Oh goodness... so many Bludgers flying around, thankfully none at Harmony, but things looked tough for Ivy as Arywiel tried to steal the Quaffle from her. Luckily, all was well as her Captain dodged the attack and moved to finish off: to shoot! Harmony held her breath as the Quaffle flew towards the goals, where AJ Murphy, a sixth year, was waiting to defend. Cassandra had come off, so he was the replacement, putting Maryn as Captain now, since she was the vice. However, Ivy's aim was true and it sailed right through the hoop, barely skimming AJ's fingers. A loud cheer came from the Huffle crowd, a collective groan on the other side where the Gryffindors sat. Harmony herself whooped loudly with the celebrations, doing a swoop round on her broom as AJ flew to collect the Quaffle. Now it was twenty - nil, and Hufflepuff definitely had the lead. Now, if only Charles could find the Snitch...
Harmony didn't know AJ personally, but she had heard he had a reputation of sorts. He was in the same year and house as Ari, and was one of those people she was sure her sister didn't appreciate. Wondering if Aurora was friends with this boy, Harmony watched he readied himself to pass to someone... that someone being Lenora. Determined to intercept the pass, Harmony flew forward immediately.

Arywiel missed the Quaffle and whizzed right past Ivy. She skidded around, to attempt to make a second grab, but the red ball had already soared through the hoop, AJ barely touching the Quaffle. Arywiel cursed a little too loudly. Perhaps AJ had heard her, but she didn't care, as she whizzed off. Ary had failed the team a second time as Chaser. Ary tried to shut out the painful sound of the Hufflepuffs cheering. The moans from the Gryffindor stand was almost worse. 20 to nil. Ary soared about, trying to take in everything happening while the players loitered. AJ was readying to pass to Lenora and Harmony was typically trying to intercept the pass. If Ary had still been beater, she would have sent a bludger at the girl so fiercely it could have winded a horse. But Arywiel hung around Lenora, ready to recieve the ball once the latter got it. Ary tried calling out to show that she was free, but Lenora most probably couldn't hear her.

After pulling up from the Wronski Feint, Scott hadn't even had much time to see if Charles had followed or not. Within a matter of seconds, he heard a voice calling from nearby. It was the feared warning that a Bludger was headed for him, but to Scott's luck, Arywiel was able to defend him from being hit a second time. "Thanks," he shouted, just before hearing the announcer's voice over the speaker exclaiming that Hufflepuff had scored again. Scott felt a bit silly having tried to fool Charles. It seemed that it really hadn't done anything productive, and the crowd was likely watching the Hufflepuff team score again to even notice that Scott had made such a direct dive. Regardless, he spun and flew back to a higher position, still looking for the Snitch, and wondering if Charles, or anyone for that matter, had seen his attempt to make the match a bit more interesting.

Bryce cursed under his breath as the Bludger sailed past him and toward Sophia. Luckily, she was able to dodge it. Before he could let himself get discouraged though, Bryce bolted off after it with a determination that overshadowed his disappointment in failing to defend Sophia. The Bludger was dipping and swerving madly and Bryce was keen to follow its every move. As it spun around the far end of the pitch, he heard the crowd cheering and he realized that Hufflepuff had just scored another goal! It was only a twenty point game, but with how hard everyone was playing, Bryce would happily accept any lead. Still, at this point, it would come down to whoever caught the Snitch, and as far as he could tell, there didn't seem to be much of a difference in Charles and Scott's abilities. It was either team's game at this point, and Bryce was just determined to keep calm and do whatever he could to help out Hufflepuff. As he caught up to the Bludger, he took a heavy swing and aimed it at the nearest Gryffindor player, Lenora.

Again? How had Hufflepuff scored again? This wasn't how the game was supposed to go. Branden had to admit, the Hufflepuffs were playing very well today. Very on top of everything. It seemed to Branden that Ivy was very organized as a captain, because all her players seemed to be quite systematic and sticking to their job in the game. That included the beaters and Branden searched around for a bludger to get them back with. He found one, sort of, it was flying at Lenora for the time being. But that could be easily sorted...

Maryn winced when Hufflepuff scored. Darn it. She looked to AJ. Well, at least he had tried his best. “Good try AJ!” She called to him. She had to be supportive. Besides, the game wasn’t over yet. Maryn raced toward AJ and the goals as she realized that he was going to pass the quaffle. He tried his best to reach Lenora, but Harmony intercepted. Maryn shook her head and sped after Harmony. The game had to be turned around. Gryffindor had to try a little harder even if they were putting a lot into the game already. Maryn noticed Scott who was still looking for the snitch. C’mon Scott. She thought to herself. Everyone knew that the snitch usually determined who won the game. Gryffindor still had a chance of winning. Maryn sped up as she tried to reach Harmony. She had to steal that quaffle.

