Adam didn't particularly like morning classes. He remembered them as a student, and how much he hated them, and now he dreaded having to teach them. It was a shame that classes couldn't start in the afternoon and extend into the evening for people like him who just weren't morning birds. He knew how hard it was for him to concentrate when he would have morning classes, and so part of him was sympathetic for his students. Still, he managed to get through, and so would they. Sometimes you just had to learn to live with things you didn't like. Live. Adapt. Live some more. It was the way life worked, right? While students were filing into the classroom, Adam used his wand to put three questions up on the board. He found it helpful to go over some of the things that they had learned in previous classes to start each new class. As well, he included a question that would help transition them into their class for the day and see who had prepared properly by reading the assigned chapter he had given them which covered the Norse rune cast which was a simple and popular rune cast that was used by early rune casters. It seemed to help students retain the concepts when he would use both material from previous lessons and then transition into the newer material. Or, at least he liked to think that it helped. Once the classroom had filled, or at least had become as full at it was going to be, Adam turned and greeted them with a smile (perhaps it was a forced smile, but it was a smile nonetheless). "Good morning, class," he started, surveying the room and noting who was and was not present. He didn't normally have to worry about students skipping his class. After all, they had chosen to be there. They could have picked Care of Magical Creatures or some other elective, but they had picked to take his Ancient Runes class. "Why don't we start by taking a look at these three questions I've written on the board, shall we?" He walked from the front of the room to the side of the chalkboard. "Anybody want to take a stab?" ((You may post your characters entering the class. If you wish to answer a question, feel free to just speak up and you can assume Adam would have called on you since you raised your hand. Once the three questions are answered, I will reply and get everyone started on the lesson for the day. You are allowed to enter the class and NOT answer a question if you wish. You are not required to answer a question in your post if you don't want to. As well, it's a first come, first serve basis. Once the questions are answered, then they are done. Move onto the next question. To answer the questions, go HERE. As well, this site will be very useful for all of our Ancient Runes classes. )

Early morning classes were never Josephine's favorite. She dealt with them because she had to, but for the most part she preferred her classes to start later in the morning. It wasn't that Josephine didn't like the morning, but she was usually up till very late at night researching as much as possible and when she got up in the morning she would then go back to researching. Now with this class in the early morning she no longer had that option of researching. Overall it really wasn't that bad of a thing, she would just have to rearrange her research schedule. Maybe if she did that things would come easier.
Josephine poked at the scrambled eggs on her plate before she took a quick drink of the coffee she'd need for the rest of the day. Setting down the cup she pulled up from the table, not really turning to say goodbye to her friends before she pulled up her black book bag and started off for Ancient Runes. At least the early morning class was interesting...and better yet taught by Adam Greene...a student from not too long ago...one that she'd always thought was very dreamy. He always did have the best smile...and the eyes. The smile feel over her lips quickly as she climbed the stairs and slipped down the corridor.
At least there was an upside to this early morning class...well other than the professor. There seemed to be a lack of students around at this time of the morning which meant getting to class was about 10 times easier. That in itself was a plus. Her feet carried her down the hall and quickly to the door, slipping through the entrance and taking her normal position in the middle of the classroom. She was the first to arrive, which didn't surprise her. She was always early to classes...part of that Ravenclaw behavior she had inherited from her sister.
It wasn't long before class actually began and the questions that Professor Greene asked scrawled across the black board. Josephine was the first to raise her hand. "Heimdall is the Norse god that taught Runes to mankind and he was taught them by the Vanir goddess Freya," Josephine said as she felt her cheeks flush a little when his attention landed on her. Really...a man that cute shouldn't be allowed to be a professor...he should be a model or something...something that didn't result in him looking at her, she was already ten shades of red just from that alone.

Why was Stephen getting up this early again? Oh right...he'd decided to continue on with Ancient Runes. It had been over a year since he'd been to the class, but he'd mauled over the material again a bit this last summer. Enough to probably get him by on the fact he really didn't know much. He used to be rebellous...never did his homework...never really did anything. Now though...he felt he was going to change that. It would probably only last the first few days of class, but at least it was a change he was willing to go with. For right now at least. He'd give the professors something to talk about later. After all, they didn't have a murderer in their classes all that often...if ever. Well, that wasn't true...the Dark Lord had been in their classes once before...though he may not have killed anyone at 15, unlike him.
