[Timothy Bancroft S3]

Timothy sat on the table with his Slytherin buddies eating his lunch and talking about how he ran into a Hufflepuff the other day and actually talked to him. Timothy knew that he was being a bit mean but for one that Hufflepuff had no right to bump into him and knock his books down and then start a conversation with him! Timothy was laughing and also trying to forget what his good buddy Jake said about pure bloods the other day..." reminds me of those pure bloods'..." That remark made Timothy so mad, so angry at him. Timothy could not see how Jake could say something like that when he has a friend that was a pure blood. Timothy began to think, was Jake really his friend at all? " You should have seen the face on that hufflepuff when she found out i was a Slytherin! I mean can you say Freeze or what! There was not a bone that moved!" Timothy laughed histericly with his buddies! Then he heard one of his buddies yell ' Hey look it's a Griffyndor! Look at him walking this way does he think he knows any of us?" Timothy laughed as he turned to see what one it was, and was shocked that it was Jake! Jake was walking over to Timothy at lunch, but why? Timothy wasn't mad at this point, he was scared for his friend because he knew that he was a Gryffindor, and his Slytherin buddies would tear him apart. It wasn't that he was forgiving him yet he just simply would not like to see him torn apart! " Naw, he's just walking by. Plus he isn't worth it lets go pick on some poor Ravenclaw! They are hilariously fun to pick on, can you imagine it?"Timothy tried to laugh and make it sound real, but he failed miserably. Timothy saw that Jake was moving close and fast, Timothy's heart racing faster and faster. Timothy simply didn't know what to do! Oh, Jake why now of all times to talk to me why now, please just go....." Timothy wanted so much to just yell out LEAVE! But knew he couldn't.

Timothy finally got an idea, Timothy would make up a game and then make it so his buddies would leave in time, for him to tell Jake to talk to him later when he isn't indanger with the other Slytherins'." so you guys I got a new game! you up for it?!" Timothy gave them a little of a smirk, and thankfully he heard what he wanted his buddies said yes repeatily. " alright everyone go and find a 1st year, of any house and do something so terrible they'll cry, record it and then come back and we'll tally up the points! The catch is to NOT get caught!" Timothy smiling afterwards, his buddies got up and raced to get the most points. By this point Timothy was laughing and waiting for Jake to come up to him.

Jake was walking down the great hall, heading for the griffindor table when he saw timothy over at his normal table with some friends. He thought to himself "might as well go see timothy, i just hope he isn't still mad at me" and started to travel along the table to him. along the way a few friends from griffindor yelled for him, and he raised his hand, signaling that he would be right back, and heard a voice rise from the slytherin table.

'alright everyone go and find a 1st year, of any house and do something so terrible they'll cry, record it and then come back and we'll tally up the points! The catch is to NOT get caught!'

When he heard it , and turned back to see Timothy say it, he was shocked. he knew timothy had his friends who were like that, but he never thought he would heard that from him. For a second Jake's face hardened, and he continued to walk closer to timothy, trying to keep his anger out of his face. When he finally got there though, he couldn't hold it saying "hey timothy, how are those first years you just sent your friend's after?"

Timothy turned to his friend asking him how the first years were doing, surely Jake would understand that he was trying to make it so Timothy wouldn't look bad talking to a Gryffindor with out hurting him. Timothy knew that Jake was his friend but, come on what kind of Slytherin talks to a Gryffindor or even is friends with one?? "Hey, Jake! Oh come on you really think that I would really do something like that? Plus it's just a game!" Timothy knew it was a game that he made up and yet he was thinking that he wanted to join the fun. Picking on 1st years was the most fun Timothy could have and he knew that if any of his friends came back that he would have to pretend to do something to Jake to make it seem as if he was joining the game all so.....seeing this might work but might not. Timothy knew that Jake was only a 3rd year and his friends would think he was cheating so he would have to make an excuse!" Lighten up man! Plus what was with what you said the other day I just don't get it! They ARE my friends, or did you forget that part?" Timothy over dueing his little speech felt a little bit of guilt run through his body.