The wind was against her, biting her cheeks and sucking the warmth out of her blood. Still, Harmony fought against the current to swoop high and into the path of the Quaffle AJ had just launched towards Lenora. With a final push, fingers outstretched, she scraped the Quaffle. Lenora was so close. Harmony did the final stretch to secure the ball, and having succeeded in intercepting the pass, immediately tucked the Quaffle safely under her arm. Her broom bringing her down from the leap she had done, Harmony looked round to see a Bludger flying her way. Alarmed she instinctively propelled her broom forward, trying to avoid the black ball, as well as the Chasers coming after her. Maryn, Harmony noted, was flying right at her this minute; she wanted to try to steal. Well, they were very close to the goalposts now... so if Harmony tried to shoot, perhaps she could scoop the shot over Maryn's body, past AJ and into the hoop. With a determined expression Harmony threw the Quaffle, hoping for thirty points.

Scott my have pulled a Wronski Feint on him but there was no way he was going to get that Snitch first! Charles would earn Hufflepuff the hounour it had deserved and been deprived for too long - they had more team spirit than any team and everyone knew that. Leaning forwards to accelerate Charles went to the top left of the pitch his eyes looking aoround him in all directions in search of the Snitch. He tried to clear his mind of thought and concentrate all his efforts on finally getting to the flying ball that had so far managed to act invisible.

Ary gasped as Harmony successfully intercepted the pass. Gripping her broomhandle so tightly, she felt her fingernails dig into the leather of her gloves, almost punturing them, she whizzed towards the Hufflepuff girl. A bludger and an equally ferocious Maryn were on Harmony's tail. Soon the whole Gryffindor team would be on her. Ary smiled a little at the tought, but stopped quickly, as it hurt pulling her cold and chapped lips into a smile. Gritting her teeth instead, she pulled up her broom, so she was flying the same path as Harmony, just several feet above. Arywiel picked up a little speed and swooped suddenly, like an eagle, hoping to block the Hufflepuff's path. She span around once she was at the chaser's level, so she was looking at the girl hurtling towards her. Ary braced herself and zoomed at the Chaser head on, hand outstretched, waiting to grasp the rubber ball. Five feet, four feet, three feet... Ary could see Harmony's features clearly now. Two feet, Arywiel stretched her eager hand out a little more, greedy for the touch of the Quaffle. Once the two were a mere foot apart, Ary shot out her second hand, ready for the ball.

Branden swung wide and missed the bludger which wacked Lenora in the arm. "Sorry!" Branden called, feeling awful about his fail. Chasing after that bludger Branden knew he had to make it right in the best way. Harmony was currently in possession of the quaffle, and so she was the target. Finding the bludger not far away Branden swung and heard the satisfying sound of metal hitting wood.

AJ cursed once more as the small Hufflepuff girl intercepted AJ's pass to Lenora, receiving many dirty looks from professors that were sitting in the stands near AJ. McGonagall's glare was one of the fiercest of the bunch. Snape smirked, his eyes dancing with joy. AJ scowled and returned to his goals, hoping to finally succeed in something during the game. It seemed that while AJ might have done wonderfully during practices, he still ended up doing terribly in games. But AJ was confident he'd be the one to turn the game around. He just had to. AJ's spirits lifted slightly as he noticed a chaser headed for the Hufflepuff chaser and Branden attempting to hit a bludger at the same chaser. Chances are, she would not get the chance to score with two Gryffindor team members after her.

Things started to clam down a bit, and Scott realized that there really wasn't anything more to worry about than there had been previously. Sure, Hufflepuff had scored another goal, but it was only the second goal of the game, and they could score at least ten more before it really even started to not matter whether or not he caught the Snitch. Still, at this point in the game, he held the fate of Gryffindor in his hands. It was a scary feeling, and one that was just now starting to really set in. Scott had known that his job was important, but with each second that passed by he realized just how important his job of catching the Snitch was. Trying his best to just concentrate and continue his search, Scott took a deep breath and kept his eyes scanning the entire length of the pitch which keeping a constant eye on Charles as well, just in case he were to spot the Snitch first. Bryce smiled as he watched Branden attempt to defend Lenora and fail. He was simply happy to see that Branden wasn't unstoppable as it may have seemed. Perhaps Bryce just needed to keep cool whenever he made mistakes and he would continue to do well and improve on the dreadful start that he had made for the game.
Unfortunately, his smile soon turned into a frown as he watched Ashley get hit by a Bludger that she was unable to defend herself from. She seemed OK though, and so Bryce flew after the second Bludger. As he was approaching it, Branden sneaked in and made the first contact, sending it toward Harmony who was carrying the Quaffle. Bryce set off with a distinct determination to prevent Harmony from getting hit by the Bludger and losing the chance to score yet another goal for Hufflepuff. In the meantime, he saw Maryn nearby, and so he attempted to deflect the Bludger her way.

