At then end of a long day, the evening was finally coming to an end. Night fall was creeping in and the castle's life was starting to find a place of comfort, in any corner or nook they could fit. Dorm room doors slammed shut with tired eyes shuffling off to bed behind them. Some people had the matter of sleep quite far from their minds. These people relaxed in the general common room of their house, conversing with fellow students who didn't had a percentage of "tiredness" in their bodies. The day was lame, for the fact it was full of Spring showers, although it was Summer time. The students of Hogwarts were excited to spend more time outside as the early summer months rolled by. But from the dreadful season's they've been having, rain was quite a factor. Never the less, some students found enjoyment in the storms. Some liked to watch, as well as some like to venture off onto the lawns and fool around. Sydney was normally a student of that sort. She loved to have fun wherever she could. Normally she was one to jump for anything entertaining, but today she forced herself to restrain.
In the next week or two the school was planned to take their tests. Some OWLS, Some NEWTS, and Sydney was quite nervous. Syd was always a good student, but as good as a normal witch could be. Not gifted with a photographic memory, she actually had to study everything she did the entire year in the last few weeks before the tests. She stuck herself at a table pushed up against the windows in the student lounge. Only getting up to go to the restroom a few times, Syd buried her noise in her notes. Scattered rolls of parchment were all over the table in disarray, As Syd laid her head in her hands. Drawing her finger tips down her cheeks, she looked at the massive clock on the apposing wall. The large hand was nearing the 12, as the smaller hand was set on the 10. Sighing, she realized she was seated in the student lounge for about 11 hours, she felt it was time to clean up. Gathering her scattered parchments she rolled them up neatly and set them in her bag. After about ten minutes of clean up. Sydney stood up.
"Whoooooa..." she moaned lightly as her bag weighed down her left shoulder as she leaned against the wall beside her. Ditching the bag to the floor, Syd made her way to a plush golden chair closer to the fire. Allowing herself to fall into the seat, she layed her head back trying to get comfortable. Voices murmured through the room with joy and disappointment of games of Wizard's Chess, or gossip by young girls. Smiling to herself, she opened up her eyes and gazed in the fire and tried to take the calmness of the room in.

It’s allright to check her works, books and some notes. The sun had disappeared and night’s dark had falled down to the clouds. The Student Lounge was like listening to the silence of night. There were some students from another houses too. Jennifer rolled her eyes slowly into the lounge. She waited for a minute and watched around. It was a silence and peaceful day for her. She walked with her arms’ books. Slowly… Becuse she was thinking of lessons unhappily. To work, to read… Oh, may be she was not making it carry a meaning. But she always listen to her conscience. She said “Ouf!” repeatedly. And approached towards the table. She had sitted down near a place that a Gryffindor girl’s sitting. At first, Jenny did not notice the girl.
Jennifer had exactly concentrated to her book. As girl the next stood up, she moved her head up and looked at the girl. “Whoooooa..." the girl had said. Jennifer watched her for a few minutes. She giggled to herself. But, she didn’t understand her way, didn’t care about it and returned to read her book. Now, she was not concentrating her lesson, book etc. She moved up her head again and began to breathe for a few minutes. And then she closed down herself to the book. But, could not reading. She rolled her eyes to the girl, began to watch her. "Hey!" she said to the girl.
"Eee.." she stopped suddenly. She breathed again. "Are you busy? Eee- I had not notice you, but I'm seeing. Never mind!" she turned to her book again. At that moment she was not watching the girl. Minutes… After minutes, she stood up and began to hit the ground her feet. “I’m sorry.” She said to the girl. “There are my problems with my shoes.” She added and sitted down. As she sitted down, she said to herself slowly. “Oh! Jack!” She returned to the girl again and smiled.