A sigh left his lips, as his hand ran over his face. He was going to be 17 tomorrow, tomorrow he would be able to do whatever he wanted outside of school. Magic would definitely be used on a normal basis and with how his home life was looking he'd probably have to get his own flat somewhere since his mother was still holding back on him. He didn't really blame her, but he really could use the friend that she'd always been right about now. They still wrote each other fairly often, but it never seemed to be enough. She still cared for him, but she was in a deep depression and she didn't want him to see her like that, not when she knew there was enough guilt going on inside him to drown a whole world.
Stephen shook the thought from his mind as he dressed and slipped out of the Slytherin dorm. He thought briefly about getting some breakfast, but the smell wafting out of the Great Hall turned his stomach and he decided against it, moving instead to the stairs and starting up them to the long corridor. The classroom was oddly empty for that time of morning...he thought he'd be late, but without the breakfast he'd been one of the first bunch of kids to arrive. He moved instantly to the back of the class, taking a seat in the far back corner, away from anyone and everyone. It was how he'd always been...sitting away from everyone. It wasn't until the questions started that he felt the need to speak up.
There had been those murmurs he'd heard when the other students had begun to enter. The wonder meant and the eyes that shot to him. They all knew who he was...what had happened, or at least the version of the story they knew. So, even though it was against Stephen's code to offer answers in class, he raised his hand, teeth grinding together silently as he forced his lips to move to answer the second question after Josephine had offered hers. "There are 24 characters in the Futhard alphabet." It was quick, quiet, and quite simple of a resonse for the question, but Stephen did it to maybe shut the mouths of the students who had found him a topic of conversation. Maybe they'd shut up long enough to figure out that what was being said about him wasn't the entire story and never would be, but that didn't matter as his arms crossed over his chest and he sat back, a scowl on his face.

“No Dex stay.” Norah told her cat sourly. Dex however didn’t possess the easy-going nature that Norah did. Actually he was the complete opposite of her. Then again, he was a cat. But Norah refused to think of him that way. She shook her head and pouted her lips. “I want to take you, but remember what happened the last time?” She asked him just as if he were a person. Because to Norah, he was. Norah chuckled when she thought back to that time during her first year. The slightly smaller Norah Walsh brought her kitten to class tucked away in her robes. But when the assignment involved using rats as movable objects, little Dex sprung from her robes and chased Norah’s little mouse subject all across the room where he finally ended up accidently biting a student instead of the mouse. His teeth were still baby teeth so it hadn’t hurt the girl, but Norah still received a detention and learned her lesson even if she didn’t want to. Norah smiled as she picked up Dex and placed him softly on her bed. “I’m sorry.” She apologized to her kitty before grabbing her school bag and leaving the room. Poor Dex. He couldn’t help that he was a cat. Of well. Norah was used to this fact by now even if she didn’t want to be.
Norah walked normally to her first class after eating in the Great Hall. She was defiantly a morning person. Actually, Norah was an ‘any-time’ person. She was normally pretty cheerful but not in a dumb sort of way. She was cheerful in an optimistic sort of way. But Norah’s optimism was what made her stand out. That and her unique way of thinking about things. Norah wasn’t dumb even if sometimes people judged her as being so. She listened to their thoughts and actually learned for them. Norah wasn’t stubborn but she wouldn’t change her way of life to help someone else or just so they could get their kicks out of it. Norah was usually understanding, but not about being something she wasn’t. She would never do that to herself. It wouldn’t be kind.
Norah arrived to the class before a lot of students. She took a seat in the front, alone but that didn’t bother her. Norah didn’t mind having someone next to her during classes, but she was always focused no matter the class. And it just so happened that Ancient Ruins was one of her favorite classes. She eyed the board for a moment, remembering the topic was the previous lesson quickly. Professor Greene started the class and Norah continued to eye the board. The professor then asked them to answer the questions. Two Slytherin students raised their hands and answered the first two. Norah raised her hand for the third and smiled when she was called on. “The three Norse goddesses that are symbolized while casting the Norns are Urdh, Verdhandi, and Skuld.” She answered the question. She wanted to go into detail, but she simply did as she was asked even if she was going over the previous lesson in her head. Ancient Ruins fascinated her. She remembered most of what was said in the classes which made things more interesting. Norah was the kind of person who would remember a lesson while eating lunch and go over it over and over in her head. Yes it was weird, but that was Norah.

