Celia was having a fun evening already, and the bonfier celebrations had barely started! She'd already gone to Playing with Fire, where she had won a broomstick polishing kit, with scented oils, which she enjoyed, she'd gone to see the bonfire, and she'd just had a quick drink, from Jami's stall, before she went to a free space to set up her own stall. Herself and Kiana Brightstar were selling sparklers to the students. Magical sparklers, that is. Being a wizarding school, Celia had managed to charm the sparklers to do various things. Some had been charmed to make various shapes..some were animals, some people...some even famous buildings, plus many others. Other sparklers had been charmed to make various noises...voices, annoying things, natural noises, and likewise with smells.
She also had plans for there to be several prizes available too, which she hoped Kia was going to supply. The idea was that if the sparkler made the shape, noise or smell of the item, then you won it. Well, sound could either mean the sound it made, or someone saying "congratulation's you've won..." or something along those lines. She had a basic idea of what sorts of prizes there were, but it was up to Kia to supply them. Hopefully Ariane would turn up too...she'd expressed an interest in helping them, but hadn't given a definate answer. She hoped that it would be a fun and popular store, and that none of her charms were faulty. Safety was catered for though-prefects and some teachers had buckets of water and sand where they could put the sparklers, and first aid was at hand if needed.
As she got to her table, she stuck the large sign she'd made to the wall behind her, and another one on the front of the table. These explained what Celia was just about to set up. She had 4 boxes. A smells one, a shapes one, a noises one and a "lucky dip" which consisted of any random things she'd decided to try out. All of the sparklers were in various colours too...often multicoloured. She lay out the boxes on the table on top of a fire-pattered cloth, and put a shelf up behind her, where the prizes would go once Kia arrived. Celia hoped that she'd arrive soon-she didn't want people to turn up, win a prize, and realise that it wasn't there!
((Right, so, basically post here, and say which box you chose your sparkler from. Don't say what the sparkler did, unless it's lucky dip...in which case it can be anything! As long as it doesn't win a prize...so please, don't all go for lucky dip! Then, after a few of you have posted I'll post saying what each of you got...either that or Ariane will edit the posts saying what happened, seeing as she has the power to edit posts =).))

As Arywiel walked up to the bonfire, she already felt the warmth of the growing fire. It looked as if the whole school was out, sitting around the fire or sipping drinks around the little wooden stands. Phoebe hurried up to her and thrust her a marshmallow-kebap. Ary held it over the fire and listened to the pink Marvin's Magic Mallows squeak, as they melted on the little wooden stick. Beaming, she chewed them off and let the sugary sensation melt in her mouth. "I'm off for a pumpkin juice." Said Phoebe, and she hurried off. Arywiel pushed past a bunch of Hufflepuffs huddling around the fire. There was the sound of laughter and music, as one of them sang a rude song to the sound of a guitar the size of a shoe-box. There was a fizz, and a bunch of sparks flew into the air to form the Eiffel Tower. "Why did I get a bloomin' French one?" She heard a disgruntled boy say. There were more fizzes, and suddenly the smell of fresh pastry broke out. A few second year girls shrieked in delight. Arywiel hurried towards the source of the sparks. There was a little rickety stand selling magic sparklers. Some Gryffindors bustled past and made for the stand. Ary joined the group, and grinned up at some of the familiar faces. "I'm getting a lucky dip!" Exclaimed the boy closest to her. Ary pushed past the group of people around the stand and yelled out: "A lucky dip one, please!" She slammed the coins down on the table and was thrust a small, thin black stick. She pushed her way out of the crowd and lit the sparkler with her wand. The thing flared up and sent red sparks flying. She shrieked, alarmed. Suddenly there was the sound of cheering and honking. It seemed as if she was in a football stadion, as there was so much noise around there. Everyone around her put there hands to their ears over the deafening sound. Arywiel realised that it was coming from the sparkler, so she gave a little grin of delight. Suddenly there was a "pffffft!" and the thing spluttered out. She dropped the little black smoking stick on the floor and hurried off to find her friend.

