The day had finally come. Jeremiah had been dreaming about it every night, literally, since he proposed to Vanessa in the courtyard while they were still students at Hogwarts. He never imagined he'd be so nervous though. He figured it would be more excitement than anything, however he was sure that the nerves were probably caused by the excitement in the end. As he buttoned up the last few shiny black buttons of his tuxedo, Jeremiah looked in the mirror, a large grin plastered on his face. He shifted the waist of his pants, and turned a few times to make sure that everything was situated. The last time he had needed to dress up was the day of his father's funeral. There would be no sadness today however; it was going to be the single most memorable day of his life. Jeremiah was sure of that.
The door of the small chapel room opened and Brantley walked in, dressed in a tux as well. Jeremiah nodded with a smile. "Thanks again for doing this for me," he said to the boy he really didn't know all that well. Jeremiah left his comment at that though, not sure what else to talk about. Plus, it was hard to think about anything besides Vanessa at this point. He was so excited to see her in her dress, sure that she would be gorgeous. Twisting his wrist around, Jeremiah checked the his watch for what seemed like the billionth time. Only two minutes! Hours had been seeming to drag so slow, but it was almost time now. His palms were slightly moist, and he wiped a thin layer of sweat from his forehead. "You have the ring?" he asked, turning to Brantley as the minister came into the room and informed them that they should take their places. Seeing Brant flash the black velvet box, Jeremiah turned and followed the minister out onto the small platform that led from the stage door.
There were not many people sitting in the few rows of benches. He did spot both of his sisters though and smiled at them kindly. Most of the people there were family friends of Vanessa's, and even they numbered below twenty. Jeremiah was glad it wasn't a bit wedding though. He'd have had it be just he and Vanessa if he could, but he knew it was best to have her family there. Plus, it had been ages since he'd seen his sisters. Neither of them were able to make it to his father's funeral, not that they probably cared though. Snapping him out of his thoughts, the music started, and Jeremiah turned his view to the back doors.

“Vanessa Baer, Vanessa BAER.” She repeated to herself as she hummed and slipped her feet into the white pumps she had bought for this occasion. For this very special occasion. It was amusing that she was dropping one letter in her name. Vanessa couldn’t get over it. She kept playing over that conversation in her head; “Bauer. That’s Baer with a U between the A and the E.” That seemed so long ago, but it was really only awhile ago. Vanessa smiled fondly at the thought of losing the U in her name. She wasn’t going to be Vanessa Susan Bauer for much longer. She was going to be Vanessa Baer. That made her smile so much it hurt, but she couldn’t help it. She was smiling the most she had ever smiled ever before. She continued to hum as she fixed the wooden bead necklace that she had added to her neck. Vanessa was so extremely glad they were having a simple wedding, small, intimate. She had never been one for extravagance. Which only made the beaded necklace something to be expected. Vanessa didn’t like diamonds all the much – she always felt like she might lose them or something. The beads were a very Vanessa addition to the classically simple wedding dress. It was floor length, white, and it had spaghetti straps. The material was…well, Vanessa didn’t know what the material was, but she knew it felt good against her skin and it wasn’t silk.
She jumped when the door to the room she was changing in opened and Jordan entered wearing the bride’s maid dress Vanessa had picked out for her. It was a dark, almost navy, blue spaghetti strap dress made of the same material Vanessa’s dress was made out of. The only difference, aside from the colour obviously, was the fact that Jordan’s dress poofed at the bottom a bit because of the material that was underneath it. Jordan had been happy with the dress and had expressed her pleasure upon seeing it. She had this idea that it’d be puce coloured, “You almost ready bride to be?” Jordan asked as she held open the door and Jasmine walked in carrying Vanessa’s veil. It wasn’t an obnoxiously long, but it was enough for Vanessa’s liking. She looked at herself in the mirror; at her long black hair which was down and in waves like usual and at her deep brown eyes that seemed to sparkle with excitement at the moment. She couldn’t think of a time when she was happier. That was a good thing. She squeaked as Jasmine stood on a stool to help her with her veil. Her stomach was too much in knots for her to be able to make any coherent sentences, though, so she didn’t try to talk to her friends.
Once everything was set and Vanessa’s bouquet was in her trembling grasp, she turned to look at her best friend; fear written across her face now. She wasn’t having doubts, that was a silly thought – no she was just…what if he was having doubts? Vanessa took a deep breath and centred herself, letting her bright smile spread across her face again. There was no way Jeremiah was having doubts, she told herself as the doors opened to reveal her father standing there with a proud smile on his face; “Hey, Daddy.” She said weakly, her voice trembling. “You okay, Vanessa?” he asked, as if he were waiting for her to explode. She smiled and nodded as she looked down at her feet, “Just nervous.” She took a deep breath and looked back up at her father before turning to look at Jordan, nodding when she told her it was time. Jordan stepped out and disappeared down the hallway. Jasmine and Vanessa locked eyes and then Jasmine smiled at her comfortingly and stepped out into the hallway too, disappearing after Jordan. Vanessa closed her eyes and took another deep breath, trying to calm her nerves. The flowers were shaking in her hands and losing their beautiful arrangement. She heard the wedding march begin and she felt her eyes widen as she turned to look at her father; “Come on, honey.” He kissed her forehead and looped his arm through hers as he led the way to the entrance to the chapel.
They reached the closed doors and Vanessa took the extra 60 seconds to take another deep breath and let her smile relax her again. Her father patted her hand comfortingly, and Vanessa stopped shaking slightly. The doors opened, but they seemed to open slowly, and Vanessa’s eyes landed upon Jeremiah. The moment they did, all nerves just…left her. This was right. This was what she was meant to do. She couldn’t see life without him in it and she wouldn’t have to ever again. The smile that was on her face was the same one she always had when she was with Jeremiah, and before she knew it…she was beside him and her father was giving her away. The walk down the aisle had completely flown past her because she had seen Jeremiah. Handing her bouquet to Jasmine with a smile, she turned to Jeremiah; ready for the rest of her life to begin.