Adam saw a hand raise quickly in the middle of the room. Seeing the green on her robes made Adam happy to see one of the more promising Slytherin students ready to answer. “Miss Bowman?” he said, allowing her to answer. His attention was not solely on her response though as he noticed her face was a brilliant shade of red. Was she alright? “Heimdall is indeed the god who taught runes to mankind, though we can’t be certain that he learned them from Freya. Many would speculate this, but it has never been confirmed. Five points for Slytherin.” Adam spoke merely from having read numerous theory book on the subject, but his attention was still on Josephine’s face. Without consciously changing topics, he starred at the younger girl. “Are you alright? Your face seems awfully red. Do you need to visit Madame Pompfrey?” The next person to show willingness to answer was yet another Slytherin. He wasn’t a normal contributor in class, but Adam was pleased nonetheless that his old house seemed to be interested in Ancient Runes, or perhaps they were at least interested enough to make sure Slytherin did well to win the house cup. “Mr. Donahue...” Adam said, acknowledging the boy who was sitting in the back of the class. Another correct answer meant more points for Slytherin. “Yes, there are twenty-four characters in the runic alphabet we are studying, but it’s pronounced Futhar k not Futhar d,” Adam said, making sure to point out the slight error in pronunciation yet in a teaching sort of way and not a critical way. “Five more points for Slytherin.” Lastly, a girl sitting up front raised her hand to answer the third question. “Miss Walsh…” Adam said, smiling back at the Ravenclaw girl who briefly but accurately identified the three Norse goddesses. “Well done. Five points for Ravenclaw.” Having finished the brief review, Adam walked to his desk and took the textbook in one hand and his bag of runes in the other. He then went to the table which was setting in front of the class and sat on its edge as he flipped to the chapter on casting the Norns. "Speaking of the three Norse goddesses, that brings us to today's lesson. You were all given the task of reading the chapter on casting the Norns, so I'd like you all to take out your runes and go ahead and pull three out so that you can begin this casting technique. Then, after you pull your three runes and use your textbook's instructions on how to analyze your runes, pair up with someone and interpret for each other what your partner's runes might symbolize." Adam quickly counted the students in the room. "Since there is an even number, one of you can work with me." He always enjoyed getting to work alongside the students. "Now, remember, you need to have a particular situation in your life right now in mind when you cast your runes. Then, be sure to place them exactly how you pull them, whether it's face up or in the merkstave position. Then, using your textbook, proceed to project the possible interpretation using your runic knowledge that we've discussed in previous classes. Any questions? No? Okay, then pair up and begin casting the Norns." Adam reached into his own bag of runes and quieted his mind for a second as he pondered the situation with which he hoped to gain insight for. Then, he pulled out three of the runes, placing them exactly as he had drawn them. ((Adam's runes: Jera, Thurisaz [merkstave], Kenaz)) ((Feel free to either pair up with someone who is actually posting here, or just pretend that you paired up with someone else in the class and just give them a fake name. Or, if you want, you can approach Adam and do your casting of the Norns with him. Only one person can do that though, so whichever student does it first is the only one who can. House points will be awarded on creative thought and accurate readings according to the class website. )

Josephine was more than happy to get the right answer on the first try, but when Professor Greene then asked her if she was feeling all right she felt her cheeks blush an even hotter red as she looked down at her table, hair falling over her face. “Yeah…Yeah I’m fine,” she muttered as she picked up her quill absentmindedly waiting for the attention to fall on a fellow Slytherin. Finally it seemed Slytherins were taking an interest in class. She really was tired of her house losing out on the House Cup as severely as they had been over the past few years. It was embarrassing. For a house dedicated to being the very best they certainly didn’t bother getting house points in the easiest way possible. Besides there was only so many times she could see Ravenclaw win it…this year she wanted it to be completely different. She had every intention of at least giving Slytherin a fighting chance.
When the questions had all been answered Professor Greene then had them pair up and read their runes…Josephine, much to her *cough* disappointment was left without a partner…how horrible was that? The smirk was almost visible on her face as she moved up to Professor Greene. “Sir, I’m afraid I don’t have a partner if you don’t mind,” Josephine said as she took a seat her runes clinking against each other in the velvet black bag she held them in, her other hand clutching her Ancient Runes book to her. She waited for him before she followed his suit and closed her eyes. Her situation…well it was always the same…always about her sister and trying to save her life, find a cure for the disease that was ravaging her body. She had to silent the power of the thought as it started to overwhelm her…a deep breath in and out as she pulled out the three runes…each one silently being placed on the desk (Dagaz, Jera lying in opposition, Fehu Merkstave).
