Williard drowsily pushed back his warm comforter, and collapsed back down onto his pillow, making sure to keep his eyes closed in an effort to hold on to what little sleepiness he had left. He had had a wonderful dream. He had had a wonderful evening yesterday at Bonfire Night. Given the way he felt this morning, his good mood still hadn't subsided yet, not that he wanted it to. This was the best feeling Williard had ever felt. He had an awesome time with Skyler yesterday. They visited every stand at Bonfire Night, they told jokes, they laughed a lot. Mostly at each other's expense (Williard still hadn't forgotten about Skylers leg curse), but they had a great time, which was all that counted.
When they got back up to the Common Room, Williard remembered all the candy he had in his trunk from the Hogwarts Express, dumped it all out, and after a bit of persuasion from Skyler when Williard expressed his concern about his dental health, they ate everything. Williard thought there was no better candy than the Licorice Wand, but was soon proven wrong by the Chocolate Frog, then the Acid Pop, and then the Blood Pop. He couldn't bring himself to eat the Cockroach Cluster. He knew it was just candy, but just couldn't stand the alarming resemblance to the real thing. He didn't fancy Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans too much. He ate one, and luckily it was cherry flavored, but opted not to try his luck again.
With that last thought, Williard scrambled up onto his knees and pulled back the curtains of his four poster. He looked around on the floor between his bed and Skyler's, and discovered someone cleaned up all the wrappers they had left on the floor the previous night. For one wild moment he looked at Skylers closed curtain on his four poster and thought he must've cleaned everything up, but that was impossible. Skyler fell asleep before he did. Oh, well, it's cleaned up, so thats that, he thought. Maybe one of the other first year boys did it. But, wait, that wouldn't make sense. Oh, well.
Just then, he heard a loud snort, and Williard jumped in alarm. The mystery of the Snoring Ravenclaw First Year was solved. The culprit was in the bed on the other side of Williard. He fell back onto his bed and put his hands over his mouth to stifle his laugh. "What the heck?" Williard whispered to himself. He had never heard a sound quite like that in his life. If only he could've recorded it to let Skyler hear it.

Thank you! Thank you! You are such a wonderful audience! Of course, I wouldn't be anything without my best friend Mackenzie Holden! Give her a round of applause ladies and gentlemen! Mackenzie, what happened to your face? And the rest of your body? Why, your not Mackenzie! Oh, Alex! It's just you. What's that you say? ...You want to be my best friend? You don't ever want to be separated from me again? Well, okay. If you insist. But whatever became of Mack? And for that matter what happened to the audience? And... Hello? what happened to you? Hello! Mack? Alex? ...What was that? ...who's there? Oh, it's just you Will. Why do you look so angry? ...Of course I like you... Oh, them? They're just... Now wait a minute that's not very nice... What are... what are you doing...? Will... no. NO!!!!!!!!!!!
Skyler straight up in bed and gasped for air. He was drenched in sweat. Where was he? What time was it? Think Skyler, he thought to himself. Last night I went to the Bonfire with Will and then... we came home and stuffed ourselves with candy. He looked around but he could not see very far. Although the sun was shining through the window of his room his curtains of his four-poster bed were still drawn. What was that? A Nightmare? ...about Will? That just didn't make any sense. Why would he have a nightmare about Will? Will had been really nice to Skyler and they had become really good friends. It was nice to have a friend his own age and in his house. Why would he have a nightmare about his friend? Maybe even his best friend.
Skyler was jolted out of his thoughts by the most absurd noise he had ever heard. He stuck his head out of his curtains so that just his head was showing and saw Will on his bed. Will was on his back with his hands over his mouth obviously trying to stifle a laugh. The sight of Will brought new life to the memory of the nightmare. How could Skyler ever tell Will about his dream? He couldn't. He wouldn't. But why was he even thinking these thoughts about him? Skyler looked around the room at his other roommates' beds who still had their curtains drawn. "Psst," Skyler whispered to Will trying to get his attention. "Psst, Will. What was that noise?"

Williard stopped laughing and looked over to see Skyler with his head stuck out of his four poster. He looked flustered, but he did just wake up. "It's him." he whispered pointing to the bed on the other side of him. "He's the one who's been snoring like that all this time." Williard started laughing quietly again. The fact the the snort woke Skyler up just made it that much funnier. "Do you think we should tell him about his snoring when he wakes up? I don't know if he'll take offense to it or not but-" Williard stopped whispering. Skyler was sweating.
"Um, are you alright? You look a little sick.....OH NO!" Williard exclaimed walking over to Skyler. "It was the candy we ate wasn't it? It made you sick! I made you sick! I knew we shouldn't have eaten it all!" Williard went and got his robe off his trunk. "Come on! Lets get to the Hospital wing. What is it, a stomach ache?" This was terrible. The first friend Williard had ever had, and he makes him sick. Well, it'll be alright, he thought. He just need to get him to the Hospital Wing, Madam Pomfrey will give him something, and he'll be just fine. No harm done.

