"C'mon Case! We need to go now!" Bradley called to Casey's room in their London Apartment. Casey peered her head through the door as she opened it a bit. "I'll be there is a second!" She called back and then rushed into her room trying to get ready. Casey would be spending the remaining summer holiday in Capri, Italy where she would be preforming at a premiere, a few concerts, and recording the first song for her second album. She wouldn't have time to come back before school started so Casey had to make her Diagon Alley school supply trip before she left. They would be leaving at four in the afternoon and it was already one o'clock. Casey rushed around her semi spacious room to find her favorite green top. She did and then slipped it on. After that, Casey looked in the mirror, fixing her curly brown locks and then apply a coat of lip gloss. Casey then walked over to he bed and picked up her purse. It would be a crazy next two weeks, that was for sure. Casey as sure it would be a lot of fun, but it did concern her that she would be dressed as Eden the whole two weeks. The only exception to that was when she was in her hotel suite. Casey tried not to sigh as she pulled her purse up to her shoulder. Oh well. This was life. This was her life.
"Thanks dad." Casey said after her dad apparated them to Diagon Alley. "No sweat sweet pea." He said reaching into his wallet and handing her a great deal of money. "Now get what you want to. I have an ice-scream cone with my name on it." He announced walking away. Casey laughed stuffing the money in her purse. This was another Allen Family tradition. Casey always shopped for school supplies by herself and her dad always bought ice-scream plus he would go into a clothing store and get someone to help him find a few new Eden outfits. Without telling anyone that they were for Eden Sweden of course. Casey liked the tradition because she got to be alone which was rare with what she did for a living. Casey liked getting a bit of alone time. Plus, she didn't mind getting new clothes either. Casey made her way in the direction of Flourish & Blotts.
Casey walked around the isles amiously not really focusing on what needed to be done. She had a lot on her mind. The premiere was coming up and she had a lot to do in preparation of it. Plus, Casey had heard of new girl that would be preforming. She wondered who it was as she hadn't heard of a name yet. Casey sighed again walking about in different directions. She wasn't too concerned with getting her books for the moment. Nope. Her mind was too busy moving in every which way. Finally, Casey made herself approach some Potions Books. She loathed Potions, but it would be required for her until her NEWTS Years. And Casey still had a ways before that. She sighed pulling the book out. However, it wasn't a potions book and screamed and snapped shut. Why did someone put this there? Casey had a shocked expression on her face as she picked it up. But, it screamed again and Casey dropped it again. It was at this point that she heard footsteps. Casey stood in silence looking down at the weird book.

Belle bit her lip as she tiptoed down the stairs of her house. It was very quite and the creeks and moans of the stairs were very noticeable. She grimaced with each step and took a second before taking the next. Her hand was on the wall so she could steady herself as she made her way into the large hallway below. It was long and straight until you reach the end where it toke a sharp left leading into the parlor. But before she could reach the parlor she had to walk past her mother’s bedroom. She said a small prayer as she made it down there. She crept softly past her mother’s door. Her steps were tiny and she was aware of every step. Then somebody cleared their throat behind her. She cursed silently before turning around with a darling smile on her face. “Oh. Mom hi. You’re up early.” She said brightly. Her mother gave her one of her looks that where made especially for Belle. “Fine, I’m going out.” She said letting her breath out as she spoke. She couldn’t help but feel frustrated. Her mother got the information out of her once more. “Look mom, I need to get away. This house is too quite, too clean, and it feels like nobody lives here. I need to go where there is life.” She emphasized on the last word making her mother bit her lip. It was one of the things they did the same without realizing. Her mother sighed slightly before speaking. “Fine, but be home before dark this time.” She said trying to be stern. Then she turned on her heel and went in the other direction leaving a very confused Belle in the hallway looking at her with her mouth open. She then to turned and headed towards the parlor and out the door. Her mother gripped her coffee cup and bent her head as she watched her daughter leave the house once more that summer.
Belle had no idea what to do. She had no idea where to go. But most of all she had no idea about anything. She was just blah. That’s at least how she felt. The feeling was very heavy and she tried shaking it off as she climbed into the car. “London please.” She told the man behind the wheel he shook his head yes and took off. She rested her head on the window and wished for rain. The sun looked bright and menacing. ‘Too hot.’ She thought to herself. Belle wished it would cool off, they need rain. She turned her head away from the window slowly as he asked her where she should be dropped off at. “Uhm, the pub right there.” She said pointing to the Leaky Cauldron. He gave her a look, but dropped her off. She paid him and waited till he drove off before entering the pub. It smelt too much like alcohol for her liking. One would probably be able to tell by her face. She trudged on until she made it all the way into Diagon alley. She laughed at herself softly. Why had she decided to come here? She had already bought her school supplies. She had everything she needed in a trunk laying in her closet. She turned to leave, but felt like she couldn’t. She wanted to stay. She began to wander aimlessly. There was a great crowd going towards Flourish and Bolts, and she got swept in with them. The chatter outside didn’t compare to the chatter she heard inside. It was tremendous, loud enough to bring back the dead. As she walked among the shelves she stopped occasionally to read titles. A lot of the books seemed appealing. Many of them about werewolves or other magical creatures. She picked up a book that was lying on the floor to put it back in its spot and the eyes of creature on the cover bored into hers. She made herself look away and put up the book. She walked away going to the next rack.
A scream grabbed Belle’s attention. It made her look around in concerned confusion. It seemed to be coming from the direction where a girl was at. Belle walked over there slowly and silently. She smiled amused when she had finally walked over there. The girl seemed to be shocked by the books screaming. She leaned against one of the racks casually. Still standing there, still smiling. “I do believe that book is in the wrong section. It belongs back there.” She pointed to the magical creature section which she had just came from. “And I’m Belle.” She told the girl.