Josephine flipped open her book, though she was pretty sure she wouldn’t need it…She’d been studying Ancient Runes a lot over the last summer break. She had hoped that it would lead her to some conclusion over what to do…unfortunately they had not and she would soon come to realize that it would be impossible. The thought slipped by her though as she looked over at Professor Greene’s runes, in a hurry to read what his had to say. “With Jera in the past it refers to a time of peace and happiness, the promise of success earned, and overall can break through stagnancy,” Jo said as she glanced only one or twice over at the book, interpreting in a way she hoped was correct, but she figured working with the very cute and adorable professor would get her the help she needed, plus earn her the bonus of getting to have a bit of an insight into his runes. “It seems however with Thurisaz in Merkstave that there was some danger, maybe a betrayal, lies…” Voice was soft now…she was really beginning to think she was wrong with what she was saying and quickly glanced back to the book for confirmation, but she was right and she couldn’t bring herself to glance up at Professor Greene…not with such a rune sitting out like that. She quickly trudged on, not wanting to dwell on that last one, feeling that the next one would be far more promising. “The future of the situation calls on Kenaz, the power to create your own reality, being open to a new strength, energy, and power…Passion will return, and overall there will be a transformation and regeneration.” Jo opted not to list sexual love in there as it seemed to be a bit too embarrassing for her to say out loud, especially when her face was still a little pinkish from earlier, but she thought she’d done a fairly good job of interpreting his runes…depending on the situation at hand.

"Donahue, get over here," Kailyn said, eyeing the boy who had been sitting beside her during the class. She had been somewhat impressed when he spoke up just moments earlier, earning Slytherin a few housepoints. The fact that Jo had answered a question didn't surprise Kailyn though. Nor did it surprise her that Jo seemed almost too eager to partner with Professor Greene. It was obvious, even if Jo hadn't told her many times before, that she had a crush on Professor Greene. Heck, whenever they were in their third year, Kailyn remembered Josephine practically drooling over him back then when he was a seventh year. Adam was his name as Kailyn remembered, but now they were meant to call him Professor Greene. She had to admit, he was quite attractive, but something about him was very... different. She remembered him being so unlike all of the other Slytherin guys. He wasn't rude nor arrogant. Surely there was something wrong with him. After all, he did marry Dixie Holden, one of the Queens who ended up being as crazy as the rumors had indicated. Of course the new rumors were that Adam had impregnated Dixie and then she ran away. Odd. Very odd. Kailyn would let Josephine have her crush though. Stephen would be a fun partner anyways. Kailyn had always found him to be rather interesting. Plus, since Runes was one of her preferred classes and also one that she did well in, she might be able to use her knowledge to get a better understanding of him and the shroud of mystery that was around him. Soon enough, the two were face to face, their desks turned toward each other and Kailyn had already pulled three Runes as she pondered her situation. In fact, she was even bold enough to 'ponder' out loud. "What does love hold for me? Or, in other words, what can I expect when the next unsuspecting boy comes my way. You know that Finn Miles, he's kind of innocently cute, or as cute..." She paused, realizing it was Stephen sitting across from her and not Jo. "Why I am telling you this?" Kailyn glanced at the three runes she had pulled from her bag, but nothing caught her eye as providing much interest to her situation, so she quickly and nosily took a peek at Stephen's instead. "Uruz, Laguz, and Algiz... all merkstave. That's..." Kailyn didn't know what to say. Disheartening? Bad? Upsetting? It wasn't any of these things for Kailyn, but didn't seem good for Stephen. "Well, let's see what that is," she said, taking her book out just to confirm what she was thinking. "For your past, it's clear that it was clouded in weakness, perhaps sickness or control by others." Kailyn smirked, wondering if Stephen would be offended with her analysation. "As for your present situation you can expect confusion... bad judgment." Wow, this was like Kailyn was delivering an omen. Somehow it seemed to fit what she knew of Stephen though. He wasn't exactly a beacon of light. "Finally, for your future there seems to be a warning of danger or lack of protection." She nodded with confidence in her reading, wondering what situation Stephen had possibly been thinking. "I guess all that together isn't too bad, right?" She gave a sarcastic smile, figuring Stephen didn't care much at all what his cast of Runes meant. He didn't seem to be the type to let things like that bother him. "What about me? Any words of wisdom, Donahue?" ((All use of Stephen and his runes were approved by him. )

Stephen quirked his brow up at the girl that was sitting beside him…he hadn’t even noticed her there before. It seemed the longer he was here the less people decided to stay away from him…that in itself was getting annoying. Stephen just wanted to be left alone…with his psychotic hallucinations. He didn’t need anyone there talking to him, trying to be his friend, or trying to figure him out. It just wasn’t what he wanted. It never was. So at her prompt to get over there he merely kept his brow quirked and turned a minuet amount with his body, just enough to give her the assumption that this was all he was going to do. He was already palming three runes as he looked at her, a question forming in his mind, but nothing he was going to say out loud…
Unlike the Valak girl who was having just a doll of a time telling him all about Finn Miles, the boyish Hufflepuff that had somehow charmed his way into her skirt…eyesight. A vague smirk fell on his face, just enough to give the illusion that he was definitely judging her, which he was, but he actually wanted her to know that he was. There were just some things that needed to be kept to ones self…this unfortunately was one of those things, but then again Stephen would have to care to do something about it to make it be unfortunate and really he wasn’t going to. Stephen didn’t care enough about anything really to make a big deal out of it. He doubted he ever would care enough to cause that sort of trouble.
