Ary twiddled her thumbs and stared into the fire. It was 10 at night, but she felt wide awake. All her friends had drifted away and gone to bed, so she sat on her own, feeling the energy pump through her veins. There were still a few older students in the common room, and there was laughter coming from a group of boys who had gotten hold of a bottle of Butterbeer. Arywiel wanted to go out, investigate, maybe even get into trouble, but there was nobody to join her!
She was on the verge of getting up and going off herself...

Jake walked out from the boys dorms and stood there. He hadn't been able to sleep and wanted to go somewhere. He hated being stuck inside the castle for so long, he needed fresh air. he noticed there was someone sitting by the fire, a third year by the look of her, so Jake walked over saying "I'm going to guess you cant sleep either?"

Arywiel jumped as the boy spoke to her. She looked him up and down impatiently for having startled her. She presumed he was in her year, as she had seen him about before.
Was he perhaps the snob boy with the rich family? She treated him to a half-smile and a raised eyebrow. He didn't look like the type to chat to random people.
"Tough luck sleeping?" she challanged him half playfully, half smirking. One of her friends had pointed him out as being 'sweet but outright arrogant'.
she got to her feet. She didn't feel like chatting."I'm off for a round. Coming with?" She was startled at herself for having asked the boy to wander about the school at night with her. Arywiel smiled to herself. "Oh, I'm Arywiel Coone, by the way." She straightened herself proudly.

Jake smiled and said "ya i did" and when she said she was off for as round he said "sure ill come with and I'm Jake Naito. nice to meet you"

Jake stood there waiting for Ary to start walking
