“Cia, get up. C’mon.” A Voice called city at the end of Ciaran’s bed. Ciaran opened his eyes slowly and blinked a few times. “Finn?” He called. His vision was still a bit blurry. Finn nodded, then leaped off the bed and walked to Ciaran. “Yes, it’s me, now get up!” She called pulling the covers from him. Ciaran sighed and pulled himself from the mattress. He eyed her a bit confused. “Weren’t you mad at me yesterday for not wanting to date Lucy?” He asked eyeing her. Finn rolled her eyes. “Yes, but that was yesterday. Besides, you need to focus more on the future than girls.” Ciaran chuckled a bit. “I can’t believe the great Finnea Douglass just said that sentence out loud.” Finn shoved him playfully. “Shut up.” She said looking to the ceiling for a moment. Ciaran laughed in response. “Look, I’m sorry.” She said finally turning her gaze to him. “I dunno, I’ve just been lonely lately is all. I don’t want you to be like that.” Cia nodded, understanding what his sister meant. Finn was finally getting tired of hopping from guy to guy. Could it be that Finn Douglass was finally growing up? Cia had wondered if it would ever happen. Ciaran had been told early on in his life that he was an old soul. Finn always said that it was true, but she never realized how immature she acted. Maybe now she was.
“So get dressed.” She said hoping to the door. “Why?” He asked standing up. “Because you’re coming with me to work today?” Ciaran raised an eye-brow. “To The Ministry of Magic, why, how?” He asked a bit excited about her announcement, but he was still curious all the came. “Daddy set it up. You’re gonna spend today with your big sis.” She said smiling. Ciaran eyed her. “You wanna work at the ministry, right?” “Yea, but..” “Well, now you’ll see what it’s like.’ Ciaran sighed. “But, I want to be an Unspeakable, Finn. We’ll work in two completely different compartments.” Finn sighed. “C’mon Cia. This is a good chance for you to see what it’s like. You coming or not?” She asked point black. Ciaran sighed and then finally smiled. “Of course.” He said walking over to his dark colored dresser. Finn laughed. “You have fifteen minutes little brother.” She said leaving the room. Ciaran laughed as she left. Maybe Finn was finally growing up. Maybe, she was finally turning into someone that the family could be proud of.
Ciaran walked down to the living room ten minutes later wearing kaki pants, a red button-shirt, and a black cloak over to.” Finn laughed at his clothes. She was wearing rose colored work robes. “You just couldn’t wear dress robes could you?” Ciaran laughed and raised an eye-brow. “You know me better than that Finn.” She laughed as he walked over and took hold of her hand. “Hang on tight.” She said before the ‘pop’ sound was heard. Ciaran eyed The Ministry as they arrived. He had been there before so it wasn’t something new to him, but still the atmosphere always amazed him. Finn smiled looking to her brother before letting go of his hand and grabbing his wrist. “C’mon. I’m gonna be late.” She said pulling him towards an elevator. “Like you’ve ever cared before.” He said slyly. Finn pushed. “Hey, play nice little brother. I can take you straight home.” They both laughed in response before hearing a voice. “Level Three. Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes.” Finn smiled. “Welcome to me life Cia.” She said pulling him from the elevator.
Finn continued to pull Ciaran to her desk. Finn was working on her way to becoming an Obliviator. She was still in training, but she was only had six months left. Finn’s desk was surrounded by other obliviator’s desks. She sat down at her desk and then got Ciaran a desk by Accio. Suddenly, a voice was heard. “Finnea Douglass.” “Yes?” Finn asked as she filled out a form as fast as you could. “Lamenta Barth wants to se you and your brother in her office.” “On our way.” Finn responded. She looked to Ciaran. “Lamenta’s one of my bosses. Nice lady, really. She knows you’re here, probably just wants to talk to you.” Ciaran nodded before Finn pulled him down the hall. “C’mon.” She insisted. Ciaran followed Finn as he had no other choice. Finally, she stopped walking and knocked on a door. “Lamenta?” She asked. “Come in Finn.” A bubbly voice called. It seemed that Finn’s boss couldn’t be too much older than Finn. And when Ciaran saw her, he was certain of it. She was rather young, probably on two years or so older than Finn. She smiled at the two. “Ciaran, right?” He nodded. “Glad you’ve come. I’ve heard that you wish to work at the ministry when you graduate.” He nodded again. “Yes, as an Unspeakable.” She smiled. “Smart choice.” Finn laughed a bit. “Okay, well the reason I called you two in is Finn, you have a more serious job today than usual. Jaryn Bout will escort you and your brother to Obliviate a muggle’s memory. Apparently, the women a Miss, Erin Wright, witnessed a Hogwarts Student practicing apparition.” She said eyeing Finn who nodded. “Finn you know the drill, but Jaryn will be there as back-up.” Finn smiled a bit. Lamenta then looked over Ciaran. “Ciaran, you just learn something, okay?” He nodded and smiled before following Finn out of the office.
After apparating to the house, Ciaran followed Finn to the property. Jaryn was on his way, but had instructed Finn to go ahead and talk to Erin and he would come as soon as possible. Finn knocked on the door as they approached. A fairly pretty girl with short black hair and blue eyes opened it, looking sort of distressed. “Who are you? Mental doctors or something? I don’t need help! Don’t listen to mum, I’m not crazy!” She proclaimed almost on the verge of tears. Ciaran looked to Finn as to say, ‘Hurry up. Do it now.’ Finn nodded, knowing what he meant. The girl continued to cry. “No, don’t worry.” Finn assured her. I don’t think you’re crazy.” She exclaimed seriously. “You don’t?” Erin asked. Finn sighed. “Where’s your mum?” She asked. “At the store.” Erin said eyeing Ciaran and then looking back to Finn. Finn looked around not seeing any sign of Jaryn. She started to take out her wand, staring at Erin. “Sorry Erin.” She muttered pulling the wand to Erin’s face as she decided that it was time. “You should be.” Erin responded, but the voice was different sounded than when she first spoke. She pulled out a wand. Ciaran tugged for his, prepared to do something. Finn stuck her other hand out to him as to say ‘wait’. “My brother is dead because of you Finn Douglass. Dead!” She paused. “But, you’ll never do that to anyone ever again." There was flash of light. Neighbors later explained the noises they heard as “Ahh!” ”Finn!” “Told you, you would Finn!” And a simple, ‘pop’.
