Ethan walked along with Ezzie past Filch who checked their permission slips. It was time for their first Hogsmeade visit of the year, and Ezzie was excited to see Hogsmeade for the first time. Since she had been homeless for her third year, she didn't have anyone to sign the permission slip for her. Ethan wanted to share the experience with her so they were going on a date to Hogsmeade today. He gave them a dirty look and Ethan smiled. “It’s nice to see you too Filch. Did you and Mrs. Norris have a lovely holiday here at the castle all summer?” Ethan laughed and before Filch could report them to Snape or something they ran off to Hogsmeade. Both Ezzie and Ethan were excellent runners. They were both just built that way. Ethan’s practices at Quidditch couldn’t hurt either. He seemed to always be running. Finally they came to a stop and Filch was nowhere in sight. Ezzie laughed. How Ethan loved Ezzie’s laugh. He loved everything about her. Her smile, her laugh, her voice, and even the way she walked. She had so much confidence in her walk. These were strange things to notice about one’s girlfriend, but Ethan tended to be strange sometimes. “So, how about we go get a drink after that wonderful run of ours?” The Three Broomsticks was just behind them, and Ethan loved butterbeer. “I think that would be great.” She said with a smile. And so they walked, Ethan’s arm around Ezzie. He never wanted to let go. He never wanted to lose her again. Ethan could tell Ezzie felt a bit self conscious with everyone around them staring, but Ethan was so used to this, he just took the large crowd of whispering people to be part of a normal environment. Ethan had been in the spotlight ever since he was born. He was used to it. He was used to people staring and not even having to introduce himself for people to know his name. It was common. Ezzie had been famous only one month, it was common for her to feel self-conscious. “Don’t worry about it Ez. They’re just part of the scene. Ignore them. C’mon, I’m going to buy you a drink.” She smiled and looked away from the staring eyes. “That’s the spirit. C’mon, before all the seats are taken and we have to sit on opposite sides of the room. Today, I want to be as close to you as possible.” He leaned in to kiss her and she kissed him back. They weren’t watching where they were going and bumped into the closed door of the Three Broomsticks. They laughed and walked inside.
The place was rather crowded today, as it was packed with many Hogwarts students. The room had been very noisy before, but grew silent when Ezzie and Ethan entered. Ezzie looked quite uncomfortable and gave a third year girl an awkward smile. Ethan just ignored them and held Ezzie tighter. Suddenly, the silence turned into wild whispering. Oh my god, that’s Ezzie and Ethan! Can you believe they’re here? God Ethan is so gorgeous, I am so jealous of her. Ethan smiled at Ezzie, who still looked very uncomfortable. Gosh, Ezzie is soo lucky! She’s got talent, fame, an amazing boyfriend-I would kill to be her. Ezzie shifted in her seat. A waitress came to the table and gasped. “Oh my gosh! You’re Ezzie and Ethan! You guys are so cool! Can I have your autograph?” The young blond waitress asked excitedly. “Sure, but can we have two butterbeers?” Ethan said, as he signed her notepad. “No problem guys, it will be out in a minute.” The girl wasn’t kidding. Less than a minute later, the girl was back with two butterbeers, both perfectly made. Ethan paid for the drink and added a large tip. “C’mon, let’s go somewhere more private.” Ezzie smiled mischievously and Ethan could tell she was dying to get out of the crowded pub. They walked out, and found their way over to the shrieking shack. Ethan conjured up two comfortable seats and they drank their butterbeers in peace. Truthfully though, they did more kissing than drinking. Suddenly, Ezzie gasped. They had both forgotten the other reason Ezzie had to go to Hogsmeade, she had a meeting with her manager Alyssa today in the Hogs Head. “Ethan, I am so sorry! Meet me in the common room; we’ll work out a time to meet again.” She gave him a kiss and lingered for a moment before she ran off towards the pub. Ethan just sat there and drank his butterbeer, not knowing what to do with himself. He really didn’t have the strength or will power to get up and do something. He took another sip as he heard a noise. Someone was coming.