Jake glared down at his friend saying "i don't care if it's a game, its not to those first years, just because your in slytherin doesn't mean you have to act like it! and telling them to do it is like you doing it yourself, those kids already have a bad enough time from the slytherins without you poking your head into it! and i don't care if your friends are pure bloods, they act like peacocks! they strut around the school like they own it! doing what ever they want and taking whatever they see, its disgusting!!! i already have to deal with a father like that, and i don't want to have to deal with it at school!"
Jake was starting to get angry now, his voice rising slightly.
"you shouldn't send your friends off every time i come around either, i can take care of myself when it comes to them, and its better than having them hurt more people. and anyways, you can't be ashamed of us being friends, because it just make you a liar when you won't tell them."
Jake then moved closer to his friend, looking him straight in the eyes, and then added "can't you tell that your friends who are being bullies are just scum? they treat other like their nothing, they aren't worthy of being your friend, i just wish you could see that." and then stood back up, taking a step away.

Timothy laughed at Jake and thought hmmmm must not know who i am or what i can do.... alright let's see you protect your self from this! Timothy stood up and stood toward Jake, took his wand out and made a slight movement with it pointing at Jake and said " Vermillious Attaqikus, Furnunculus!" Timothy casted a spell where boils would appear on his face and also a spell that created vermin to swarm him. Timothy laughed as this started to happen. Timothy felt a little bit bad about doing this to him but, who was Jake to think he of all people can tell a Slytherin off! Ovisouly Jake needed to be reminded who is the best in this school, and it wasn't the Gryffindor's! for sure. Timothy put his wand down by his side and told Jake" Now look, if you decide to threaten me again be sure of your self that you know what it is you are getting into and what to expect! Now go I am done with you for now.!" Timothy gave Jake, his friend, a horrible look telling him to cast a spell if he dared to but in the end Jake will be on the ground screaming for his life.

Jake quickly reached up to his face as the boils started to appear, and took a few steps back as the rats started to attack his feet.
As he kicked at the rats he reached into his holster, pulling out his wand. He quickly yelled "Florikus!"trying to knock him back and away.
He then yelled out "Petrificus Totalus!" and did the motion to cast the spell, pointing it directly at timothy, hoping to keep him still long enough for Jake to Finnish what he had to say.
Right after he finished casting the spells he said "You know what? you've changed, and you know, i think someone needs to tell you this, just because your 'pure blood' doesn't make you better.
In this case, just makes you look like an idiot" and he started to walk away from timothy, not caring if his spells had hit or not, stomping on rats all the way.

[Wynd Lehane]

Wynd was ready for lunch. He hated his fifth year he decided. The professors seemed to think it of a race, trying to decide who could give the most homework. Right now it was a tie between Professor McGonagall and Professor Snape. Professor McGonagall tried her hardest to make the students transfigure impossible objects followed by at least two feet of homework. Professor Snape had the students running around the school at unthinkable hours gathering ingredients to potions that no one has ever heard of. Today he had Transfigurations followed by Potions. In Transfiguration they were supposed to change a chair into a cat and then back again. For homework they had two and a half feet on why they could not do it. Then in Potions Wynd had neglected to collect spider eggs so he could not participate in the activity today. He had received a big fat zero for the day. For the homework, a three foot essay explaining the difference between clockwise motion and counter clockwise motion. As he entered the Great Hall Wynd's stomach growled. It had been a long morning and he needed food.

Entering the Great Hall he noticed several Slytherins dash from the Slytherin table and search the other tables. They reminded Wynd of vultures looking for their prey the way they circled the tables looking for the weakest first year. Wynd rolled his eyes. Some Slytherins could be so immature at times. Didn't they realise that blood traitors and mudbloods were at their strongest in this school? Professor Dumbledore would make sure nothing happened to them. Didn't they realise that at this school the purebloods were the minority? Nothing good would come of them trying to flex their muscles. Wynd let them go about their own devices. They were at other tables, let the other prefects deal with them. Wynd only cared if something happened at his table. If something happened to disturb his lunch.