Stephen shrugged at her question as he placed the runes down on the table, his eyes moving over them before the shrill voice of the Valak girl began again. So much for the brief silence being refreshing, it just seemed to bring on a new wave of annoyance…and she was intent on looking into his life. He rolled his eyes, now he realized why she had partnered with him instead of someone else. She was just looking for information and well it seemed she was getting it. Stephen sat back in his chair, listening to Kailyn go on about his Runes. Yeah so they were all Merkstave…no big deal. Not to him anyhow. He was cursed as it was, adding a few more elements always made the experience more enjoyable.
Stephen didn’t say anything until Kailyn wanted him to read her runes. Now that he knew the situation, or the question at hand reading her runes shouldn’t be too much of a problem, even if the question was so cliché it made him sick. “Seems in the past you had an awakening with Dagaz there. Breakthrough for your situation and a transformation it seems,” Stephen said as he watched Kailyn, not really taking his eyes off her…mainly because if he did the illusion of his father would be staring at him. “The use of Kenaz for your presence seems to mean that you’re open and ready to create your own destiny, ready for passion and sexual love.” Stephen continued to hold her gaze, not letting her look away as he said sexual love. He was being a jerk readily telling her this with no hint at a whisper or shame; he wanted her to know it and wanted her to realize that he had no problem telling her what the runes said. “I’d be careful if I were you though. I’m going to say that Isa is lying in opposition here and if it is you are prone to treachery and betrayal. Your future of love lies in ambushes, plots, and deceit. Not the best thing for a relationship if you ask me, don’t you agree?”

Post by Harmony Chan H6 on Nov 17, 2008 10:44:11 GMT
Harmony slid next to Norah, smiled, and looked up. Ancient Runes was beginning. Although Professor Greene was once a Slytherin, Harmony was oddly fond of him. He wasn't sweet, but he wasn't aggressive or nasty like Professor Snape either. He always made Harmony feel at ease. She was just another student in his class, not a Hufflepuff, not a little girl, not a timid character. He treated them the same and that's why she continued to enjoy Ancient Runes after Professor Tyler had left. He was very young but he was just as capable, and since he was used to teaching the students now, he exerted his authority better. Harmony listened to him intently and watched everyone put their hands up to answer the questions. She lingered back and let Norah and two other Slytherins say their piece, smiling when Professor Greene awarded Norah for her contribution. Although they were in different houses and were both very protective of them, they were also supportive of each other - except for perhaps when they were playing Quidditch, and Norah was sending a Bludger her way. The Ravenclaw could become so scary on a Quidditch pitch...
The lesson continued. Professor Greene asked them to pair up, and naturally Harmony turned to Norah. She knew intimate things about Norah already, but she'd do her best to interpret the runes without hindsight. Both girls took out their runes and looked at them for a few moments. Harmony broke the silence. "Ready? Shall I do you first?" Harmony asked as she opened her textbook to the right page. She looked across at Norah's runes with interest, glancing back and forth between them and the textbook. "Okay, so... your past." Harmony tried not to giggle. She knew what little to know of Norah's past already! So what would she learn today? "Jera, also known as Harvest," Harmony read aloud from the book. "A time of peace and happiness." She beamed. "That sounds about right!" She laughed with Norah, then continued in a mock serious tone. "A fruitful season. There were hopes and expectations of peace and prosperity, and the promise of success was earned. Well, your parents became really successful artists."
