Summer had finally arrived at Hogwarts. Just as it was too cold within the castle during winter, it was far too hot during summer. Skyler was anxious to return home to a house where the temperature could be controlled. Good old muggle technology. He was not happy that these would be his final days here at Hogwarts. At least for a while. A lot of good things had happened to Skyler while he was here. He had made a good friend for one. Will. How was he going to tell Will? He had a whole month to think about that. He didn't need to think about it now. Now he was sitting near the lake. The wind was barely blowing, making a nice little breeze. The professors had been so worried about exams that they had eased on homework so Skyler had the rest of this Saturday afternoon to himself. What could be better?

it was a warm summer day and payton had just come from his dungeon common room and out to the campus grounds for a short walk when he saw a first year sitting by the lake, he was one of about three others that sat by the lake, payton walked over to him and said "Well, whats a firsty Ravenclaw doing out here?" he chuckled at his size and sat down next to him, hoping his own size would intimidate the young 11 year old first year.

A shadow fell over Skyler's face as a young boy came next to him and sat down. Skyler could tell that this boy was a Slytherin right away. Not only because he was wearing the Slytherin house colors but his very aura screamed Slytherin. Skyler rolled his eyes at the other boy's comment. Skyler had found Slytherins to be bullies but when confronted they were usually full of hot air. "I don't know if anyone has told you," Skyler responded without making eye contact with the other boy, "but blue and bronze are the house colors of Ravenclaw, not Gryffindor."

"Thats what I said, and I can't see how anyone with your stupidity would be put in Ravenclaw, you must be a special child, so they let you pick your house" He said chuckling at his feeble excuse for an insult
