Dear Brother, It is time we work things out. Much is in need of our immediate attention. Meet me in the same place and time as always. Sincerely yours, Ruby
Ruby tucked the small piece of parchment into the owl’s leather pouch. Looking the snow-white owl over she gave it a simple scratch behind the ear. "Find him quickly," she said with a nod as she let the bird take off out the opened window of her dormitory. Ruby hadn't spoken with her brother about what had happened that day in Hogsmeade when he found her kissing Valmer. She hadn't done any mending to their relationship. She knew she should have. Knew that it was of utmost importance that she fix their relationship now before the damage become irreversible. Without Wynd Ruby was lost. He was the other half of her. He was the only person that understood her and knew what to do. Not only that, but he was the other half of their plan…their plan that desperately needed to be set in motion. It was half the reason why she had found herself needing to speak with him. Blue orbs moved around the room, irises filled with mixed emotions. Some of it was pain, heartache, but most of all with fear. Ruby didn’t want to admit it out loud but she was terrified that her brother, her second half would not forgive her for her betrayal. She couldn’t believe she had refused to tell him. It wasn’t like she didn’t trust him…after all Wynd was really the only person she had EVER trusted. The one person that knew her inside and out, the one she’d spent her entire life with…her essences was connected with his…her soul. Wynd was more than just her brother…he was her best friend, her twin. Only he would ever be able to understand her. Only he had been there for her through thick and thin, through those days she’d been forgotten about…left behind by the men she had tried to get close to. She didn’t regret it though. All those times, they had made her stronger…colder in her fight. They would not harm her anymore. They never would be able to again. Thin frame moved from the bed she was lounging upon, digits brushed through the long blonde strands of hair that adorned her golden crown. Thoughts of grandeur, of life with Wynd, impeded her brain and she found herself lost in the beauty of it. Long limbs pulled the black robes over her body the slight sound of static crackling through the hair, hands running over her hair to keep the strands under control…when once again several strands stuck up, digits wrapped around wooden texture, pulling long thing solid wood from the irreplaceable sheath and fixed it magically. Sigh escaped lips before stature moved out of the dormitory and out the crowed common room. Heels clicked against the stone floors as Ruby took her time moving through the corridors and then up the stairs, waiting patiently as the staircases realigned themselves once again that day. It wasn’t long before she was strolling through the empty halls, blue orbs moving carefully, cautiously as she tries to avoid being seen. When her tall frame moves near a wall. She stops and clears her mind, thinking of the perfect room. Then she moves, taking steps and holding on tight to her image. Back and forth she moves until the large wooden door appears in the wall. She smirks a cold, icy smile as she pulls open the door and moves through the wall, the door fading away just as quickly as it had come. Her frame moves to one of the large leather sofas in the room as she pours herself a cup of tea. She had to calm herself while she waited. It would be the only thing that would keep her on track. Wynd would be there soon and when he got there Ruby could only imagine the mental and emotional pain of the conversation to come.

The cold air of mid winter brushed Wynd's cheeks. He had been spending a lot of time outside by himself ever since he got back from break. The break had been an awkward and long one. Ruby and he had never really spoken about that weekend in Hogsmeade and so the air between them had never really cleared. It was weird being this distant from her. They were always connected in some form or another, but now the connection seemed cold. The only other person he could talk to would have been his father and he had slowly been slipping into depression since their mother was captured by the enemy. But soon she would be released and then their father would return to normal. Maybe. The silence of the moment was broken by a shriek from a snowy owl. Wynd had been riding on his broomstick preparing for the upcoming game with Ravenclaw. If he concentrated on the sport then he would not have to think about his sister. Wynd held out his arm for the owl to land on and removed the letter from its outstretched leg with the other hand. He launched the bird in the air and watched it slowly soar away before looking back at the letter. Ruby's handwriting. Dear Brother, It is time we work things out. Much is in need of our immediate attention. Meet me in the same place and time as always. Sincerely yours, Ruby She was right. It was time they work things out. He had wanted to do that for some time now but was unsure of how to go about it. It was like Ruby to take the lead. She had always been the one to take the first step while he usually was right behind her and made sure that their plans came to fruition. That's how they worked. They complimented each other so much. Although it had only been a short time that the twins had been fighting, it seemed much longer to Wynd. To suddenly lose your best friend, your other half... was paralyzing. Wynd thought about whether it was a good idea to meet her but immediately came to the conclusion that it was. She was right. They had plans to discuss. And this little quarrel between them was making it hard to think about the future. Wynd started the walk toward the castle. His legs and feet in auto mode. They knew where he was going. He had gone there many times before. Ruby and he had never really talked about their plans after they had met Damien and Odette on the train that fateful day. Odette and Damien had talked and thought similarly to the Lehane twins but there was one problem. They thought they were going to be in charge. Luckily, they had never returned from Russia after the winter break and no one spoke of them ever again. Maybe they froze to death. Who knows. The only truth was that they were not here now. Which meant that Ruby and Wynd had no opposition in their plan. Wynd entered the castle and made his way to the hallway that lead to the Room of Requirement. He was still wearing his jacket but there was no time to go to the common room and put it away. If Ruby had sent him an owl, that meant that she would already be there waiting for him. Wynd tried hard to concentrate on the image of the perfect room. The room where Ruby was waiting for him. What are they going to say to each other? How are they going to get past this? Suppose that Ruby had brought Valmer with her? No she wouldn't. This was to important. She wouldn't jeopardize the meeting by doing something stupid. Besides, Wynd had made his peace with Valmer. Or at least, as much peace as one can make with someone who was dating your sister behind your back. It took him several times as his thoughts were interrupted by feelings of anxiety. But eventually the familiar wooden doors appeared. Wynd walked through them and they disappeared behind him. There she was, sitting in her spot. "Hello Ruby," he said to her. He tried to keep his voice even. He sat down on the black velvet plush sofa opposite her. While they agreed on many things, they did have their differences. "We do have a lot to discuss." He could feel a small smile try to break out on his face as the connection between them grew a little warmer.