People filed in and out of the room within the next few minutes. For all Sydney knew there was a circus that ran through the room, but she didn't pay attention to anyone else at all, all day. With her head in her parchment scrolls, she was alone. But after she gave up on studying, the whole world came back to her. Relaxed in the chair, she recognized faces passing her, laughter across the room. The world was back in plane sight. Sitting up in her chair, she turned to a girl who was brought to her attention. A younger Gryffindor that she had seen around the Common Room a few time previous. She kept mumbling and looking around, which Sydney found quite amusing.
Moments after the girl grabber her attention, she actually spoke to Sydney. She asked if Syd was busy. Grinning she shook her head to the girl. But the girl just said "never mind!" and went back to her book. Quite confused, Syd opened her mouth like she was going to ask, what was wrong because she wasn't busy, When the girl stood up and slammed her feet on the ground. "Excuse me?" Sydney question the girl calmly. "Are you okay?" Sydney asked again as she watched the girl inattentively.
She spoke about her shoes, something was wrong with her shoes- she exclaimed. Nodding Sydney could tell, there was something wrong with her shoes, but she was quite confused. Quickly shouting out "Oh Jack!" Sydney took a guess. "Did someone put a spell on your shoes?" She asked as Syd watched the girl's feet. She was quite confused on her actions, as well as the quite uncomfortable conversation suited between the two.

Worried?... Yes, she was worried. But she coudn’t know why! Even Jenny thought by herself, but there were any reason in her head. She continued to hit the ground her shoes. Continued… Continued… After a few minutes, she looked at the girl. "Are you okay?" The girl asked her calmly. Jennifer smiled reluctantly and she thought; ‘Yes, I’m a crazy girl.’ But she did not say it to the girl. Just continued looking at her. A few times later she had asked; “Did someone put a spell on your shoes?” Then Jenny opened her mouth; “My shoes… Jack… ” she stopped again. Why was she telling this? “Oh! No wonder!” she dogmatized. After that, Jennifer inclined and adjusted her shoes for her feet. Lifted up her head again and sinked into her book. But she had noticed that the girl was watching her. She reverted her eyes to the girl. “Eee-Thought, I’m Jennifer, Jennifer Dalton. In third year. You? ” She continued to watched her.
((I know it’s short, sorry!))

The girl was responded kindly. She seemed as flustered as Sydney was. Quite confused about it all. But once Sydney asked if there was a spell or a charm on her shoes, the girl smiled. There was no spell of any sort. They were just merely ajusted bigger than her own feel. Smiling as the girl readjusted her shoes, Syd leaned back into her chair and smiled. Thinking in her mind, "I was so confused... but oh well. All is well again and I can get comfortable before bed. But I just can't get up right now. This chair is too comfortable." giggling at her own dilemma in her mind, she opened her eyes and started fidgeting with her cloak. It was her school cloak still, as the clock gained minutes toward midnight, which was Sydney's personal bedtime these days.
A few guys from the back of the room cleaned up their game of wizard's chess and said their good byes. One 5th year Hufflepuff, and one 6th year Ravenclaw left the room. The Ravenclaw nodded toward Syd. He was a friend of hers from class. Nodding back, Sydney watched the two leave. As the door behind then closed shut, Syd began to humm to herself in boredum.... Looking back around the room her eyes landed on the girl who caught her attention when she walked in with a shoe problem. The girl turned her head just as Syd looked at her. Speaking, Syd grinned a calming grin. "Oh yes, I knew I saw you before. I'm Sydney Rawson. A 6th year." Syd said with a smile. She picked herself up into her chair, folding her legs under her. she leaned over the arm of the chair to shake Jennifer's hand.
"So, what book are you reading, Jennifer?" she asked as she sat back onto her folded legs.

The room was cumming slowly. Jennifer took a breathe and gave it deeply. However Jennifer was listenning to the girl. Jenny felt to have a warm to their around when the girl came to her next. The girl’s name was Sydney. Jenny smiled at the girl that introduced herself. Furthermore the girl had asked a question her and began to be interested in. “Well..” said Jennifer pensively and continued to her words. “This is a “history of wizards”. Perhaps this is too boring for anyone, but not for me. I read this in my spare times. So I always remove my boredom with reading a book as this…” Then she looked at the girl and giggled. Continued. “…Syd.”
She pressed a long parchment to the area that stayed her in the book and shutted the book’s dome. Then she turned her body to Sydney. Somehow she was wanting to smiled at Syd when she saw her and she was doing it too. Perhaps Jenny saw this girl anywhere a short time ago. Thought. Where did she notice her? Jennifer never was interested in these thinks, things. Even thought, she can not think it at this time, midnight. Suddenly she rolled eyes to the ground and began to yawn. Waited for a moment and turned to Syd again. “What are you feelinmg or thinking now? Well.. Need a sleeping?” she smiled slowly. Perhaps she didn’t know why she asked this. Perhaps this was for a broaching. Or may be Jenny wanted to sleep and leave this place to a deep sleeping. Yes, she was tired a bit. But even thought, to stay with Syd in here was more entertaining.

