Ezzie loaded her clothes and belongings in her trunk once more with a large smile on her face. She hadn't been this happy for a long time, and the feeling was amazing. She stuffed everything in, and for once it was hard to get everything to fit inside. Her things normally only filled up half her trunk. After Mrs. Jacobs' shopping spree however, Ezzie could barely get everything to fit. It was only the middle of August, and school didn't start for another few weeks. But, Ezzie was going over to Capri, Italy very soon to start writing songs for her very first album. They might even start recording. Ezzie was probably going to stay until the last day of August, so she needed her school books packed and ready to go. She smiled again as she closed the lid on her trunk and hauled it out of the room. She pulled the heavy object all through the halls and let out a sigh of relief when she noticed Mrs. Jacobs' and Ethan's trunk parked right next to the fireplace in the family room. Standing next to the fireplace was no other than Ethan Jacobs, her boyfriend.
"So, are you ready to go, miss rock star?" He asked with a teasing smile.
"I finally got all my things stuffed into my trunk, if that's what you mean." She smiled and gave him a kiss on the cheek, or at least she tried to. Ethan ended up turning his face, so Ezzie accidental kissed his left ear.
"Smooth."She said jokingly.
"Yea, I meant for you to get my lips, but I ended up turning my head the wrong way.
"Well that's what you get, Mr!"She said, pretending to reprimand him. Suddenly, an owl came fluttering through the door. It was obviously Amanda's, Ethan's mother's. Ezzie distinctly remembered Amanda's owl being a bright orange, kind of like an orange cat. The owl gracefully dropped the letter from it's beak and onto the floor in front of Ezzie and Ethan. The owl then fluttered away through the same window it came through. Ethan picked up the letter and read it aloud.
Ezzie and Ethan,
got caught up at work, meet me in the "Megaron Suite at the Capri Palace Hotel and Spa. Ezzie's new agent Alyssa will be waiting for you guys outside the fireplace. Use floo, BE SPECIFIC!
Ezzie shrugged and hauled her trunk into the fireplace. Ethan did the same and went inside the fireplace with the baggage. He gripped the bags tight and said,
"The Megaron Suite at Capri Palace Hotel and Spa."He threw the green powder onto the floor. He gave her a wink, and a second later, he vanished into green flames. Ezzie took a deep breath, for she never did like traveling by Floo, but figured she may as well get used to it. She stepped into the fireplace too, and said exactly what Ethan said. She suddenly felt very warm and lightheaded, and noticed many other fireplaces along the way. Finally, she arrived in the suite with a gasp. It was huge. It looked exactly like the Penthouse suite back at the hotel she used to work in. Ezzie remembered the Penthouse suite to hold some of the cruelest and most snobby people in all of the hotel. And now she was staying in one. A woman smiled.
"I guess you're not used to places this nice, huh?" Ezzie shook her head as Ethan came seemingly out of nowhere to put his arm around her. It surprised her at first, but once she realized it was Ethan, she relaxed herself. The woman smiled warmly at the sight of Ethan comforting her. Now that Ezzie was over her shock, she had a chance to look at the woman standing in front of her. She couldn't have been older than thirty. She was short, and had fire red hair that flowed nicely down to her shoulders.
"I'm Alyssa by the way, your new agent and publicist. Our first order of business is breakfast. I already ate, and I've got stuff to do, so I'll stay upstairs. Your private elevator is down the hall. That will take you down to the diner. She threw a pair of bracelets at them and was off to a small room that was labeled in a nice script font: Office.
"Let's go, I'm starved!" Ethan walked over to their private elevator , his arm still lovingly around Ezzie. Ezzie smiled. This was going to be the best holiday ever. The elevator doors opened to a small hallway that had a large sign on the right side of the hall. "Note: This hallway is for members of the Megaron Suite ONLY!Trespassers will be punished! Ezzie laughed. They even had their own hallway. Ethan and Ezzie were so busy staring at the sign, (which was probably on the other side of the door at the other end of the hall.) that they didn't notice two girls crash right into them. Both looked very familiar.