Ariane sighed audibly. Great. Bonfire Night. This meant three hated things: music, partying, and fireworks. Already she could hear the loud beat of the song float towards her ears as she neared the Grounds. Ariane had also had enough of parties; Aurora had just held a Halloween bash the other day in the Hufflepuff Common Room, in which she had very eagerly dragged Ariane into helping her organise the event. Ariane couldn’t escape the latter hated thing either due to having to help out at the fireworks stall with Celia Richmond, a Ravenclaw in her year, and Kia Brightstar, that too happy girl from the year below whom Ariane had met a while back in Hogsmeade. Neither of them had ever really spoken much to Ariane, and she wasn’t looking forward to it. However, at least it was better than being forced to erect and run a stall of her own by herself. Oh no, Ariane was not going to do that. No way, this was the major reason Ariane didn’t want to be a prefect in the first place. How she had been made one she didn’t really understand, but it was a responsibility and she had to at least uphold her end of the bargain for tonight. Ariane had been so against doing a stall down by herself, the teachers had quite pityingly asked her to help… well, she didn’t really know what she was getting into; since Ariane didn’t know what the stall would be selling, she had high apprehensions concerning what Professor McGonagall had deemed as the ‘surprise sparklers stall’. It was probably a stall with sparklers, Ariane thought dryly to herself, and therefore there would be plenty of safety hazards. Ariane was a sensible girl, and she was fluent in spells and such, good to have around in case of an accident, which, Ariane noted in disdain, would be quite likely, as a familiar third year Gryffindor sprinted past her after dropping an exploding sparkler, from the looks of it.
“Celia. Kia.” Ariane nodded curtly at the two girls as she rounded the stall to join them. She observed her surroundings with a critical eye; students thronged together in groups ranging from pairs (couples, she noticed with a little cynicism) to large groups of giggling young girls. The other stalls were doing fairly well too; Ariane noted Jamison Parson, the head boy, running a drinks stall, and a few other prefects she recognised. Too disinterested already, Ariane turned her attention back to Celia and Kia. She didn’t want to be here, she had to admit that wholeheartedly. She wondered of her fellow ‘shopkeepers’ realised this, or if they were under the illusion Ariane was dying to be here, wanting to extend her helping hand. It wasn’t Ariane wasn’t helpful… just antisocial. She preferred solitude and silence, and gods, there was none of that here, certainly. Inwardly, Ariane wistfully thought of Aurora, probably wandering around with Harmony right now. It seemed likely; even though both Hufflepuffs disliked rabble, they would probably not miss out on a large school event. It was normally Ariane who without a doubt curled herself in her dormitory, out of sight from everyone else, and read a book. Unfortunately, when you were a prefect, life wasn’t quite so free. Ariane would quit the ‘job’ if she could, but since she couldn’t, duties such as stalking the corridors just had to be completed with as little complaining as possible. Ariane wondered if that was why the teachers had chosen her; Aurora would’ve been the sensible choice, but nope; it was her they targeted and tied up in knots.
“Need a hand?” Ariane finally initiated conversation with Celia and Kia; she didn’t direct her quiet question at a specific person, merely left it to see who would reply. “I’ll make sure no one kills themselves.” Ariane added as she watched a nearby first year almost burn her fingers on one sparkler critically. “I’d prefer not to man the stall, is what I’m saying.” Ariane tried to explain herself as shortly as possible as she drew out her wand and pointed it at the incautious girl to stop the sparks from licking her fingers too closely. “Please be careful with the sparklers.” Ariane sighed reluctantly, before the girl scampered off. Her honest opinion was that this stall was much too dangerous for her liking; who knows what could happen. Oh well. Ariane would watch the night proceed with little liking.

Skyler practically ran from the refreshment stand to the stand with Sparklers. Once he arrived at the stand, he glanced behind him to see if Will was still with him. Skyler had taken off quite swiftly and forgot that he was enjoying the night with someone else. But he couldn't help it. Skyler loved to run. Back in the muggle world he loved to play football because all one did was run. When he first arrived at Hogwarts, one of his roommates had asked him what he liked to do. Skyler tried to explain football to him; a completely foreign concept to the pureblood boy. "It's a game. And it's played with a round ball that you kick. You can't use your hands save for the goal keeper. But he's special..." But it was in vain. His fellow Ravenclaw was just confused and Skyler didn't think he was making things clearer so in the end he finally conceded: "It's a muggle sport."
Watching Will catch up to him at the stand reminded Skyler that he hadn't allowed Will to answer. When Will had made his way to the stand, Skyler said "Sorry, didn't mean to run out on you like that. I really do want to know who you got for a big sibling." At the stand were several girls years older than Will and Skyler but they seemed friendly enough. One of the girls who had on Gryffindor colors looked vaguely familiar but Skyler could not imagine how he would know her. There were four boxes to choose from. Being a keen observer, Skyler was more interested in the shape of things rather than how they sounded or smelled. Listening to Will's response, Skyler picked up a Sparkler from the shapes box.

Williard stood looking between the four boxes while listening to Skyler ask him again about who his big sibling was. He chose a shape sparkler, so Williard decided he would choose a noise sparkler. For a second he thought he would choose a smell one, but given the possible consequences, he opted for the noise. He then turned back to Skyler. "I got, Jez Cuthbert, I think his name was. He's a Gryfindor sixth year. I haven't seen or met him yet though. I actually got switched last minute." He added a little bitterly. "I had Lori Leigh at first. She's in our house. A fifth year. But, I guess Im alright with Jez."
Williard really did look forward to having a Ravenclaw as an older sibling. Of course he didn't mind Jez, or anyone else from any other house, but he supposed he probably would've liked a student from his own house a little better. But, thats just how things work out he supposed. Well, for him anyway. "So, do you know your Big Sisters name?"

((I know you requested a reply a while ago, and I've finally got round to it!))
At first, there weren't many visitors to her stall. Kia arrived soon after Celia had set up the stall, and put the prizes on the shelves behind them. Business was slow to start with-most students were around the campfire or the "playing with fire" game, both of which were probably more interesting than sparklers, now Celia thought about it. There were some students, including a 2nd year with a pastry smelling sparkler, and one with the eiffel tower. A 3rd year Gryffindor girl came , taking a lucky dip. Unfortunately not much happened other than a deafening noise and some red sparks going everywhere. The girl soon rushed of after the sparkler fizzled out, once again leaving Kia and Celia virtually alone.
Soon after that, Ariane arrived, offering her assistance. "Sure, you can help if you want. There isn't much to do, hardly anyone's turned up, but still, you're welcome to stay. A safety inspector is always welcome, if you want to do that. Otherwise, there isn't much to do, apart from man the stall, which you say you don't want to do." A few minutes later, 2 Ravenclaw first year boys arrived-she'd seen them at Playing with Fire. She was glad to hear them talking about BBBS, from which she recognised them as Skyler and Williard, as Skyler picked out a sparkler from the shapes box.
It formed itself into the shape of a box, with a mini firework on the front. THis indicated they'd won a prixe, and one they could share. "Congratulations boys, you've won! Your prize is a box of indoor fireworks. Now, be careful with them. And save some for the community-it'll be nice to have them at the end of the year, especially if Ravenclaw win the house cup, or quidditch matches." She whispered the latter-although she meant it in a jokey way, she didn't want her Ravenclaw pride to offend her Gryffindor stall-mates, despite them being her friends.