The fire hit a piece of wood that wasn't burning before, which made the flames spark up. The warmth slowly filtered the room, which hit Syd and Jennifer, since they were the two sitting closest. The sky outside was dark, pitch black, the stars at the school were unforgettable. Since lights outside were nonexistent, other than some flames around the base of the school. Up on the higher floors, in the Student Lounge, you did not see any of the light from below. Just dark sky, and thousands of tiny stars filtering their way through. The grandfather clock in the room began to chime as the time hit midnight. About this time students should be in their dormitories, but the thought of leaving just yet did not fit in Sydney's mind. She was too comfortable in the chair she was seated in.
Jennifer soon answered Syd's question on the book. "History of Wizards, aye... Do you have a favorite one?" Syd inquired since she really wasn't one to read such a book. But maybe it was actually entertaining. To learn something about some powerful wizard who did such amazing things, that she never was taught in school. But History of Magic was quite a boring class in Hogwarts, and Syd was sure there were plenty of subject that flew in one ear and out the other. Maybe she missed some extremely talented wizard, maybe not.
Jeniffer inquired a question on, if Syd was tired. With a grin and a following yawn she answered. "Of course. I've been in this room for far too long studying. I didn't do too much activity today but sit at that table and study." Sydney shook her head. "I loathe studying. Never seemed to follow me well. I always needed to read over my notes to let the lesson set in. I guess that is why I'm not in Ravenclaw, aye." Syd laughed at herself. "How about you? What did you do today? Are you tired as well?"

She turned to the sky that it seemed out of Hogwarts. The stars were like covering up to sky. There was no cloud, just a dark sky that covered everywhere. It was time ‘midnight’. Jennifer was too tired. Because she spent her all day to work hard and hard. She did not pass with a ren tor walking outside. All of the day She was in Hogwarts and studing or reading.. She thought her the day, ‘May be I might be in Ravenclaw House.’ she thought. But she could not believe in this, she can not believe it. Because she knew her every way and they were taking her to one thing: stability and courage. She was thingin all the time the courage is not everytime an adventure. This was teaching ýt’s actually determination. She did not think any more. There were much things to think. And now she was just thinking to rest.
Syd was answering her question. Or her many questions… May be there were too subjects to talk and she could talk until the sky will open to a new day. But she was posessing to feel sleepy and of course the rules of Hogwarts, unfortunately.. Because even she knew it a trouble for her, everytime she loved to live an adventure.. As she asked Syd, she began to answer her. Jennifer smiled when Sydney was laughing. And after this a big yawn.. Jenny was laughing, both of the girls were feeling sleepy. At this moment Jennifer was sure. "Of course. I've been in this room for far too long studying. I didn't do too much activity today but sit at that table and study." Anyway of change did not happen on Jenny’s face. Jenny continued to listen to Syd. "I loathe studying. Never seemed to follow me well. I always needed to read over my notes to let the lesson set in. I guess that is why I'm not in Ravenclaw, aye." Jennifer began to smile.
While the minutes were going away or flying, Jenny was not care about it. She was just interested in these moments. "How about you? What did you do today? Are you tired as well?" Syd had asked this to herself. Jennifer breathed deeply. “I spent all my time to work hard. I don’t know actually its reason. But, there was nothing to do for me. May be you will shock, but I’m not bored when I studied. Anyway.. May be the days that I will be bored to study is not too far.. ” she smiled to herself. “But now I’m feeling so tired.” And she began to yawn again and giggle..