Miss Isabelle Leynette was lying on her bed flipping through a muggle magazine. Stopping occasionally so she could observe an outfit. There was music playing in the hotel suite and she was humming softly along to with it. Her brunette hair was down in sexy waves, because if she had to have dinner on a boat she was going to look great so all of Italy could gaze upon her. She knew she was coming off conceited, but couldn’t help it. Not today. Today was her day. It was her birthday. She sighed contently. What an amazing present this was. She was staying in Italy for a few days at the Athena suite at the Capri Palace Hotel and Spa. She was nearly crushed when she found out their normal suite was booked, but was happy she was finally on vacation. She didn’t know how much more she could take from her mother. Her grandparents had gotten a suite for her and a friend, so she chose Blake of course and they got the other suite for themselves right next door. Being there with a chaperone with the privacy, that’s what her grandmother said anyways. How much of that was actually true Belle wasn’t sure. She didn’t mind though, she loved seeing her grandparents and being there with her best friend. They spent the first couple of days in Venice enjoying the sights and the fun, and then made it down to Capri for some relaxation. That was Belle was supposed to be doing, relaxing. She glanced up from her magazine and giggled at Blake. She had no idea what she was doing. But she looked hilarious. “Blake, stop it.” She said in between her laughter. “Please.” She tried but by now she was holding her stomach rolling around on the bed. Pages of the magazine where getting crumpled and ripped. She didn’t care. She managed to grab a pillow and throw it at her friend, but missed. She had such terrible aim. By now she knew she had declared war. She was running trying to get away from Blake who had her own pillow. Blake didn’t have bad aim. Blake would hit her target if her target would stop moving. Belle had to keep moving. She dodged a pillow as she ran into the hallway. There was a maid trying to put things in her little cart.
She was screaming at them in rapid Italian that they didn’t understand. Because they didn’t bother to learn a new language for only one week of vacation. They ran past her as she was kept screaming. “No, non va quella maniera. Ha chiuso. lo ferma.” She raced after them for a short while but they where to quick, she stopped, they kept running. Blake was still after Belle and Belle wasn’t going to lose. She never did. They’re laughter could be heard all over the hotel. The occasional guest would step out of their room and give the girls a dirty look. This didn’t stop them. Nothing did. They ran through the main lobby and got a stern look from Mr.Lovtre, but they smiled and waved and continued around to the other side of the exquisite hotel. They hadn’t been there so far on their vacation and this was new territory for them.
Belle hid behind a pillar trying to catch her breath as Blake came around the corner. She jumped on her and they both toppled to the floor in fits of laughter. “Damn it Blanket.” Belle said using her nickname for her friend. “Now where lost.” She scolded in a mock voice. One would have the weird suspicion she was impersonating Mr.Lovtre. They grumpy Italian man who ran this hotel. “Blah. Now what?” She asked, but as she looked up she saw something she didn’t expect. She saw two students from Hogwarts. She smiled real wide and closed her eyes and shook her head in disbelief.

Ezzie was so surprised to see these two girls standing there. She was sure they didn't live in Italy, Hogwarts didn't allow transfers. It was so weird to see someone you knew when you were out of the country. But they were here, smiling and shaking their heads in disbelief, just as Ezzie had. She then wondered what in god's name had led them into the hallway of the megaron suite, but didn't ponder on the thought too much, she didn't want to get the two students in trouble. She wondered if they knew about her yet. There were rumors about Ethan dating her in the tabloids. She remembered staring blankly at one of London's magazines, shocked at how they could have possibly gotten a picture of them together. Ezzie had her back turned, but half of her face was showing in the picture, as they were kissing in the park at the time. It was so embarrassing to know that so many people had shared such a private moment with her boyfriend. Tabloids were now going crazy to try to find who this "mystery girl" was. She had made the cover of the leading gossip magazine twice, and was in the actual magazine every day. She was cursed to being followed around for the rest of her life. She didn't get it. Why did the public care who Ethan was dating? Ezzie shook her head to awaken her out of her thoughts and back into the conversation with the two Hogwarts students.
"Oh my gosh, you guys go to Hogwarts, don't you? Who knew we'd be staying at the same hotel at the same time. This is crazy! How did you guys end up here, anyway?" She asked, raising her eyebrow. She laughed.
"Ah, no worries. I'm Ezzie by the way. This goof over here is Ethan, my boyfriend. We're both Gryffindors, only he's going into fifth year, and I'm going into fourth. I think I've met one of you before, I just can't really place where." Ethan stepped up from behind her.