As Wynd made his way down the Slytherin table he saw the red color of a Gryffindor. Vaguely wondering what a Gryffindor was doing at the Slytherin table he noticed that the boy was talking to a Slytherin boy. That was odd. All of a sudden he heard the Slytherin boy say, "Vermillious Attaqikus, Furnunculus!" Vermin shot out of his wand at attacked the Gryffindor boy and boils started to appear on his face. Wynd hurried his walk toward the Slytherin boy. Before he could reach them the Gryffindor boy retaliated with, "Florikus!" and "Petrificus Totalus!" A blast of cold air came from the boys wand and went toward the Slytherin boy. The Slytherin's boy then became paralysed when the next spell hit him. Wynd by this point had reached them and yelled, "Stop!"

He performed the counter spells to rid the Gryffindor boy of his boils, to get get rid of the rats, and to free the Slytherin boy from his trap. He turned to the Gryffindor boy first. "Twenty points from Gryffindor. You know that you are not supposed to duel unsupervised and if you did not want to be attacked why on Earth did you come to this table?" he turned to the Slytherin boy next. "Twenty points from Slytherin also. You're a fool if you think I am going to let you tarnish the name of Slytherin by picking dumb fights. Now don't let me catch you doing that again!" he told both of them. He gave each one of them a hard look before continuing down the Slytherin table searching for Ruby. Finding her he sat down beside her and told her how stupid some students could be.

Jake looked back glaring at timothy, and put his wand away. He said to the older student "i didn't come here to fight, i came to talk to a friend, but i guess he wasn't here" and then added to timothy "if you want to act like them go ahead, see how i care" and walked off toward his table, nearly slamming himself into a seat. ((uber short ))

Timothy all of a sudden felt paralyed and that made him angry. Timothy didn't like the fact that he could defend himself or even move, Timothy then though OH NO what if my nose started to ich?! what would i do? Timothy could see an older Slytherin come walking by and heard him reverse the spells and un freeze Timothy. Timothy was over joyed for being free angain that is untill he heard that twenty points was being taken from Sltherin. Timothy felt angry and horrible at the same time. Timothy didn't want to fight with his friend but he put Timothy in a place he didn't want to be. Timothy decided that he should at least say something, maybe to lighten the mood a little. "Hey Jake, sorry about yelling at you in front of that girl....i didn't ...." Timothy paused as he saw now reaction yet from Jake and thought that he didn't want to talk to him so Timothy stood up and gathered his things and looked at his lunch, Timothhy suddenly became unhungry. Timothy had fought with his good friend and that costed them both twenty points.Losing points was the worst thing Timothy could do, other then be so horribly rude to a friend that he knew very well, and for a long while. Timothy threw his lunch away and started to walk away hoping that if he walked slow enough that Jake would come around to his good side and reply back, but Timothy knew it was unlikly but also that it could happen. Timothy also knew that Jake was a good friend and a better person then to just turn away after a little old fight about Houses. Timothy did not know what was going on in his friends head, anymore for Timothy could always kind of tell what Jake was thinking, but this time was different. Timothy was clueless.

Jake sat at the gryffindor table, fork and knife in hand, and his plate untouched. he just couldn't get the fact that Tim would do anything like that. Jake shook his head slightly looking around. He understood that he had only been protecting him from the other slytherins, but he still couldn't understand. Jake hated other people getting hurt. that was why he always tried to stand up for others, just so they could have a chance to get out of it, even if he got hurt.
he then looked back down at his plate, and noticed that he didn't want to be mad at timothy. He hated the feeling of it

Jake stood up and looked around, first at the slytherin table, seeing all the people over there laughing and talking, but timothy wasn't there.
he then looked out toward the door, and spotted his friend just as he left to the room on the other side of the door, and Jake took off running out the same door. as soon as he got within eyesight of timothy he yelled out "I'm sorry" and finished running up to his friend saying "I'm sorry about the fight Tim. i hope you can forgive me"
Jake then looked around him and noticed he had yelled the first part, and looked back at his friend, slightly embarrassed, but determined to look like he meant his apology.