Harmony moved onto the present rune. "Eihwaz the Yew Tree... Hm, let me see. That's a positive rune, again. It symbolises strength, reliability, dependability, and trustworthiness. Oh, and enlightenment and endurance. You have the driving force to acquire, providing motivation and a sense of purpose. It also indicates that you have set your sights on a reasonable target and can achieve your goals." Harmony grinned up at Norah. "Maybe it means our OWLs? That you're working hard for them, which you are." Nodding, Harmony looked at the final rune. "Wunjo, meaning Joy. It symbolises joy, comfort, pleasure, as well as fellowship, harmony and prosperity! That's good. You might go overboard, but if restrained, you will have general success and recognition of worth." Harmony focused in on the one that interested her. "Fellowship? I wonder what that means?" Curious eyes glittered at Norah. "But your future sounds good to me," she nodded and smiled, the indicated her runes. "Okay, your turn to read me," she giggled, propping her chin in her hands and gazing at Norah in expectation.

As Josephine timidly approached him, Adam couldn't help but smirk at her seeming nervousness. Was she always this shy? He wondered. "I guess you're the lucky one then," he said, probably not realizing that Josephine had created her own luck in a sense. He was impressed though that she wasted little time in offering him a reading. Even more impressive, she didn't need her book for reference. Granted, this showed more of her ability to memorize than read runes, but it was impressive nonetheless. Adam knew that even some of the best rune interpreters and analysts hadn't had all of the runic alphabets memorized. There were dozens of them though, some more common than others. At least it seemed that Josephine cared enough to memorize this alphabet and the runic meaning of each symbol. As well, she offered a fairly insightful and accurate reading. "Well done," Adam said simply. "That will earn you ten points for Slytherin." He was happy to see that his old house seemed to be well represented. "As for your reading..." he trailed off, taking his gaze from Josephine to her runes. "Well, Dagaz is essentially representative of new beginnings. It can mean times of change or transition. Perhaps a significant breakthrough or transformation happened in your past for your situation you have in mind. Moving to the present, it seems that Jera in opposition must represent a sudden end to what Dagaz previously offered. Again, it's a major change, but it's a change for the worse..." he stopped. Giving the negative feedback was never easy. Then again, life wasn't easy. It wasn't happy. He thought of his own life before realizing he needed to finish with the future reading. "As for Fehu... well, given that it's merkstave, unfortunately that's the basic sign of loss. It might not be an actual loss but simply the failure of some sort of endeavour due to a variety of things." He sounded a bit disappointed, but he knew that sugar-coating the readings never did much to help. "On the bright side, this knowledge can always give you the upper hand. You can prepare for a time of negative change or failure." He expected that Josephine didn't need his sympathy or counseling. She was obviously fine at reading the runes for herself with or without him there. "Keep your head up," he said. "The runes aren't as important as the way you deal with the things they are foretelling." After he and Josephine finished, Adam stood up so that he could examine some of the other students who were paired together. "You're free to go if you like," he said to Josephine. The homework is on the board. If you want, you can stay and get a head start on it. I'll be here if you have any questions." Adam pointed with his wand, and a scribbled message appeared for the students to see. Afterward, he first went to another set of Slytherin students who were working together in the back. He listened to a bit of their interpretations, overall pleased with what he had seen. Neither of them seemed to take the analysation too seriously, but they were accurate nonetheless. "Twenty points for Slytherin," he said, passing the two of them. "You're free to leave if you wish, or have another practice cast. Either way, the homework is on the board. Moving on, he came to a pair of girls, one Hufflepuff and one Ravenclaw. He caught the tail end of the Hufflepuffs interpretation as well as her question she seemed to pose to nobody in particular. "Wunjo's meaning of fellowship is often significant of a person's good fortune which is caused by a group or group effort. For instance... a Quidditch math. Perhaps Miss Walsh here will be part of the winning team in the upcoming Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw matchup." He gave a teasing grin, knowing that both of them played for their respective teams. Still, the two seemed to be good friends. "Either way, you, Miss Chan have earned Hufflepuff ten points for an accurate read. Perhaps Ravenclaw will win the Quidditch Cup, but it seems you'll do well to help Hufflepuff stop them from taking both cups. "He smiled again, moving on to assess other students' work. ((If you plan to post in this class, please do so before November 29. The class will end then. Thanks to all of those who have posted already! )