"I think I've met you before." He said, talking to the girl nearest him. "You're Blake, right? We met in Hogsmeade that one time. It was just after term ended." He smiled and placed his arm around Ezzie. She smiled. She loved having Ethan here, especially when she was making such a huge transition into fame, when she had spent so long struggling to make ends meet. It was crazy how quickly things happened with the Jacobs. She hated to admit it, since it wasn't the fairest concept in the world, but if you know the right people, you get what you want. Without the Jacobs in her life, she would have spent years singing on street corners for spare change, until finally some guy in a limo notices her and offers her a deal. Come to think of it, Ezzie wouldn't have even made it that long. Without Ethan, his family, and Harmony Chan, Ezzie would be dead, in the back of that crazy guy's white car. She shuddered at the thought of it.
"So anyway, we were about to head down to the buffet for breakfast, you guys want to come with? I'm starving!" It was true, it was already about eleven thirty in the afternoon, and Ezzie hadn't eaten anything all day. She was quite used to eating only one meal a day, but with the treatment she had been given at the Jacobs residence, she had completely lost the habit. Not that she had a choice back at the shelter. She had to work all day, taking no lunch breaks in between. It was literally making her sick. She would come back to the shelter and eat her brains out, only to be in serious pain later. She was over those times now. Now, she had three full, well balanced meals a day, accompanied by an after dinner half hour workout to keep her in shape. She had a nutritionist, a personal trainer, and even her own hair and make-up stylist. It was a very far stretch from the life she lived now. After all, she was only staying in the biggest and greatest suite in all of the most expensive hotel in Capri. Ezzie was so buried in her thoughts, she barely heard Ethan speak.
"So, are you guys coming, or not?" He said to the girls.

Blake smiled as she saw Belle concentrating in their hotel room. Nice as it was it wasn’t big enough for her tastes and she was wishing that the room could have been a teeny bit larger. Smiling though in spite of this she thought of a commercial she had seen one day while watching muggle TV at one of her friends houses who had muggle parents. Smiling Blake felt an entertaining show should be put on. She stood up and went to stand in the middle of the room and began clapping her hands. “Berries and cream, berries and cream. I’m a little lad who loves berries and cream!” she cocked her head into an odd position before smiling and repeating herself, but this time she threw in a couple of dance like jumps into the performance. She bowed and then grabbing a pillow whopped Belle upside the head with it. The fight got a bit out of hand and soon they found themselves in a nice looking hall, not even seeing the sign about trespassing. Stopping in her steps Blake almost jumped out of her skin when she saw Ethan and some girl walk toward them a bit. Shocking herself slightly she smiled. “Hey Ethan, um..” she was going to say hi to the girl but she didn’t know her name and now she felt slightly rude.
“Well Belle and her family always go out of the country for holiday, this year I went a long and we decided on Italy, yourself?” Blake asked her, making conversation even though she wasn’t sure yet if she liked the girl or not. She seemed slightly rude, but nice at the same time, it was weird. Blake nodded as Ethan mentioned remembering her from Hogsmeade and then glanced at Belle wondering what she wanted to do. Eat with them, or go tour now. Blake was hungry, but eating with them wasn’t completely thrilling, but this was where her more polite side her mother had forced into her not to long ago. As the two invited them along to eat Blake snuck a glance at Belle. Did she want to. “Well I am pretty darn starving.” She stated, smiling and expecting Belle to be just as polite she waited for her to speak.

Ezzie smiled at the two girls. They were both a year younger than her, but could have both easily passed for fifteen year olds. She knew Blake a bit more than she knew the other girl, for they had met once before in Diagon Alley or Hogsmeade. Ezzie couldn't really remember which one. They looked so happy, had been having so much fun just recently. Ezzie couldn't remember the last time she had so much fun like these girls. With all that was going on in her life, Ezzie had barely any time to be a normal teenager. Ezzie was used to this though. She was never a normal teenager. For the past three years or so, Ezzie had been forced to live a very controlled life. Sometimes, Ezzie forgot what her actual age was. She often acted like she was a thirty year old woman fighting to keep herself alive. Ezzie was only fourteen, almost fifteen. Her birthday was on September eighth, and Ezzie couldn't wait. This birthday would be a lot better than the fourteen others she had before. In past years, she probably indulged in a few good desserts and brought them upstairs with her to study. She never really made a big deal about her birthday. Sometimes she even forgot about it completely. She knew that once she was eighteen, the shelter would kick her out. That was the rule. She could stay at the shelter as long as she was underage. With that fact in mind, Ezzie didn't like the idea of turning older. Now she was actually looking forward to it. She noticed Ethan put his arm around her shoulder. She loved when he did that. It made her feel so protected. She tried hard to pay attention to Blake's explanation for her being there in Capri, but found it a bit hard. Ethan was a big distraction.
