This was Sep's first time at the great hall at night since that damned sorting feast. "bubble, ointwink and lala!" He was an idiot that headmaster, truly he was. Sep didn't know how she was going to survive under his rule. Also she had got wind of the fact that for first years flipping everything was mandatory. The main thing was this program called brothers and sisters or something just as stupid. The idea was that younger students would pair up with older students to "allow older students to help younger students". What trash! And she was expected to participate! It was utter rubbish, in fact, the whole school! She felt so caged, so confined, in these huge stone walls. She longed to go and race about market streets, stealing and living entirely freely. But she couldn't. And to she longed for her mother or Elena, someone at least, a fact she'd never admit. Silently she swore, then and there, to have revenge on Esteban. He was the cause. He was the wife of Elena, the woman who'd taken Sep in. And then he killed Elena and nearly Sep too.

it was the evening of the first day of lessons in Billy's 4th year. The morning had been rather rubbish as far as he was concerned, having started with double potions, and then having COMC. This afternoon was slightly better, with History of Magic in which he had the chance to sleep off the large lunch he'd had-he had a big, healthy appetitie, and yet he was still rather slim. And to end the day he'd had Transfiguration with Rex, and then DADA with Divination to end the day. And apart from mean times and Transfiguration he hadn't seen Rex all day, so now he was making his way to the great hall with Rex, ready for their evening meal.
Sitting down at the Gryffindor table as they often did-they tended to alternate between Gryffindor and Hufflepuff tables, occasionally going to the Ravenclaw one when Stace was with them, but in those cases Billy often ended up drifting over to the Hufflepuff table anyway-he knew when he wasn't wanted, and that was often made clear when Stace was around. But Billy was not going to let any girl, whether it be a total stranger or Rex's other best friend from splitting their strong friendship. They had been through too much together to let that happen, and Billy would be nothing without Rex, and Rex would be nothing without Billy, apart from a boy that every girl fantasised about. Stace may be Rex's best friend, but Billy was his best friend.
Speaking of Stace, just as they'd sat down, Rex was promptly jumped on by the overenthusiastic Ravenclaw girl that Billy had just been thinking about, nearly causing Rex to choke on the chicken he'd just taken a bite of. barely acknowledging Billy, she began to chatter on to Rex at an alarming rate. Well, it would be alarming had it been anyone other than Anastasia Castlerock. Stace was the chatterbox of the year. Or, more likely, the school. And about as popular as she was chatty too. She had a strong personality, and a strong will to keep any girl from going anywhere near Rex without them paying the price.
Billy turned away from the duo, and began to concentrate more on his food. He picked up a ham sandwich and promptly stuffed it into his mouth, wshed it down with some pumpkin juice, and did the same with a second sandwich. He moved onto the ckicken, just as the other 2 disappeared-most likely Stace had just decided to drag Rex over to the Ravenclaw table as she often did. Had Billy been alone, he would probably have moved over to the adjacent Hufflepuff table, but there was a 1st year girl sitting next to him, looking rather miserable. Rather disappointing, seeing as she'd only been there the grand total of about 26 hours. Well, might as well make some conversation-nobody else was.
"So...you're new right? Gryffindor, I take it? What's up-you seem rather miserable...Hogwarts isn't that awful, surely? Or have you had potions with Snape. Cos really, potions on the first day is enough to put anyone off. Except, perhaps, Slytherins. Sheer up lass, it only gets worse as you get older!"

Arywiel stared. "I'm in my third year." she snapped. She pulled out her wand and twiddled it, just for the sake of having something to do. She felt him looking at her strangely. "Besides, I don't look that young for my age." she added, trying not to redden. She looked down at her wand. White Rowan and Elf hair, 10 inches.

Sep glared at Billy.
I do not need you adding to my bad day and in case you need something to stop your chatter, I hate school and it is that bad.
Then she realised someone else was talking over the top of her and turned and scowled at another girl. "Bye, you can get lost and die in the drainpipes as far as I'm concerned. Oh and I'm pretty sure that he was talking to me, not you. "Oh and in case you still don't get the message: GOOD BYE!" She spat bye with vehemence.

