It was a brand new term and that meant a brand new start for Skyler. This semester would be even better than the last. It was the beginning of a whole new year and new expectations. After his St. Mungo's scare over the holidays, he was glad to be back among his peers. Away from the crazy person that was his mother. That wasn't true, she had been there for him the entire time that he had been in the hospital. But on the other hand, it was her fault that he was in there in the first place. Never mind that, he was back at Hogwarts. Back among the sane people. He was anxious to spend some time with Will after the break and wanted to know all the things that he did while away from school. Skyler wondered if wizards celebrate Christmas the same way that muggles do. Or if they celebrated Christmas at all. Of course they would. Skyler couldn't imagine a life without Christmas.

He was so confident in fact that he forgot that he was the only person in the entire school who seemed to get as lost as he did. Unless he payed meticulous attention to where he was going, every corridor looked the same as the last. That's where we join our hero. Lost. (As the narrator, I think he should just get a map, but hey, I just write it.) Skyler was pretty sure that he had gone down some stairs and then up some other stairs so that meant... That meant nothing. Hogwarts had many stairs that just seemed to go around and around. Almost like the castle was built to confuse people that just wanted to get around. Or maybe there was a charm that was specifically on Skyler and only he got so lost. Maybe he wasn't really lost. Maybe he just thought he was. Maybe around that corner he will find the staircase leading up to the Ravenclaw tower. Just... around... the corner. No such luck. A dead end.

Someone is bound to find me, Skyler thought to himself. Or maybe I'll find them. Skyler knew that he would end up somewhere so he kept on walking. This is why he liked to walk with Will. That way if they got lost he could blame it on his friend because Skyler let Will lead. But he wasn't with Will. He was by himself. Alone. Wait! What's that? It looks like a girl. Skyler let out a sigh of relief. Surely, she would be able to help him out. "Excuse me," he called to hear as he got closer noting the green on her robes. "Do you know where we are and how I can get back to the Great Hall?"

Aimee glanced around to make sure no one was looking. She had just acquired one of her mother's latest Witch Weekly articles that she had to revise for her mother. It was another Ezzie article, and Aimee was given the honor of seeing it before anyone else in the world. She smiled confidently and proudly to herself. She had just received it with the morning post, and was headed down to the dungeons to read it. For now though, it was wrapped securely in a large yellow envelope that required a special spell and incantation to be opened. Aimee had been on top of the world lately. She'd helped her mother with the biggest story in Witch Weekly history, she was recently awarded at least ten points for her house in Charms, and she'd had an opportunity to talk to Timothy Bancroft. Or rather, he'd had an opportunity to talk to her.

Aimee bounced along the corridors with the large yellow envelope tucked tightly in her arms. She wanted to open the package now, to see what was inside, but she knew she couldn't. It was like finding your beautifully wrapped Christmas presents a day early, knowing you couldn't open them until the next morning on Christmas. Coincidentally, that same situation had happened this Christmas. Her mother had been very generous to her, as always. But that didn't matter. All Aimee wanted to do was get down to her dormitory to read that article. As she walked down the corridor, she noticed a small Ravenclaw boy wandering around. He looked terribly lost. Aimee, being a Sinclair had found her way around the castle easily during her first year. This boy however, did not seem so lucky. As Aimee's eyes met the boy's, he gave her a relieved smile as he walked up to her. "Do you know where we are and how I can get back to the Great Hall?" Aimee couldn't help but chuckle under her breath. Aimee had come to realize that the boy standing in front of her was Skyler Willis, a boy who was in her Charms class. Aimee brought the envelope closer to her chest protectively as she spoke. She really wanted to get to her dormitory and read the article, but she figured that could wait. This was an opportunity Aimee just couldn't resist.

"Well aren't you just the most adorable little thing?" She said in a mock baby voice. "Is wittle baby wost?" Aimee couldn't believe this boy had the nerve to approach a Slytherin-an older Slytherin at that and ask for directions. Did the boy have any pride?
