Odette ran her fingers through her brown hair as she looked around her dormitory with disdain. She was bored. Then again, Odette was always easily bored. If she didn’t have Damien around to entertain her, she had to find something to entertain herself. Normally she could spend hours studying in the library about Voldemort or Grindelwald, but she had already done at least three hours of studying and well, honestly, Odette was tired of reading about how stupid Voldemort was in his reign. She had just started to really delve into Voldemort and his conquering of the wizarding world and already she had picked out at least fifty flaws. Imbecile. He should have known better. Perhaps then the wizarding world would be the way it’s supposed to be as opposed to how it actually is at the moment. The whole world has gone to the dogs, Odette scowled and turned around, grabbing her black velvet cloak, before she hurried, at a leisurely pace if possible, out of the dormitories and through the common room. Once she was free of the dreariness of the common room, Odette pulled her cloak on over her school uniform and crossed her arms over her chest as she started away from the dungeons. Where is he? That boy is impossible. He’s never around when I need him. Odette wasn’t even comprehending the fact that Damien might actually just be in class, but then again she never really thought about the reasons why Damien wasn’t around when he wasn’t with her - she only focused on her annoyance with the fact that he was missing.
Regardless, Odette wasn’t going to wait around for Damien to decide it was time to grace her with his presence, and so she made her way into the entrance hall and then out the double doors to the grounds. It was the epitome of an autumn day. The leaves were falling from the trees and littering the ground with bright hues of orange, red, and yellow; leaving off a crunching sound with every step Odette took in her black Mary Jane heels. The heel wasn’t too high, because Odette really hated heels and/or anything that was considered girly in her eyes; it was one of the reasons she detested wearing the school uniform…it was a skirt. When she was out of uniform, she was always wearing pants – whether they are jeans or dress pants with a nice shirt, she always looked her best. Odette sighed audibly as she headed toward the lake which had some mist rolling off it because of how warm the water was as opposed to how cold it was outside. She had no idea how she was going to spend her free hours now, but she knew that once Damien grew bored and realized that he needed Odette’s company he’d come and look for her at the lake. It was kind of like their meeting place. Whenever they planned, they met at the lake or in the library. The library was often too risky, though, because anyone could see what they were doing… everything they were doing must be kept secret. What better place to share secrets than by the lake where secrets were lost upon its still waters?
Odette reached and pulled her hood over her head, knowing that the moment she did it the Redeemer was going to show brilliantly against the black velvet. The symbol was something that Odette wore proudly, but no one really understood what it meant…no one besides Damien. The symbol was relatively new, but it was one of the first things Odette meant to do before she jumped into anything else. Perhaps it was getting ahead of herself, but Odette had high aspirations for this whole scheme…why shouldn’t she get ahead of herself? Odette stood at the bank of the lake, watching the mist roll off the water with still brown eyes. She wasn’t thinking about anything really, she was just watching the mist. She didn’t want any company unless it was from Damien, but it appeared that either someone was coming to talk to her (who in their right mind would do that?) or someone had gotten the same idea of just staring at the mist on the lake, because someone was approaching the general area. Odette didn’t move, she just continued to stare, hoping they wouldn’t make contact. She wasn’t in the mood to deal with imbeciles today.