Billy stared at the older of the 2 girls on the table where he was and blinked. She was only a year younger then him, but certainly a lot ruder. He was surprised he hadn't come across her before...but he probably would next year at least when they were both in OWL classes. Nobody in his year, frow what he knew, was that rude. Rex and himself were the pranksters of the year, but they didn't take it to rudeness...just maybe the odd detention, which neither of them cared about too much, but nothing rude like that. That girl needed to be talked to.
"Excuse me, I wasn't talking to you, incase you hadn't already noticed. And I can tell you're in third year, but you're acting as if you're in the third year of primary school. You had no right to butt in like that and accuse me of thinking you were a first year-that was just downright rude, miss high-and-mighty. Did nobody ever tell you to respect your elders? Cos I don't think they did, and if they DID then they didn't do a very good job of it." The girl didn't seem to be paying any attention to his rant, which didn't surprise him, she was too engrossed in her wand. "And incase you didn't know, your wand is not a toy, so stop fiddling with it. I don't trust a girl with your attitude to act safely with it!"
Then the younger girl started talking to him, and was apparently no better than the other girl. Or only marginally so. At least she was sticking up for herself, and perhaps Billy too, albeit in a very harsh manner. Although the other girl was rude, there was no need to tell her to "get lost and die in the drain pipes"-that was just uncalled for, and extremely immature, even for an 11 year old. If he could allow himself to let their behaviour continue, he would just go over to the Hufflepuff table and leave them to argue alone-he couldn't be doing with this. But no, Billy was the sort of person that stood up for what he believed in and right now he believed that the other girl needed a good talking too aswell.
"And you, too, aren't any better than miss high-and-mighty over there. What she said was downright rude, but you're just being immature. There was no need to wish death upon her whatever she said. Both of you just need to calm down and relax-argueing isn't gonna get you anywhere. And you," he said, now addressing the younger girl "I know you've had a bad day, which you still haven't explained to me yet, but you don't need to take your anger out on other students. You're not going to make any friends that way!. What are your names anyway? I'm Billy, by the way-4th year Hufflepuff, bt that doesn't mean I'm a pushover like many students think. Had I been that little bit more brave, I would've been in Gryffindor with my good friend Rex-that boy I was with earlier."

Coone pulled her shoulders in and felt her face glow as she twiddled her wand. She couldnt bear the venemous silence, so she spoke to the other two. "As far as I'm concerned, we've all had a bad day." She continued to twiddle. As she felt the two glowering at her, she put her wand back into her pocket. "Who wants to tell first?" she pulled her chin up and narrowed her eyes at those rude people.

"I'll talk first," said Sep, none to kindly. "I hate hogwarts, next? Because that's all I can say. That's my bad day wrapped up in a nutshell."

Billy sighed at the 2 girls. He didn't really know why he was still there, he wasn't exactly helping. They'd just seemed to ignore him, and now the older one had just changed the subject. Apparently they'd all had a bad day. Well, they had at least. Billy hadn't had the best of days, having started with double potions, and then COMC. He'd had a good afternoon. Yes, he hadn't seen much of Rex, but he'd spent all summer with him so that didn't bother him too much. He knew that Rex wouldn't intentionally ignore him. He just hadn't had any lessons, apart from Transfiguration, with him, and now Stace had dragged him off somewhere, typically. But then again she hadn't seen him all summer so it was only fair to let her have Rex for now.
He answered Arywiels statement, saying that he hadn't had a bad day, he'd had a rather good day, apart from this morning, but he could cope with that. He also said that the weren't making his day any better by complaining about their days. Billy looked around to see if he could see Rex anywhere. He needed a quick escape. But unfortunately, with a quick glance down the Gryffindor table, and then the Ravenclaw table where Stace probably took him, he couldn't see any of them. He looked back towards the Hufflepuff table, to see if he could see Harmony anywhere. Alas, there she was, eating with her sister and cousin, as she usually did. They seemed like a very close family, the Chans. A loving, caring family.
Billy turned back to the girls as the younger one said that she hated Hogwarts. "Why? " asked Billy. She'd said that a few times, but with no answers yet. "What's so bad about it? Come on, you've only been here a couple of days! It's bound to pick up soon. Even those that hate it at first get to love it in the end. I don't think you realise how lucky you are getting to come to such a great school. Yeah, it's hard work, but it's great here." Billy had loved every minute he'd been part of Hogwarts. From his first train ride coming here 3 years ago, where he met Rex, to the train ride bringing him here for his 4th year. he wasn't the best of students, but there was no way he was gonna let anyone say anything against the school without him saying something about it.
"Anyway, what's been so bad about your day then?" He asked, adressing the elder girl this time "You asked the question, so you havw to answer now. Don't tell me you hate Hogwarts too, please! it's not THAT bad. So what is up with you? You're clearly in a bad mood!" Billy himself was getting into a bad mood now. He'd had enough of complaints from them, and quickly scanned the two benches again. Where could they be? It was unlikely Stace had dragged him out of the great hall-Rex loved his food and he wouldn't've finished yet. And Stace wouldn't've forced him to hurry up, he assumed. Ah well, he'd be around somewhere. He turned back to the girls, wondering what they'd have to say for themseleves next.

The boy was looking for a way out, an escape from her and the other girl's company. His eyes kept shifting back and forth around the Great Hall. "What are your names?" she asked. The two didnt answer, they just glared at her. "Well I'm Arywiel." she said softly. She felt for her wand again. 'White Rowan and Elf hair...' she thought to herself. "And I wasn't being rude to you, so don't be rude to me." Ary huffed. The boy and girl exchanged looks. She noticed that they were waiting for her to just get on with it. Suddenly Ary's eyes were drawn to her watch. "Well I must leave you. I wish you both a pleasant conversation." She smirked as she shouldered her bag. 'What obnoxious people.' she thought as she left the Hall and mae for the liberary.
((OOC: hey- how bout another hostile meeting in the library? If one of you is up for it, post something first and put me name in brackets. Cheerio!))

"You have no idea," said Sep bitterly, "and I'm afraid I don't want to talk about it so you won't get any answers any time soon." Then Coone said something and left. Well Brady evidently wanted to leave too so she'd just leave him to it. "Good bye."
And with that she left.
