you everyday." Serina didn't realize she had just talked to the bush. She felt like a stupid geek. She stood up and went back to the bench to look at the roses and other flowers. Maybe she would look more normal by not talking to the plants.