Skyler followed the direction of Will's finger to a four poster bed on the opposite side of the room as Will's and Skyler's beds. Finally they had found out who had been snoring this whole semester. There had been many a night that Skyler had been wide awake listening to that sound. But the snorer had eluded until now. Now Will had discovered who it was. And now they could do something about it. Skyler had overheard some older Ravenclaws talking about a spell that had the power to silence its targets. Will and he were going to have to ask some older students, maybe Alex, if they would perform the charm for them. He was just going to tell this to Will when Will stopped what he was saying. Oh no! he must realise that I'm sweating like a pig.
Skyler quickly wiped his brow with his hand. He drew his head back into the drawn curtain so that Will could not see him. Once in the safety of his own space, Skyler wiped his face off on his pajamas. He should have done that before he stuck his head out, if he had been thinking! But that snort was so absurd that for a moment Skyler had forgotten all about his mysterious dream. But now that Will had noticed his drenched hair the dream was rushing back. "Ummm.... no.... I'm fine! I'm fine Will!" He tore open the curtains so that Will could see him now. "It wasn't the candy. You didn't make me sick. I... I..." What was he supposed to tell Will? That he had a nightmare in which Will was the star? No. No! He could never tell his new friend about that. He glanced around the room and noticed the sunlight coming through the window. "Please, I don't want to go to the Hospital Wing," he said these as Will pulled his robe from his trunk. "I'm fine. Really. I was just really warm last night, that's all." He bit his lip and hoped that Will would not ask any more questions. The tower was freezing.

Williard stared at Skyler for what must've been a solid minute before answering, "Alright. I guess I was just over reacting a little. I do that from time to time." It wasn't warm at all, but he guessed people are different. He took off his robe, and layed it back across his trunk. Sitting back down on his bed, he looked at Skyler. "Well, it's Saturday. What do you want to do?" Williard had his own ideas but doubted Skyler would like them. Skyler didn't read very much, so browsing through the Library wouldn't exactly sound like loads and loads of fun to him. However, Skyler mentioned something called "Football" before. Williard didn't know what that was, but it sounded like it could be fun. He thought about asking Skyler to teach him to play it a few times, but chickened out.
Williard wasn't that great at sports. He was a fast runner, but that was were his athletic prowess ended, unfortunately. He wasn't very strong, but had surprisingly good coordination. He had so much admiration for the Quidditch players. He wished he could play one day, but highly doubted it. Williard had never been on a broom in his life. He was sure it was harder than they made it seem. But, he shoved his thoughts aside. He was in such a good mood, that whatever Skyler wanted to do, he wanted to do. Or, he'd try at least.

Williard stared at Skyler a good minute before replying. That was a very tense minute for Skyler. Did he know, thought Skyler. Has he figured out that I was lying that I'm not all right? But after a minute of silence, Will finally admitted defeat. He took off his robe and place it back on his trunk. Will sat back on his bed before speaking again. Today was Saturday. The end of term was fast approaching and therefore the professors were pressing down harder on the students to excel in their academics. Skyler's first thought was actually to go to the library and study. But that sounded boring. It was a Saturday after all. They would have all day Sunday to complete their homework and such. The Ravenclaw in him told him that he and Will should spend the day studying, but the eleven year old in him told him to go play. The latter voice of reason won.
"Well, it's too cold outside to do much except go on a swift walk. One of these days I would really love to show you how to play football. They don't have that sport in the wizarding world. We would need a large open space though. So that idea goes out the window. How about we take the day one step at a time? I'm hungry. Let's go down to the Great Hall and get something to eat." Yes, a little food is all he needed to settle his nerves. Once he got some bacon and eggs in him he would feel much better. "Although Will," Skyler smiled, "I don't know how much more embarrassment I can take. You liking vegetables and all. Did you see those older years staring at us? It was like you were from a different planet." He really wanted to lighten the mood and get his mind of his dream. He hoped that Will would know that Skyler was just teasing him. His mum had always told him to eat better. Maybe Will would just show him how.

"Well, I don't care very much about people staring. It's nothing to be ashamed of. So, I like vegetables. They act like I'm eating...eating....dungbombs or something." It really was unbelievable how people found healthy eating around here. What with everything else like moving staircases, ghosts, moving pictures, and defying the laws of nature, you would think they would hardly take notice to a simple matter of someone eating their broccoli. But all the same, Williard agreed. They'd just take the day step by step.
Although, Williard did long to study. He couldn't live with himself if he didn't do well on his exams. But, if it was one thing he learned from Skyler, it was you have to have fun every once in a while. Besides. Williard knew most of the material taught in his classes. Except maybe History of Magic, which he found dreadfully boring and like everyone else, most of his energy went to fighting drowsiness as oppose to retaining information. But, today was a good day. Williard was in a good mood. All he wanted to do was take it easy.
