"Rain, rain, come today. Come today so I can play." Danny sang to herself from her spot by the window in Flourish and Blotts. It was cloudy and a Wednesday, meaning that barely anyone was out. The weatherman had also said that there was a chance of thunderstorms. Danielle loved thunderstorms. They were full of energy, thunder so loud your ears hurt and lightening so powerful that the air seemed to crinkle with electricity. She loved it all! Especially playing in them. Of course her parents would kill her if they knew that she had been playing in the rain again. So far this summer she had been caught 5 times and her parents where quickly losing patience with it. Danielle really didn't understand what the big deal was. If the lightning got too close she went inside, end of story. Colds weren't a very big deal either, just take some medicine, get well then play again.
Anyway, what it all came down to was that Danny's parents didn't want her playing in the rain. And she really wouldn't have except the storm today looked like a really good one so Danielle just had to play! If she didn't it would be like forcing a bird not to fly, it would kill her. Besides, her parents were both at work and Danielle had brought an extra pair of clothes to change into later. She also managed to "borrow" one of the good towls that she had stuffed into her book bag along with the clothing. Fingers tapping a rhythm against the window Danny glanced at her watch. It was 12:55, she'd been here for almost two hours. If it doesn't rain by, She checked her watch again. 1:15 I'm leaving.
After one last look outside Danielle decided it wouldn't hurt to look around the store. "Maybe they have a book on how to make it rain." She left her book bag on the window seat and started to make her way around the store.

Harmony ran her fingers lightly through a large book she had just pulled off the shelf, eyes skimming the pages swiftly before smiling and returning it to its position, her gaze wandering to another section in the large bookcase that stocked hundreds of different books, row upon row of them. Flourish and Blotts always had such a wide collection of fascinating books, and Harmony loved going there, just to search through them and admire the vast amount. Her eyes latching onto a particular purple covered book, Harmony once again reached up and pulled it down with ease, beginning to flick through the pages with interest. This one would probably suit Ari… Looking up from her observations, Harmony’s eyes scanned the store around her, trying to find her older sister, but Ari didn’t seem to want to be found. ”Hm… I wonder where Ari went.” Harmony mused to herself, eyes crinkling a little in worry as they returned to stare through the book in her hands. Maybe Ari had just gone further into the store. Or perhaps she had stepped out of the store for a moment or so. Harmony closed the book in her hands and pushed it back into the shelves carefully, before her gaze swept round the room again, observing each individual customer searchingly.
Aurora’s excuse before she had left Ari and her was that she wanted to go buy a certain book, so she must have been in Flourish and Blotts, Harmony deduced as she looked around curiously. Perhaps she was here now, since she hadn’t left them that long ago. Harmony wondered why her cousin had just run off like that, all by herself. Aurora had never been one to be alone; she was usually surrounded by people, being the social butterfly she was. Her strange behaviour worried Harmony, but Ari had seemed neutral about Aurora’s departure, having given a long sigh, before telling Harmony they’d better continue without her. Not seeing Aurora’s figure anywhere, Harmony gave a defeated sigh and ambled to another section of the shop, a little bored. They weren’t shopping for supplies for the upcoming school year or anything; they wouldn’t be doing that until nearing September, hence why Flourish and Blotts was considerably empty in comparison to those days at the end of August, when everyone was preparing to return to Hogwarts. The main reason why the family was in Diagon Alley was to fit new school robes for Leo (to avoid the rush in a month or so’s time) and to buy the odd things, a bit like a random shopping spree. But Harmony had never been one to spend money unnecessarily, and she had nothing she needed. Textbooks couldn’t be bought yet without the list, which came much later.
Peering out of the shop window curiously, Harmony noted the dark skies with a cross between a frown and a smile. Ari would certainly be pleased, because it looked like a thunderstorm was just around the corner. Harmony herself, on the other hand, had never been fond of them; rain she could tolerate, although she much preferred the warmth of the sun. The rain sapped away all her emotions, leaving nothing; but that was probably what Ari enjoyed about it in the first place. No, rain was fine… It was thunderstorms Harmony didn’t like. They frightened her, the danger that they posed. She gave a light sigh as she withdrew from looking out of the pane of glass, trying to ignore the swirling black clouds overhead. For now, Harmony would remain inside Flourish and Blotts, until Ari found her again, anyway. Wandering back inside, Harmony wasn’t paying much attention to where she was going, mind musing about whether or not Ari knew about the current bad weather outlook, until she accidentally walked into somebody, exclaiming in surprise as she was knocked backwards a few steps. “I’m sorry!” Harmony stuttered as she steadied herself, looking up at the unfortunate person she had hit. “I wasn’t looking where I was going…” Harmony observed the person she had hit, hoping she hadn’t injured them in any way, her eyes scanning over the hair of a younger girl, whom she thought she recognised. “Um, don’t you go to Hogwarts too?” Harmony tried a faint, timid smile.