Casey eyed the book lying on the ground. Who ever had decided to put this here? That was beyond Casey. She sighed. It was only once or maybe twice a year that she got to go to Diagon Alley so maybe she just wasn't used to it. Yea, maybe that was it. She sighed not feeling one slightly urge to pick the book up. It could stay there for all she cared. She'd let an employee worry about it even though she felt a bit rude for leaving it there. Oh well. Casey took a few steps away from up, but looked up when she heard a voice. She smiled a bit. "Yea, I think I know that now." She said smiling. Casey looked the girl over. She didn't seem familiar to Casey at all. Casey was sure that the girl wasn't in her house or year as she tried to know every fourth year even though the task seemed nearly impossible. Still, the girl was unfamiliar to Casey. Casey once again glanced down at the book trying to get the scream sound out of her head. She hated hearing noises like that because she always seemed to remember them for awhile. This of course was a distraction that Casey didn't need with everything else that was going on in her life. She sighed looked back to the girl.
"And just think, I was only trying to be a good little student and get a Potions book then Scream. Man, I didn't see that coming." She laughed eying the girl. Casey nodded when the girl introduced herself as Belle. "Casey." She said introducing herself. Casey had to admit that she liked the name Belle. She liked the name Casey as well, but sometimes about the name Belle seemed more foreign. 'You go to Hogwarts, right?" She asked. Belle could go to another magical school, but Hogwarts was the most common answer. "I'll be a Gryffindor Fourth Year." She told her, just interested in what year and house Belle was in. Casey looked down to the screaming book for a moment and then back at Belle. "So, ever been screamed at by a book before?" She paused. "Either it just screams all the time, or it simply doesn't like me." She joked not taking another glance back to the book. Casey just looked to Belle waiting for anything she had to say.

Belle smiled rather amused. Was it wrong to enjoy this? She hoped not, this was far too funny. She remembered when she had bought that particular book a few months back for light reading. She had begun to read it late at night and it came as a shock to her when it screamed. Her heart was racing and she hoped she hadn’t woken her mother up. She then read the back and smiled. It was just so clever. Turns out you had start from the beginning of the book, page one. You couldn’t turn it to the middle or end. That would ruin the surprise. The book had a memory it seemed. It would remember what page you were on and would only let you turn to the page you had left on at. The power in a book like that gave her chills as she began to read it late that night. It was amazingly intriguing. She finished the book just as the sun began to rise. It was incredible how something so small could make her so happy; one night of reading, one art lesson, one letter from her grandparents. The very same book was now sitting adequately on a shelf on her bookshelf. She had two bookshelves in her room. One held all the books from the wizarding world that had found their way into her room, the other bookshelf held all her muggle books. Muggle literature was perhaps her favourite part of muggle culture. Sometimes she wished she lived in one of those books instead of her own life until she was living an amazing story already. Somehow the plot twist in her life were more exciting, and even though she hadn’t found her happy ending just yet she was pleased that she still had a journey. She was in fact ready for the next thing fate would do to make her life more interesting. After all things were too calm at the moment. The fighting at home had subsided for the time being. And her long awaited vacation hadn’t come yet. Things were defiantly going to get exciting in Italy. She was sure of it.
Belle laughed along with the girl. People shouldn’t put books in wrong sections. That was terrible. “Hi Casey.” Belle said unsure what to say. She was usually very talkative or extremely quiet, outgoing, or shy. Her personality was out of wack most of the time. It was never consistent. Almost less consistent then her emotions. She was a teenager these things happened. It always seemed so dramatic. Maybe that’s why her life was so exciting. Because of the drama. Her biography would make an exciting play as well. She wanted a tear jerker. She wanted the audience to feel her emotions almost as strongly as she felt them. When she was sad she would want them to cry as hard as the person who played her, or when she was happy she wanted to see smiles. Oh, she also loved irony. There would have to be a lot of dramatic irony. She was probably smiling like and idiot right about now for things where defiantly looking up. She snapped to attention at the sound of a child crying. No not from the audience in the play, from real life. Real world. She tended to do this often. She would often float into her daydreams forgetting the world. She would then snap back to reality rather rudely.
Casey had asked her if she attended Hogwarts and Belle looked at her like she was crazy. Well of course she went to Hogwarts, if she attended any other magical school she either wouldn’t be speaking English or she would have a heavy accent. Leaning towards French or Bulgarian. Belle knew she didn’t have an accent. Well most people, mostly Americans, thought the British had and an accent and she of course had that, but other than that she spoke like any other British resident. This girl wasn’t obviously a Ravenclaw, if she was she would have thought that question through. She was about to say something but she decided to choose her words, duh was an appropriate answer. “Yes, I’m a Ravenclaw third year.” Belle told the girl. The book was still lying on the floor so Belle picked it up and tucked it under her arm. She would just have to return it back to its section if management wouldn’t. “Yes this very book screamed at me several months ago.” She told the girl thinking back once more of the night. “Or maybe you read the directions on the back that tell you how the book works …” Belle trialed not wanting to sound rude.