Well, we're over here for pretty special reasons." She said with a smile, trying to ignore the fact that Ethan was tickling her neck. She giggled a bit. "Stop it Ethan, I'm trying to talk!" She said playfully. He put his hands up in mock surrender and smiled. He held her hand."anyway," she said. "I'm here to start work on my new song. It's going to be performed at some big time premiere here in Capri. This is where everything is going to happen basically." Ethan smiled, and so did Ezzie. "He's just here to tag along. He could have stayed home, but hey! I'm not complaining." She laughed a bit as Ethan's finger started to creep up her back and onto her neck again. He never quit. "Ethan!" She said between giggles. Ethan finally stopped, letting his hands rest in hers again. Ezzie smiled as the girls said they could join them for breakfast. "Oh that's great! I'm starved. I've got a big day ahead of me today. We're going to start writing my first song." She smiled as she walked with Ethan out of the private corridor. He was tickling her again. Ezzie couldn't lie to herself. She loved it. She loved everything about Ethan Jacobs. She loved being here with him, and Ezzie could honestly say she loved him.
(eh, I know it's short. It's not my best work, but I needed to get a reply in to you guys sometime this decade.)

Belle was breathing heavily. Her heart was beating loud and she felt the heat around her. It was swallowing her. Just like the whale swallowed Jonah. She looked over at her friend. She didn’t seem to be having a problem with talking. She recognized the boy right away. Blake said the guy was Ethan. That name sounded so familiar. Oh yeah, he was the host from the party that started as soon as she had gotten home. The one with the drunken muggles. How could she forget? It was perhaps one of the stories she could tell her grandchildren. Not that she could remember so much of the party as it was. She was trying very hard to forget. Not entirely sure why. It all felt surreal. What where the chances. She would have to ask Blake, she wasn’t exactly the math genius. “Hello.” She said politely finally getting her breath back. Before Belle had a chance to tell Blake that they where supposed to meet her grandparents downstairs for breakfast so they could go over the plans for the rest of the day, Blake said she would like to eat breakfast with the girl. Belle was mortified, not that she let it show. How was she going to get out of this politely? It didn’t seem like an easy feat. She didn’t want to come of as rude, and they couldn’t exactly go. Her grandparents had this planned. Belle almost never saw them; she was going to pass up a chance. “Oh, well ….” Belle trailed off this wasn’t going to be easy. “I wish I could saw I’d love to, but alas I can’t.” She told them. Her eyes where showing great remorse. “I … ah … have this thing with my grandparents this morning.” She told them feeling like the biggest prat in the world. “Uh, if Blake wants to go with you guys I’ll have to meet up with her later, I have to make this brunch.” She told them looking at her friend now. “Well ….” She prompted her friend.

As Belle declined the offer a rush hit her. Crap! she thought to herself. Late last night she had vaguely remembered Belle telling her of a brunch with the grandparents so that they could discuss the days events and it had completely slipped her mind, of course it had been around midnight when Belle had told her this. Silently panicking she had no idea what to do. The whole point in coming to Capri was to have an amazing time with Belle with wonderful Italian boys, making fun of the old grandparents as they were amazed at the new generations accomplihments. The game plan was to have a great time as bestie's and not gallavant off with different people and so Blake ended up deciding she would have to find some way to politely take back her answer. She was not going to leave Belle alone in Capri with her grandparents for fear of getting lost with a girl and boy she barely knew.
"I totally spaced there Belle. Sorry guys. I am gonna have to go with her for this one. A plan already discussed last night that slipped my mind, seeing as it was discussed pretty darn late!" Blake said, eyeing Belle with a mock annoyed look she knew her friend would look through to see the sarcastic humor in her friends voice, something they frequently exchanged with eachother even in serious matters. Smiling as she decided she hadn't been rude at all saying this minor matter she pressed her mind on a bit to think of something to get her completely off the hook that she could add to what she had just said that way they wouldn't hold a grudge or anything like that.
"I am really really sorry! How about we get a rain check on this and have lunch together or something in Hogsmeade back at Hogwarts?" Blake asked, guessing that this most likely wouldn't happen, because knowing the way her brain would work she would most likely forget all of this by the time that Blake and Belle were seated and pigging out on Italian food down stairs some with Belle's grandparents. "Well forgiving that mishap...It was great seeing you guys again!" Blake said, emphasizing the great a bit to sound polite enough to use this as a time for Belle and herself to head on down the reserved table with Blake's and Belle's names on the seats.
