((Jasmine, Meyghan, Jamison, etc.))
He was nervous and it bothered him to the point of being sick. He sat there in the common room and waited for her. The girl that could make or break his future, that would hold all of his dreams in her hand and could crush them with one word. His eyebrow furrowed, and he bit his lower lip. He watched the door like it was going to suddenly evaporate and swallow him alive. Would she ever come?? He rocked back and forth and wondered why it was so cold all of a sudden. He had not even realized it, but he was shaking from being so nervous.
It was very unlike him to act like this, he was Eric Caolan for crying out loud! He got to his feet and started to pace. Checking his watch, he knew that practice would be drawing to a close and that the team would soon be migrating back into the common room. He knew that then…he would see her. The anticipation would be over…and that was the hardest part after all. Taking a deep breath he practiced what he was going to say.
“Hi there, Jasmine,” he said aloud, “My name is Eric and if there is an opening on the team…I would love to be a Chaser. What the hell?” How lame did he sound?! “My name is Eric…I’m a Chaser…put me on the team. No…Eric’s the name…Quidditch is the game! Oh for…”
He slapped his forehead with a loud clap and flopped back into the chair. With the way he was acting he would not be surprised if the Ravenclaw Captain laughed in his face. What if she was with the other team members? Would they laugh at him too? He felt a wave of sickness over him and he put a hand over his face. Quidditch was his life; it was what kept him going. He had been practicing for three years in order to be good enough for the team and finally felt like he was good enough. For the past month and a half, he barely slept, barely ate, barely did anything but practice. It was his addiction.
But what if she said no? What would he do then? Die…no, he’d think of some other way out than that! He would keep trying, dammit…until he was blue in the face, he would not let her turn him down. Not any of them. He ran their names through his head and matched them to faces. Meyghan Gallagher…sixth year Chaser…Jamison Parson…sixth year Chaser…and her…Jasmine Anderson…sixth year Keeper…the Captain. He felt sick all over again.
“Get a hold of yourself, Caolan,” he told himself, standing back up and waiting to see if any of them would ever come.

Meyghan hadn’t been in the Common Room for more than two minutes at a time in months. She couldn’t believe how busy she had been. Between Quidditch, a new family at home, and the ever growing relationship with Jamison, which she still wasn’t sure of the nature of it, Meyghan hadn’t had a spare moment for herself. She was actually glad of the free time that she was finally getting. Meyghan was making her way to the common room from the library, and began wondering what the meeting in the common room was about. It had something to do with Quidditch, this much she was sure of, but that was all. It was a bit unusual for them to have any meetings about Quidditch in the common room, but nothing in this school was normal anyway. Meyghan needed a break from everything that was running through her mind. How did one escape their own mind though. Meyghan wasn’t sure of that.
Listening to the click-clack sound of her chunky heeled black boots, Meyghan thought about her wardrobe. Wonder if I have time to change into something different before everyone gets in the common room. She knew that Jamison was supposed to be at this meeting as well, and she definitely didn’t want to look as if she hadn’t slept in days, granted it was the truth, Meyghan had been studying all night at the library, somehow managing not to get caught at it, and hadn’t slept for the two nights before that trying to get caught up with everything in her life that she was behind on. She only hoped that she would have a chance to get to her dorm before everyone arrived at the meeting.
Entering the common room, she saw a fifth year, Eric, she believed his name to be, already there. Wasn’t he the one that asked for Jasmine, myself and Jamison to meet him here? Meyghan thought to herself not really sure if her mind was playing tricks on her or not. “Hello, are you here for the Quidditch meeting?” Meyghan asked. Not really waiting for a reply, Meyghan spoke again, “I’ll shall return in a moment, I need to run and change my outfit.” Meyghan couldn’t believe that she was being so open with someone that she barely even knew. She rushed up to her dorm, grabbed her favorite black flare legged jeans and a blue baby tee with a beautiful multi-colored butterfly on it. Changing out of her blue plaid pleated skirt and black tee shirt, Meyghan rushed herself to get dressed, and slid back on her boots. If only everyone knew how much Meyghan loved those boots, they would understand why she could rarely bring herself to not wear them. Meyghan stopped thinking about it and pulled her hair up into a quick ponytail and then a braid as well, grabbed her bag and headed back down to the common room. Re-entering the common room, Meyghan noticed that no one else had made it to the meeting yet while she was changing. Meyghan sighed a breath of relief, she didn’t want to come out of the common room late for the meeting, knowing that she had already been through the common room. Sitting in her favorite spot, a huge blue chair that she usually sat on the arm of, she looked at the fifth year that she believed to be Eric. “Your name’s Eric right?” She asked a bit dazed as she was still unsure of the nature of this meeting.