Casey looked bemused at the girl's facial expression when Casey asked if she went to Hogwarts. "I'm not crazy." Casey said laughing. She sighed. "Well, my brother insists I am, but that's just Joel for ya." She smiled thinking of her wacky older brother. "He's a Hufflepuff sixth year." She explained casually. Casey had always been a conversation jumper. She could jump from one topic to another just for fun. Now, she wasn't jumping around too much, but she usually did. Joel called her 'the amazing conversationalist'. Was it true? Casey had no idea. Joel wasn't exactly the smart one in the family. Well, none of them were really. Casey made fair grades, probably above average, but they weren't terrific. She was always singing as Eden which made things difficult. At school, she spent a great deal of time writing songs and making up new dances. Plus, Casey really didn't like to study. Joel. Well, he didn't have much common sense really. Still, Casey loved him. She just wouldn't tell him that. Casey shook her head lightly eying the shelf for that Potions book she needed. It couldn't be too far away, could it?
"I've just assumed that people go to Hogwarts when they really go to Beauxbatons." She laughed. "I can't pick up accents very well. Weird yes, but that's me for ya." She smiled. Casey didn't have a problem talking with other people. After all, that was Eden's job. So if it was Eden's job, it was Casey's job. Casey sighed thinking about how much time she had left and wondering what flavor ice-scream her dad would get her. It was always some weird flavor of chocolate. Still, it always tasted good. Casey nodded when she said that she was a Ravenclaw third year. The girl looked younger than Casey, but not by much. Casey didn't know many Ravenclaw students so this explained why Casey had never seen her before. Casey nodded when Belle talked. "Well, I don't really want this book." She said easily. "It's a Potions book I'm after for OWLS. I'm a bit nervous really, staring my OWL classes." She sighed. "I'm just used to Beginners is all."

Belle bit her lip, this was a habit she tended to do often. Often it was because she wasn’t sure what to sat, or she was embarrassed. This time it was because she wanted to hold her tongue and not say something that she might later regret. This trip had become quite boring. It might have been better to visit one of her favourite cafés instead. She began to drift of again. Thinking this time about her favourite cafés, the rich coffees. The delicious cookies, and the personal service this all made her very happy. One of these very cafés was just on the corner of Diagon alley. She new the manager personally and loved going there when she needed to think. She always needed to think. Her mind was always filled to the brim with thoughts that needed to be sorted, and thought over. She was one of those people who needed twenty-four hours to process something. So when she received news that hurt she would obsess over it. Then sleep and she would find the silver lining. This was a stressing thing to do. Yet she couldn’t help it. This was after all, how she grew up. This is how she would deal with things and that’s why she needed a café to think things over. She didn’t hear some of the things she was sure Casey was saying. And she only began to pay attention when she heard Hufflepuff sixth year. Belle was surprised. How much of the conversation did she miss? She tried to remember what Casey was saying while Belle was on autopilot. Oh, yes she mentioned a brother. This is what she must have been talking about. She smiled to show she was paying attention. She looked around for a bit. And then smiled. It was another silent pause. Well not entirely silent, there where many other customers and they were are all talking combining to the noise.
The conversation resumed and Belle decided she could listen. It wouldn’t exactly hurt her. ‘Uhm, yeah.” She replied to the girl when she mentioned she couldn’t pick up on accents. That was a bit bizarre. It just went to show everyone was different. Belle normally picked up on things that were different. Things like laughs, accents, things people did when they were nervous, words that they said often. You could tell a lot about a person by noticing these things. The silence was there again. Belle waited for the next thing Casey would say. “Well the potion books are over there.” Belle said pointing to a shelf behind her. Pointing behind her was an awkward position, so she turned around then she kind of slipped. She laughed at herself. “Yeah, those.” She said picking herself up still laughing. “So, good luck with your classes I have to go.” Belle said handing Casey the book she thought she needed. “Bye, nice meeting you.” She called when she made it to the door. She pushed the door open and let the warm sunlight hug her. She saw that her normal seat was open so she toke her time getting there. “The usual she told the passing waiter, he smiled, and she sighed. Drifting into her thoughts with nothing to bother her.
