Katy pulled the thin white sheets under her chin while curling up into a ball. Her blue eyes were shut closed and her mind hard at work trying to erase Myka from her mind. Why did she have to abandon the only source of happiness in her life? Couldn’t she just deal with all the rumors and labels? She could have just talked about it with Myka, not avoid the girl. The worst part was that Katy couldn’t get over the girl. Did Katy love the older Ravenclaw? Maybe. Myka was the only girl who could see past Katy's guise. Some people called it Gaydar, but that wasn't the case. Myka saw something different in her than all the other girls. Katy closed her eyes even more tight as a single tear drop escaped down her check. Rubbing the streak away with one quick motion she slowly began to stand up straight from her bed. Grabbing a pillow and bringing her knees up to her chest she buried her head into the case. Her mind began to play the why's game again. Why did she do this, or why did she still feel this. It's because she was in love with Myka Young.
Throwing the pillow on the floor, Katy pulled the covers aside. Her bare feet touched the cold floor causing her to jump slightly. Pulling on a pair of knee high socks, she than pulled on her favorite grey sweatshirt. Standing up from the bed Katy looked around the dormitory. Every fifth year Hufflepuff was sound asleep. Could it really be that late at night? Picking up the Revolutionary Girl Uthena manga from the bedside table, Katy also took out a huge sack of candy from under her bed. Yes it was strange to keep candy there, but Katy had a huge sweet tooth, and Candy also made her feel so much better. Quietly tiptoeing out of dorm room, she jumped at the sound of a cat hissing. Glaring at the orange and white cat, Katy opened the door and closed it silently. That cat always got on her nerves. It was like a watch dog or something. Shaking her head Katy headed down the stairs into the common room.
The fire was still roaring and it was completely empty. Taking a seat down on the couch, Katy stretched her legs out and opened up the manga to the first page. She was only reading for a very short time until something loud caught her attention.

"We need to talk." Lucy started as she busted open Kaegan's dorm room door. "Huh?" Kaegan exclaimed. "Ouch." He called when Lucy's wand filled the room with a bright light. Kaegan got up only to realize that he was wearing boxers. "A.." He started to call, but Lucy ran up to him and covered his mouth before he could finish. "Lighten up Kae. I'm only a girl you've known since second year. I think I can see you in your boxers without you screaming like a little girl, right?" Lucy asked. Kaegan nodded as Lucy released her hand from his mouth. Kaegan sat back down on his bed and covered himself up with a sheet. "So, you said you wanted to talk?" He asked now wide awake. Lucy nodded wearily as she took a seat next to Kaegan on his bed. He smiled as Lucy sat inches away from his face. "Yea." Lucy said calmly. Just then, she stared around the room. "Wait, a minute. Where are all the guys? There should be like four angry seventh year boys throwing pillows at me right now." Kaegan sighed as he handed Lucy as pillow. She held it tightly in her arms as she looked at him. "Yea, there on a midnight lake visit with their girlfriends to the best of my knowledge. I don't know how stupid they think the teachers are but whatever." He said calmly. "Yea.." Lucy replied. "So?" Kaegan asked waiting to hear why Lucy needed to talk to him so badly. "Oh yea." Lucy said trying to be calm. She took a deep breath. She had been thinking about this, she knew what to say. Lucy sighed. Show time.
"Ok, well as you know, we've been avoiding each other for the past couple of weeks.." She started. "I know.." Kaegan said not seeming too happy about it. Lucy sighed and started bluntly into his pretty deep blue eyes. "I've missed you." She said plainly. Kaegan sighed. "I've missed you too." He replied. Lucy smiled, but then she took another breath. She had to finish this conversation. She wouldn't let him talk her into saying something else and not getting her point across. Lucy stood up and started pacing. "Ok, well I've been thinking about that day and that accidental kiss. And I didn't really know what I was thinking when it happened, but I know now." She stopped and stared into his eyes. "After I left you on the stairs, I met this girl, Sierra. And I don't know how that second year girl is so smart, but she is." Lucy said as she started to babble. "I didn't think I liked you. I never did." She said, but Lucy couldn't continue. She just stopped and looked at Kaegan. "Well, thanks." He said sarcastically. "I'm not done." She said rolling her eyes. "Okay then. Continue." He responded. "Thank you." Lucy said before she started to pace again. "Well, I've thought about it and I do." She said as she stopped to look at him. Kaegan just stared back. "I do like you." She finished. Lucy stood there feeling like a complete moron as she gazed at Kaegan.
