Eevie pulled the warm blankets over her head, trying to block out the cold that danced around her in her dorm room. The blankets stretched over her head, but uncovered her feet, exposing them to the cold that she had tried to run away from. Unfortunately, the cold on her feet actually woke her up – exactly what she had been trying to avoid. Eevie had tossed and turned nearly all night as she tried to fall asleep, and so when she had finally gotten to sleep she had planned to sleep nearly the whole morning away. She didn't have any morning classes that day and she knew that Jude would realise that she was just exhausted. If he got too worried, he'd find a way to get a hold of her, but she wasn't too worried about it. Now, she wouldn't have to worry about it anyway, because the cold had woke her up and there would be no chance to fall back asleep. Eevie sighed heavily and looked to her right, peeking through the blankets at her alarm clock – which had legs, arms, and was breathing; as odd as that might sound. It was her favourite alarm clock, but then again it was her only alarm clock. She waited, patiently, and then the minute hand struck the 12 and the alarm clock jumped to life. Literally. It made all of these obnoxious noises as it threw its arms up into the air and jumped around on its legs, hopping across the tabletop. She watched it still as it hopped to the edge and then hopped straight off it.
It lay on the wooden floor as Eevie peered over the edge of her bed, her blankets still over her head. Its arms and legs pulsated as it stretched out on the floor, still making those obnoxious noises. Eevie watched it for another moment or so before throwing her blankets back and letting her feet dangle over the floor, then reaching down to pick up the alarm clock and squeeze the centre of it. The noises stopped and the moving ceased and Eevie set it back down on her tabletop before she stood from her four-poster and lifted her arms above her head, stretching. She didn’t know what she was going to do for the next two hours, but she knew she wouldn't be able to get back to sleep so she had to get up. Eevie yawned and headed toward her trunk, pulling out a uniform and changing into it before pulling her red hair (because she had changed it to red the night before) into two pigtails held together by two white ribbons. She was well aware she looked like a Christmas tree, but she didn't care; and she was missing the green anyway. Eevie pulled her cloak on over her uniform and then grabbed her shoulder bag, heading down the dormitory steps and through the common room out into the corridor. She didn’t know where she was going to go, but she knew she was going to find Jude. It was where to start that was the problem.
Or perhaps it was the easiest thing. She started with the kitchens first, asking Scrunch if he had seen her darling Jude and getting a no, and then she had headed toward the great double doors that opened to the grounds, thinking perhaps he was out in the greenhouses. She was passing the courtyard just then, though, and out of the corner of her eye, she spotted Jude standing and looking at the fountain. Eevie paused in her tracks before turning and heading toward the courtyard, her footsteps light. She approached him from behind and slipped her arms around his waist, resting her head against his back as they stood. The wind was nipping at her, but she didn't feel it, she was already used to it anyway. Eevie smiled and nuzzled her face into his jacket and then stepped out from behind him, moving her arms to wrap around his neck, "Morning, honey." She greeted with a bright smile and a quick kiss on his lips.
