The sun was shining, no clouds were in the sky, and there was a light wind blowing across the yard at Madelines house. Madeline herself stood inside the house glancing out her room window two stories above the ground. She knew today would be a perfect day to preform some shopping in Diagon Alley. She might as well go ahead and by herself some new robes and things for next year while the shops weren't completely occupied and full of boys and girls so that Madeline wouldn't be able to fit in the shop next year. Grinning she stepped back from her window and shut the shutters before heading to her bathroom for a good cleansing shower so that she didn’t go to Diagon Alley to see all of her friends again smelling like sweat and the odor of cleaning supplies. She was sure that bleach was up her nose or something because it was all she could smell. She ended up using three bottles of those small hotel shampoos just to get the cleaning smell off her body and then began working on her hair, which she now hated because of how thick it was and how hard it was to remove dirt, smells, and things out of her hair. Smiling, Madeline was satisfied with the new smell that she found herself giving off and so she was then done and headed to her closet for clothes.
She ended up in a pair of blue jean shorts and a black ‘Alexis on Fire’ T-shirt when she finally decided that this what she would be wearing. Slipping on some lime green flip-flops to match the writing on the shirt she quickly went to her mom and asked her to do her hair into two French braids before adding some hoop earrings to her ears before she glanced into mirror to see if the look worked like she hoped. She was big on braids and earrings, the mix was kind of like her signature of everyday summer hair. Making sure her blonde bangs were swept to the side of her forehead she added two black ribbons to each braid and then headed down the stairs to her kitchen where her fireplace was located. Her dad was already at the kitchen table eating some breakfast when she arrived. He smiled at her. “I’m guessing you need some money for this trip, correct?” he asked. She nodded grinning back as he handed her the key to their bank at Gringotts. “Remember you are limited to the amount of money you take!” he said, seeing her nod. She knew not to take to much because she would need some for her next trip. She stepped into the fire place and tossing some floo powder she watched herself go up in flames and got a browse of other peoples houses as she headed to Diagon Alley. She arrived and quickly found the bank and took out some gold for herself.
With a new amount of money hitting her side as she walked she headed to Madam Malkins and found herself buying some robes quickly, Madam Malkins seemed so delighted that she was finished faster than Madeline was ready because she had been talking to Madeline so much. After this Madeline headed down the street and ended up sitting happily at a local café sucking down a caramel frappuccino. Her things down on the ground beside her she wondered and hoped if any of her friends from school would show up at all. She knew people would probably be bored, but them showing up on the other hand was a question that remained in Madeline’s mind.