Lucy held her hands to her head. Kaegan didn't say a word. He just gazed at her. "Great. Now I feel like an idiot." Lucy said as she turned to leave the room. "Wait." Kaegan said standing up. "I've thought about it too. I like you too." Kaegan said soundly. He neared her. Lucy just smiled at Kaegan. He leaned in to kiss her, but Lucy turned her cheek. She held his hand. "Let's take our time. See where it leads. See if we become anything." She said smiling at Kaegan. Kaegan smiled. "Alright." He answered. Lucy looked back at the door. "I should probably go." She said nodding in that direction. Kaegan nodded. "Okay. Goodnight." He said kissing her cheek. Lucy started to turned, but Kaegan grabbed her shoulder. "Hey. I'll walk you out." He said calmly. Lucy eyed him smiling. "I can walk you out, can't I?" He asked returning her smile. Lucy started laughing a"Yes you can." Lucy waited for Kaegan to slip on a white tee-shirt and then she opened the door and started to head down the stairs. Then, Kaegan started being goofy old Kaegan and began to ruffle Lucy's hair and tickle her. Lucy giggled like a little girl. "Ahh. Kaegan stop." She said playfully. Lucy didn't really want him to stop and she didn't make it sound like she did. "You're such a wild boy you know that." Lucy said as she reached the last step. However, instead of seeing an empty Common Room, Kaegan and Lucy gazed at Katy.
"Um Katy, hi." Lucy said trying to act calm to the fifth year girl. Lucy didn't know Katy too well, but she knew her name and a few things about her. Lucy stared at Kaegan. This looked bad. Lucy was wearing a pink cami with a built in bra and silky pink pants with Kaegan's hand glued to her side. Lucy's hair was a mess from Kaegan's tickling and Kaegan was wearing solely his boxers with a rugged white tee-shirt. And Lucy's loud flirtatious comment didn't help the situation too well. Lucy smiled at Katy and then looked at Kaegan. "Um, I should probably head back up." He said uncomfortably. "Yes, you should." Lucy said with the same nervous air in her tone. "Um, bye. Bye, bye." He said oddly as he turned and walked back up the stairs. Lucy sighed and then walked towards the fifth year, Katy. Lucy headed over to Katy. "Um, we were just talking." She said trying to explain herself, but she just sighed. Lucy sat down in a leather chair. A lot of rumors had been going around about Katy and a Ravenclaw girl lately, but Lucy hated rumors. She didn't really pay much attention to what people thought about Katy. She seemed to be a nice person and that was all Lucy was concerned about. Lucy didn't care if she really was gay or not. Lucy wasn't one to judge people based on that. Especially since Lucy had several gay muggle friends. "So, what's up?" Lucy asked casually trying to get off of what Katy just witnessed.

Turning down the very top edge of page down Katy closed her book. Who would be up this late at night? Sitting up straighter from the couch, Katy rested on the top of the couch. Her ears were perked at the conversations. Yes it was bad to eves drop, but her curiosity was getting the best of her. By the sounds of the voices she could tell one of the Hufflepuffs was a girl, and the other a boy. Were girls allowed in the boy's dormitories? Or was it the other way around? Katy never knew because she would never even dare to go up to the boys dorms. Boys were messy and predictable. Wild boy? Laughing? Either something happened or they were extremely flirting. Quickly reopening the manga as the two reached the end of the stairs she continued on the bent down page. So far Uthena had lost her duel and had to give up Himemiya. Looking up lazily at the two, Katy's eyebrow rose slightly. They were both seventh years she had seen around and in their pajamas. Not to also mention the guy had his arm at the girl’s side. Were they going out? Some people would assume that the two were doing something, but there had to be some other reason. Not all people thought like that.
Katy watched as the boy said his goodbyes and headed back up the stairs. The girl denied that they were only talking and sat down. Turning the page of her manga Katy spoke. “I believe you. How can I make assumptions without knowing all the facts?” Folding the top edge of the page down again, Katy closed the book. Sitting up straight she gave the seventh year her full attention. “I’m fine…how about you?” she said sighing contently. What she had wanted to say was that her life was horrible and that the person she loved hated her. “Don’t worry. Your secret that one guy is safe with me.” Katy said with a reassuring smile. Picking up the white sack of candy, Katy scooted down the couch closer toward the seventh year. “I’m Katy Hudson, fifth year. Probably know my name already, but I like to make proper introductions,” she said holding out her left hand while setting the bag of candy down on the cushion seat next to her.