"Hey! Leave the first year alone!" Jamison screamed down the hall at some third years. Too late, they had already disappeared into the abyss that was Hogwarts Castle. Jamison sighed. When did Prefects Duties get so tiring? So boring? Basically, all Jamison did was yell at kids to stop running or leave the first years alone. Sometimes he gave out detentions, but that was about all he did. Well, there was that situation with Kyra, but that was months before. Jamison winced thinking back to that day and how weird it had been. But, now, Jamison had been told that Kyra had disappeared. No one knew where she went. Secretly, Jamison hoped she had stopped hurting herself, but he would never know for sure, would he? He sighed. Maybe boring prefect's duties was okay after all. At least with boring stuff he didn't have to be worried all of the time. It made Jamison a bit sick when he thought about what Kyra had done to herself. What would lead someone to cut themselves? He sighed. Something terrible obviously. He shook his head giving out a sigh. Lately, the only things he had time to do were eat, sleep, Prefect Duties, homework, studying, and seeing Meyghan when he got the chance. But, he knew had spent a lot of time in the library. Jami couldn't blame her. There sixth year was almost over and before they knew it, Jamison and Meyghan would enter there final year at Hogwarts. It was weird to think about, but it would happen. It wasn't that far away.
Jamison raced out of the Prefect’s Lounge after he picked up his Transfiguration Book. He knew there was some sort of Quidditch Meeting in the Common Room. But, he didn’t know much about it or who had called it. He sighed. He had nearly forgotten about it with everything going on. Basically, Jamison had been super focused on exams and Prefect Duties. He had been doing most of his living in the Prefect’s Lounge actually. But, he couldn’t hind in there any longer. Hind? No he wasn’t really hiding more like too focused to care if anyone said that he was hiding. Jamison just wanted to get past exams. Then he had the rest of the summer to relax. Wendi would be staying most of it at Carr McDuff’s mansion in Birmingham, so Jami didn’t have to look after her or anything. Then again, Jami was just glad that they were talking again. Not talking to Wendi, was nearly impossible. But, that was Wendi’s choice after all. It was also her choice to talk to Jami again which Jamison was glad she had made that choice. He shook his head. Wendi was his sister and she was the only thing Jami had left from his parents. He couldn’t lose her.
Jamison looked around as he entered the Common Room minutes later. He wasn’t sure if he was late or not, but he didn’t really notice. Jamison smiled as he walked over to Meyghan, spotting her in a blue chair. He then noticed the boy she was sitting near. Had he called the meeting? Jamison wasn’t really sure of anything about this really. Then again, Quidditch had been the last thing on his mind lately. It didn’t love with Quidditch, he did. But, basically studying for classes had been filling his brain. He smiled at Meyghan and reached and squeezed her hand a bit as he passed. “Hi.” He said to her nicely. He then took a seat in a big chair next to her. He then looked at the boy. “You’re Eric Caolan, right?” He asked already knowing the answer. Jamison knew nearly everyone in Ravenclaw even if they didn’t know him. “I’m Jamison.” He said simply. He then stared around the common room quietly waiting for Eric to say something.

He thought his heart would jump clear out of his chest just sitting around waiting for someone to come. He laughed to himself; just when he finally could see them all together, he would be dying in the middle of the floor and sent to the Hospital Wing. Yeah, some real tough guy having a heart attack over something as small as this. But was it really small? Not to him. Quidditch was his life, the only thing that kept him from using an Unforgivable Curse on that blue-blooded clan he called his family. Well maybe that was a bit over-board, but who could really tell? Eric Caolan, the sweet and funny guy, could he really have a dark side? It was still too early to tell, but sometimes he worried about his temper…one day it would be the only thing the drove him.
Suddenly the wait was over, he saw someone coming, and damn near forgot to breathe. Was it her? Taking a deep breath he saw that it was not Jasmine, but Meyghan Gallagher. Aha. He thought she was very pretty, but rumors of she and Jamison being an item kept him at bay. Besides, his heart lay with his broom these days, after certain things, he could not have a girlfriend, not now. She hurried a hello and said she was going to be right back. Eric said nothing, but nodded in return. It would give him a bit of time to sit back and catch his now racing breath. First you can’t breathe, now you can’t stop…calm down Eric, take it easy… Suddenly Meyghan returned, dressed in street clothes and sat down on a blue chair. Eric glanced down at himself; he was not in his school uniform, but instead wearing a pair of distressed jeans and a blue t-shirt with some Muggle skateboarding sponsor on it, Element it was called. He knew nothing of skateboarding, but liked the design of the shirt, so bought it anyway. When he finally saw what the fuss was about, it was a fascinating sport, something he would love if Quidditch were not his passion.
Interupting his fashion thoughts, Meyghan asked him if he was Eric. He opened his mouth to speak but was cut off by another one entering the common room. Again, not Jasmine, but this time Jamison Parson. He knew of him well, all of them in fact, it was hard not to when he wanted to join them so badly. He watched Jamison enter the room and walk over to Meyghan, squeezing her hand a bit. So the rumors are true… he smiled inwardly. “You’re Eric Caolan, right?” The second time he was asked this.
“Yeah, I’m Eric,” he smiled surprised they knew who he was. “I know who you are, and it’s nice to finally meet you both. I suppose it’s a rather strange thing for me to ask you here…”
He looked longingly at the door, waiting for Jasmine to come in. Would she show at all? He swallowed hard, “…I guess I can tell you, though she--Jasmine—is not here yet. I want to ask to join the Quidditch team.”
He waited; a little embarrassed for reasons he really could not explain. What a thing to ask of them. For them allow him to join them…so late in the year, so late in his Hogwarts life. This fall he would be a sixth year, and if they agreed, he would only be on the team for two years. How could he ask them to trust him when they knew so little about him? He coughed in his hand, and smiled a bit nervously.
“Hm, I guess it’s a bit of an odd thing to ask really…”
