Sep wandered into the common room, wondering why she was inside. She didn't like inside or anything, in fact she rather disliked it but for some reason she was inside in the student lounge. At least her feet hadn't carried her to the common room. Sep hated the feeing of having no one be able to come down to where she was. She felt trapped. She felt trapped anywhere inside really, that was just her.

Septimus wasn't the only one in the lounge, though. Off in a corner, as if trying to remain hidden from any and all prying eyes, was another student, a black-haired third-year furiously scribbling at a piece of parchment. The scribbles were random - just spontaneous rants and bits and pieces of ideas that she had going on in her head - but she was deliberately trying to keep herself quiet. She had a serious shyness factor - always had - and thus barely talked to anyone save for staff members and the professors.
The girl looked up slightly upon hearing footsteps, catching sight of Septimus, who was a year younger than her. She was a Gryffindor, too, but there was something about her that put the black-haired girl on edge. She looked down at her parchment again, continuing to write whatever random idea came to mind.

((normally when I do these no one replies! Thanks!))
Sep had started pacing the room when she saw a girl sitting down and scribbling. The obvious thing to do would be to go up and talk to her. "I'm Sep," she said easily, quite unlike herself."What's your name?" Why was she being so, friendly. It was strange to Sep, she was never normally like this. Why was she now? Odd, really. But no matter, she'd just be.... kind. "I'm in Gryffindor too, are you a third year?" Okay, this was too wierd, Sep would go crazy if she acted this way much longer. "Umm, do you feel wierd? 'Cause normally I wouldn't be so friendly."

((Your welcome.))
The girl gave a meek smile, nodding in response to Sep's question.
"I normally don't talk to people much, either," she responded, her accent slightly Scottish. "And yes, I am a third year. I'm Silvia."
She was a bit on edge herself - she had barley any sort of social experience, so talking to people around her age was a bit odd for her. The girl set down her quill. Well, maybe this might help get rid of her shyness factor...

This girl seemed very shy, Sep thought, it was strange to Sep who wasn't used to speaking to nervous people. NO! She was NOT going to be that weird, NICE person. That had been to strange. Sep rolled her eyes to the girl. "I didn't mean talking to people though I don't admittedly talk much either. Oh and by the way I recovered. I'm more like myself now. Oh and why are you Scottish? You sound like it." All these questions were actually on her mind so they weren't just out of thin air. She might need to find some questions out of thin air though with this brother and sister thing, whoever she got paired with.

Samaal burst the door open to the lounge and strode in, snarling to himself. Whenever he was angry, his face was blank, unreadable. He kept his emotions in, they had nothing to do with anyone else. But this time he was so angry, his face was twisted with wrath. Samaal slammed his books on the table nearest the door and narrowed his eyes as he looked around the lounge. Two little Gryffindor girls. Sam paced around his table, An F in Transfiguration! McGonagall was biased against Slytherins, everyone knew that! Samaal wheeled around, his wand in his hand and pointed it at the Transfiguration book. It flew open with a bang onto page 619. He approached it, his brown eyes slits and his mouth curled in rage. He had mistaken the date. The bloody date.
An F in a Transfiguration test meant a letter from his Mother. Samaal, do not discard your future and let a bunch of rot-bloods take your place. Where would we all be, if wizarding blood flowed thick like filth? Take what little pride you have left and rise above the others. Few Slytherins really know what it means to be pure of blood. If you do not take your future into your hands, however, I should decline relation between us. Remember what I have said, Samaal. He could imagine her scowling at the thought of him as she scribbled the letter miles away. It would no doubt arrive over breakfast the next day. Adam would clap him on the shoulder and grin "tough luck, mate." and chortle with the other Slytherins. Samaal would force himself to twist his mouth into an unconvincing smile and laugh along.
Samaal turned on his heel and found himself staring in the direction of the Gryffindors. Mud. Filth. Impurity. He curled his lip and rounded on his table. He sat down heavily and kicked his feet out. Sam pointed his wand at his books and they swang off the table-top and clattered to the floor. He gripped his wand tightly, hands shaking with anger and eyes sparking madly.

When Ary entered the room, she backed away in alarm. A Slytherin fifth year was pacing the room snorting with rage. His book flew open with a bang. Ary's eyes darted around the room. He hadn't noticed her. He rounded on two girls from her house and curled his lip in obvious disgust before he flung himself into a chair. His stack of books was thrown to the floor with a flick of his wand. Ary looked over at the Gryffindors. Septimus! She hurried towards the latter, keeping distance between herself and the Slytherin. "What's happening?" she whispered, her eyes alight with a mixture of fear and excitement. She looked at the other girl. It was Silvia Callisto, a girl in her year. Ary nodded at her fleetingly.

A furious slytherin entered the room. Sep didn't like him instantly. Knowing Slytherins he probably tripped over a half-blood. Then Ary entered. She was really Sep's friend now so Sep was glad to see the other girl. She turned away from Silvia and turned greatfully to Ary. "Hi, I'm glad to see you, I'm not really sure what's going on either. He," Sep put emphasis on 'he'," just seems to be angry. You know Slytherins, he probably came second to a pureblood Slytherin that wasn't himself." Sep rolled her eyes. Slytherins were so predictable. So steriotypical. She was definitely glad Ary was here to talk to now.

Samaal forced his heartbeat to return to normal. Who cares if a filthy teacher gave him a failing grade? Nobody here had any idea. His eyes flitted around the room. Another Gryffindor girl had walked in and the girls were shooting him glances and talking in excited voices. Let them talk he thought to himself as his hand twitched to his wand. Samaal's lip curled and he balled his fists. Anger is a sign of weakness he told himself, ridding his face of any expression. He caught snatches of what they were saying, "You know Slytherins, he probably came second to a pureblood Slytherin that wasn't himself." A muscle tensed in his jaw, but other than that he kept his face blank. Samaal loathed people who were as easy to read as a book. Most Slytherins were like that. With a lazy flick of his wand, he levitated his books off the floor. They bumped onto the table in a neat stack. At least he knew he would come top of the class in Potions. Who would dare fail him in Potions? His parents couldn't care less if he didn't get a sufficient Herbology grade. He was bound to do well in Defense against the Dark Arts.
Samaal tried to think of something... settling. His Quidditch audition. He had auditioned for the Beater spot a week ago and had been accepted on the reserve team. He was now awaiting the next practice to play against the other reserve players for the Beater spot. Samaal was going to win. He was going to play for Slytherin. Samaal shot a look at the girls and narrowed his eyes.