Weddings, just one simple word made Jasmine feel even more excited about life. She loved weddings, especially this one since it was her best friends. Jasmine wouldn’t have believed in Vanessa getting married before she met Jeremiah. It wasn’t that she thought her friend wouldn’t get married, but at a later age. Eighteen wasn’t the exact date that people got married, and Nessa had talked about going to music school for a couple of years. She still could, but it would be hard to stay away from her husband. Smiling at her thoughts, Jasmine slipped her head through the front of the dress, pulling it down so it fit snuggled against her body. Smoothing out the light fabric, she stopped in mid wrinkle noticing the extra fabric hanging off from her chest area. Pulling the end of the dress down further, she tried to fix the problem, but there still was that little extra space. Groaning, Jasmine quickly headed out of the spare bedroom, down the hall toward Brantley’s room. Pushing the door open without even knocking, she closed it silently behind her. Brantley was still in the middle of getting dressed, looking at her with a curious raise of his eyebrow. “What’s wrong?” he asked, pulling his arms through the white button up shirt that was neatly pressed. Jasmine just sighed, shaking her head, as she took a couple steps toward him, helping button up the buttons. “Nothing…I just had this dress altered three times…it should fit!” "I think it looks great...stunning even,” she heard him reply, with that charming smile he always put on when he was giving her compliments. Fastening the last button of the shirt, Jasmine took a step back, “Really? You haven’t notice the extra fabric hanging loosely here?” Jasmine gently tugged on the fabric, frowning as she looked back up at her boyfriend. “I don’t have the right…um….bosoms for this kind of dress.” Hearing Brantley lightly chuckle, Jasmine watched as he grabbed the tie from the bed. "Jasmine, I think you have the perfect "um....bosoms...” for the dress." Containing her own laughter from the word, she just smiled at his comment, grabbing the tie from his hands. Tying it perfectly for him, Jasmine smoothed out his shirt, her hands lingering on his stomach. “Ok…the wedding starts exactly at three...the caterer will be dropping the food off around two…” Jasmine listed, stopping as Brantley laughed again at her. Laughing along, she leaned in to kiss him shortly on the lips. “You have the ring right?” Glancing down as Brantley pulled the velvet case out of his pocket, Jasmine grinned as he kissed her again. “Alright I got to go check on everything, then help Nessa.” Nodding she tugged playfully on his tie before turning around to head out of the room. It didn’t take long for Jasmine to be rushing down the church corridor, carrying Vanessa’s veil. Everything was already set and go for the reception, but she didn’t know about the actually ceremony. Jordan was supposed to check on everything for that part of the wedding. Entering the small room, Jasmine grinned at Vanessa as she stood in the middle of the room in her white gown. It was just simply Nessa; the beads, the simple, but elegant gown. “Nessa you look gorgeous!” she squealed, laughing as her friend squeaked when she put the veil over her hand. Fixing the lace so it fit perfectly, she stepped back as Mr. Bauer took his daughters arm once they were outside the door to the main hall. The flower girls were being ushered inside, their pink little dresses flowing behind them. Jordan was the first enter the church and before Jasmine went in, she gave her best friend a hug before walking down the isle. The music soon started and Nessa finally made her way toward Jeremiah, handing the bouquet of flowers toward Jasmine. Jasmine smiled as she grinned at her best friend, before turning her attention toward the priest who began the vows. ((OOC- G-mode from Brantley was allowed from writer.)) ((I only modified one letter. You had Mr. Baer, instead of Mr. Bauer for Vanessa's dad. ))

It was like a glimpse of Heaven. Though Jeremiah hated cliches, he would have undoubtedly called Vanessa his angel. She was gorgeous as she made her way down the aisle toward the front of the small church building. The few members of the crowd were all smiling as she passed, but none of their smiles could rival Jeremiah's. Had he not been so awestruck by love, the muscles in his face surely were so tense from smiling that they'd have caused him pain. There was no pain though; only a deep sense of completeness emanated throughout Jeremiah.
The priest welcomed the family and friends and soon began the ceremony. It wasn't that the vows lost their meaning, but Jeremiah was so caught up in his own thoughts of Vanessa, and love, and spending his life with her and before he realized it, the time had already come for him to give Vanessa the ring. He turned to Brantley and took the delicate band. Gently, he placed the ring on Vanessa's left hand, reciting the vows as he did so. She did the same, and then the priest concluded the ceremony.
Hearing the two of them being announced as Mr. and Mrs. Jeremiah Baer gave Jeremiah a sense of peace. He felt as though everything in life was finally right. After thinking for so long that life was never going to be good again, Jeremiah was finally able to tell himself that it wasn't the case. The music again began to play, and Jeremiah led Vanessa by the arm as they walked together to the back of the church. Once outside, he looked at his bride and gave her another kiss. "I'm so... so happy," he said shortly, not sure how to express his feelings in words. He hoped Vanessa could tell how he felt though, just from seeing his face and possibly feeling the same way herself. He held her hand tightly in his as he waited for the guests to come and mingle with the newlyweds.