As Timothy was walking out of the lunch area Timothy kept wondering why Jak ehad not reacted to him. Why was Jake just ignoring him, Timothy had tried to apologize but Jake didn't budge. Timothy then began to wonder if Jake was considering no longer being his friend. After all they've been through Timothy couldn't just stop being friends with him. It was like being asked not to breathe, he had to be his friend. Timothy knew that Jake knew that he was the reason that Timothy had not yet this year picked on a 1st year Gryffindor, Timothy did run into one but that was an accident. Timothy liked to think of Jake as a brother that he neve had. Knowing that his parents weren't all that great together Timothy liked to think that he could go to Jake whenever he needed. Timothy would write him all the time when he wasn't sure what to do but he just couldn't help it that day. Jake had said the wrong thing at the wrong time. Timothy was caught between a conflict with a girl and an older Slytherin adn now his parents getting a divorce soon wasn't helping the situation at all.Timothy couldn't stop being friends with Jake because that would mean that Timothy was alone and Timothy hated being alone. His family braking apart again, a girl he liked a lot but not sure about her, and now he had just casted a spell o his true best friend. What was Timothy doing? Timothy had no clue why he was acting like such a jerk lately buthe knew he had to make it up to him, and everyone else he had hurt. Timothy stopped in the middle of the hall and started to turn when he heard someone yell out I'm Sorry Jake! Timothy knew it was him, he just could feel it and as he turned to see Jake running towards him repeating it he smile. Timothy smiled as if he had just seen his dead parents. That was more then happienes. That was love, and Timothy loved Jalke as a brother.Timothy wa glad that Jake was coming to him, now Timothycould realy say sorry.Timothy then began to feel whole again as when he had first met Jake. Timothy started to think of this as Jkae ran towards him and then thought....what if he just wanted to yell somemore. That would ake sense , Jake was pretty angry, Timothy could tell when he spoke to him.Jake tried to hide it and Timothy knew this but he always knew when something was wrong. Timothy decided to just take a chance and yell it to him that way if Jake was still mad then he could run before he could say something. " Look, i'm sorry. I've just been so busy and stressed i didn't mean to take it out on you or anyone else. please forgive me because i didn't want it to end like this, i know i was a jrk but i'm trying to say sorry so if only you would frgive me!" Timothy hated saying sorry because he always sounded like a little child whitch made him feel even more weird. Timothy wanted Jake to fogive him because Jake was his only true friend.

Jake took a step closer to his friend, placed his hands on his shoulders and said "then tell me whats going on! i can't help if you don't tell me." he then took a step back and looked over to the side before saying "and I'm sorry for how i reacted. i just wish you would let me deal with the Slytherins. its not like they can do anything too bad to me" he then smiled at that at looked back up at his friend, adding "and you don't need me to forgive you, because like all friends, I already have"
Jake then looked over at a corner of the room, a first year Sryffindor was standing there, and what looked like a 5th year Slytherin was just walking out of the lunch hall, along with many people from the other houses starting to pass by. It seemed that lunch was about to end.

Timothy listened as his friend put his hands on his shoulders and told him "then tell me whats going on! i can't help if you don't tell me." Timothy knew that he should tell him but didn't know if he wanted to, Timothy wasn't having any doubts that he could trust his friend, Timothy, infact, could trust him with anything. Timothy knew that Jake was a Loyal friend and didn't think that Jake would do anything like spread around a rumor or maybe something that Timothy didn't need anyone else knowing. It was just he wasn't sure how Jake would take the information that Timothy was willing to give him.Timothy hoped that if he did tell him that he would take it and hide it somewhere where no one would be able to ge it out of him! "Well, you see it's kind of hard to explain really i mean, i..." Timothy glanced over at the lunch door and saw some Slytherins' walking out of the lunch room door way and started to pass by, Timothy had a notion to duck his head or hide or even act like he was picking on Jake to make it seem as if Timothy didn't know him. Timothy looked back to Jake and gave him a reassuring look, while adding" So i think we need to put all this behind us who cares if we are friends!" Timothy looked over to the other Slytherins' as they stared at him while passing them and laughing at Timothy as if he was not a Slytherin. This time it didn't bother Timothy, he was with his friend so he didn't care.

Jake just looked at his friend and said "what ever it is, you can tell me, its not like it'll hurt our friend ship will it?" and he noticed his friend's attention moved toward the student coming out of the hall, a few on them snickering. Jake glared in their direction and said "what? you guys mind much?" and he then looked back over at timothy, saying "hey, why don't we go try and talk in private, so you can tell me what is going on."