It all happened so fast. Right as she was swinging to defend herself against a bludger, it went zooming right past the tip of her bat. Ashley had swerved quickly out of the way but it still managed to hit her shoulder sending her weight jostling backwards. Cringing from the pain she grabbed onto her shoulder watching as Harmony scored another point for Hufflepuff. Cheering she grinned glancing over at Bryce as his game seemed to have improved. Her attention soon returned back to the game as she noticed the younger Gryffindor seeker already caught sight of the snitch. Quickly looking around, Ashley found a bludger and sped forward toward it. Swinging her bat hard against it, she sent it toward Scott hoping that it would hit him this time. Hufflepuff just had to catch that snitch.

Sophia couldn't believe how well the game was going. Within the spae of just a few minutes, there had been 2 goals for Hufflepuff-First Ivy, then Harmony had scored! Hufflepuff were now winning 30-0, however unless Charlie caught the snitch, they would still lose. There had been several attempts to steal and intercept the quaffle-first from Arywiel when Ivy was trying to score, then Harmony successfully intercepted AJs pass to Lenora, and then scored soon after! AJ now had the quaffle, but hadn't passed yet-she wondered who he'd pass too, and whether they'd end up flying all the way to her end of the pitch and try to score, to make it up to 30-10, though Sophia would try her best to defend the hoops.
She managed to dodge the bludger that Branden had hit towards her, and at the same time as that Harmony had sent a bludger back towards Ashley, who'd attempted to hit it towards Scott. Unfortunately the bludger hit Ashley, but then Bryce had hit a bludger successfully at Lenora. Branden hit a bludger towards Harmony, who had the quaffle at the time, but fortunately Bryce managed to defnd her and deflect it towards Maryn, who then tried to steal the quaffle from harmony, before she scored.
Then it looked as if Scott had seen the snitch, which wasn't too good. Hufflepuff'd done so well so far, it'd be a shame if they lost now. Perhaps Charlie would see the snitch too now, and end up catching it before Scott did. She'd just have to wait and see, and meanwhile watch out for any stray bludgers or the quaffle.

At first, she didn't think that the Quaffle was going to make it in time. The aim was quite good, and the speed not bad either, but it was a matter of whether it was good enough. It seemed to be though, because AJ didn't make enough contact with it to deflect the Quaffle's path towards the goals before it had already scored another 10 points for Hufflepuff. Wonderful! She looked round to find that Harmony had already moved into position to intercept AJ's pass - she was on top form today, and Ivy was really glad that she'd substituted her into the game and kept her there. She cheered as Harmony intercepted - casting her mind back she thought that might be the first successful interception of the game - and yelled at the younger Hufflepuff, for a moment unsure whether she was going to take the initiative to shoot. Ivy had every confidence in her. "Go for it, Harmony!" she shouted in encouragement.
They were rewarded by another goal! Ivy really hoped that Charlie would catch the Snitch for them now. She herself moved into position to intercept AJ's next pass - the game would go on until the Snitch was actually caught and he had to pass to someone eventually.

AJ looked around the Pitch, wondering who to pass the ball to. His eyes landed on Maryn Lively, the co-captain of the team. He tried to get over the stress of unsuccessfully guarding the goals and aimed for Maryn, who looked open. Just as the ball left his fingertips however, Ivy Tunstall, a chaser for Hufflepuff, positioned herself to intercept the pass. AJ groaned a bit, but he was confident Maryn would be able to catch the ball in time. He really wanted to win today’s game. Hufflepuff were only thirty points ahead, and if the Snitch was caught now, then at least Gryffindor would win.

Scott was soaring up above the Gryffindor goal posts by this time, and he watched as Hufflepuff scored yet a third goal. They were starting to make it seem easy, which worried him a bit. As he was watching AJ try to pass the Quaffle, his eye suddenly saw a glint of gold that flashed past the highest of the Gryffindor hoops. At first, he was skeptical since the Snitch had been highly elusive so far. However, as he followed it with his eyes, Scott became more and more sure that it really might be the Snitch! Could this be true? Was this just his mind playing another trick on him? Scott didn't wast much time trying to decide. Instead, he bolted off after the zipping golden ball. He figured that if Charles had recently seen his Wronski Feint that he might too be skeptical and think that Scott was playing another trick move. As he flew nearer thouth, Scott was more sure that this really was the Snitch. It was turning and flying in a wild sort of random pattern. Scott didn't have that much experience chasing a Snitch, and it was proving to be quite difficult. Still, he managed to at least keep it in his site as he tried to follow it. Too busy to even notice where Charles was at this point, Scott felt himself getting closer and closer. After what seemed like hours, Scott thought he might be close enough to grab it from midair! The noise from the crowd wasn't even registering in Scott's mind by this point, and all that he could see was the shining gold of the Snitch. With his one hand on his broom, Scott reached his other glove-covered hand out and closed his fingers, hoping that he had managed to secure a win for Gryffindor.
