Molly couldn’t believe that it was almost time for Fleur to have the baby. She had been waiting as the months passed by slowly. Molly had been excited ever since she had heard the news, but upset that it had taken Bill so long to tell them. Molly had told everyone she knew, she was going to b ea grandmother. Molly couldn’t believe it. She would have never thought she would be so happy to be telling everyone that, but she couldn’t seem to stop saying it. Molly was busy now scrubbing the Burrow clean as Fleur and Bill were on their way to the house and so were all of her other children. Molly wanted the house to be perfectly spotless in case Fleur went into labor with the baby while they were there on the busy. Molly couldn’t believe that all of her children were coming home for a visit. This was the first time in a while that Molly had all of her children home at once again. With a wave of her wand, Molly had dishes scrubbing themselves, rugs getting themselves beaten so that there was less dust in the house, and many other chores that would have taken her all day, doing themselves to give her some time to prepare the bedrooms for everyone. The house had to be perfect just in case there was to be another Weasley born in the house. Anything could happen, and Molly had a feeling that it would.
Molly glanced at the time and realized that everyone should be arriving to apperated to St. Mungo’s together shortly. Granted, most of the Weasley family had not been the same since Harry’s death, and this would be the first time they had all been together since then, those were issues to be dealt with later. There was a new person to welcome into the world, and that would be a cheerful occasion. Molly was determined that it would go right. Looking around the house, most of the chores were done, but Molly still wanted to get Bill’s old crib out of the attic and be sure it was safe for the baby. It would be wonderful if that old crib would get some use again. It had been through most of the boys, and Ginny. As Molly thought about it, the extra crib that was in the attic had belonged to George and was used by Ron as well. Making her way up the stairs, Molly hoped deep in her heart that Fleur and Bill would stay around the house for a while after the baby was born so that Molly would be able to help Fleur with the baby. Molly needed to feel needed again by her children and helping with the baby would be one of the few ways that would happen. Her children were growing up, almost all grown for that matter, and there was nothing Molly could do to stop it from happening. Molly sighed at the thought that her children were slowly getting to where they didn’t need her anymore, and the thought almost made her cry. Not today, today I am needed. Today Fleur needs me, and Bill needs me. Today will not be the day I am not needed. Molly continued her walk up the stairs toward the attic, as she had stopped midway when the thoughts about not being needed had come into her mind. The crib was in the attic, she was determined to bring it down to the living room the muggle way, by carrying it. Molly was slowly getting tired of using magic for simple everyday tasks, and had started doing things the way that the muggles did. Molly reached the attic, and found the crib in the corner. Moving things out from in front of the crib, Molly picked it up and carefully began her way back down the stairs.
Getting the crib downstairs, Molly began to check it over making sure that nothing could hurt the new baby and that the crib would be safe for use. The varnish on it was trying to peel a bit, but a wave of her wand and Molly had that fixed in just a matter of seconds. The crib was in perfect condition and Molly hoped that Fleur and Bill would enjoy having it. Fleur hadn’t been horribly picky about anything since the wedding, but this was their first child and Molly remembered how horrible she had been with Bill, only wanting the best for the baby. Molly was sure though, that once Fleur learned that the crib had once been Bill’s, she would understand the importance of it. Molly had just stood up to check the time when she heard the sound of someone walking up the drive to the house. The Burrow, still under many of its protection spells, could only be apperated away from, but not to. Molly had gotten so used to having that spell on the house that she couldn’t bring herself to take it off. She moved herself to the kitchen to await the arrival of her children and her husband so that they could all travel to St. Mungo's together
((A long awaited post, wouldn't you all agree? Hope everyone likes it as I'm a bit rusty with the posting))
