"Cole!! Cole Waters wake up right now!!!" Cole's mother yelled outside of his door. In the room Cole opened his eyes trying to wake up. It was completely dark with the curtains covering all of his window. Standing up Cole walked over to his door and opened it. "Yes mother?" he said rubbing his eyes. Without warning his mother barged past him and with a flick of her wand moved all the curtains. Looking out the window the sun was beginning to set. "It's 7 p.m. What time did you come in last night?" Cole looked at the clock and then shook his head. "I don't know." he said. "You came in at 7. 7 a.m is what time I heard you rustling around to go to bed." Cole's mother said angrily. Cole turned around and walked to his closet. "Me and some friends were out." he said as he started going through the clothes. "Cole you shouldn't be out that late. You know that." his mother said caring. "Mom I'm old enough to take care of myself." Cole said looking her in the eyes. "I'm going out tonight. Theres a party at Zack's house. I'm going with Dawn." His mothers expressions changed completely and she smiled. "Well have fun." she said as she walked out of the room.
His mom liked it when he went out with Dawn. She felt like he was being safer and not being stupid. All Cole could do was let her believe that. Turning back to his closet Cole grabbed a black button up shirt. He threw it on his bed with a pair of jeans. As he walked to the bathroom he passed a picture of Dawn and him. Cole picked it up and looked at the two of them. They were smiling and holding each other. Just looking at the picture brought a smile to Cole's face. They had been together almost a year. It was the best year of Cole's life. They were inseparable and were almost always together. With her around Cole didn't get as easily agitated as usual. Cole looked at the picture one last time and put it down.
Walking into the bathroom Cole started the shower and 15 minutes later he emerged with a cloud of steam. Going into his room Cole turned on some music and got dressed. He rolled up the sleeves on his shirt and put on some black sneakers.
Cole looked at the clock to see what time it was. "7:45" Cole read out loud. The party started at 8 and Cole said he'd meet Dawn at her house at 7:50. Cole turned and walked out of his door. As he walked down the stairs he remembered when Zack invited him to the party. Zack is a fellow slytherin and his parents were going out of town for the weekend. Zack decided to throw a party and invited all of the Slytherins. Cole couldn't say no it would be a good time.
Walking though the kitchen Cole said good bye to his mom. "Tell Dawn I said hi." she said waving. "OK" he said walking to the fire place. Throwing some floo powder on the fire he stepped in. "Mcrogan Mannor." he said and he was off.

Dawn has been so busy lately her life seemed out of control. With the house settling after her father's death, Dawn was rewarded for all of her hard work in getting full control over the entire McGrogan establishment. The court summons seemed to be dwindling down, which left Dawn and Aden alone in the McGrogan manor accompanied by five houses elves. The house seemed clean, barely touched as Dawn and Aden sat at opposite ends of the long dining room table. Finishing up a roast dinner, Dawn set her fork and knife down on the side of her plate. Dabbing her lips softly with the hankercif at her lap, she reached out for her goblet of water in front of her. "Tonight I am going out with Cole." she spoke, as she set down her goblet, looking down the table to Aden. "Alright, I'm planning to have a few people over. When are you leaving?" Aden spoke in his normal strong tone to his sister. "Soon, I suppose." Dawn glanced at the massive decrective clock on the wall. It showed the time 7:46, as the second hand ticked away. "He said he would arrive here about 7:50." Dawn placed her hankerchif on the plate in front of her, as her house elf Fryance took her discarded incrimants away. "Have a good night, will ya." Dawn said with a smile to her brother. She didn't need to warn him about breaking anything. He was 16 and it was her and him for a good while. They were close and she knew she could trust him. "If anything happens with the damned Ministry, please just send Quinn out to get me or something... I can't stand them barging in. Knowing McObe he will find something to blackmail us again." Dawn shook her head with a small laugh as she pushed her tall back chair backward. "Quinn." Dawn agknowledged her favorite house elf of the five they had. "I am going upstairs to get ready. If Cole arrives, don't be alarmed if he comes upstairs to find me." she smiled as she gracefully walked out of the dining hall. Quinn was the eldest of the house elves and most trust worthy, but he seemed very uptight when another guy came into her life. Even though it was only Cole Waters- he still was on guard.
Cole was a regular at the McGrogan manor. They have been friends for ages, and have been in a relationship for nearly a year. Dawn hoped her house was a second home to him. That he could walk in, and sit and feel comfortable. When Dawn's father, Gregory was alive, he was always fond of Cole. Giving him a hard time of course- but that is what a father is suppost to do with his prized daughter. But since his death, Cole has been Dawn's support system. Aden was always there- but for the extra person out side of the family; that was Cole through and through.
Walking into the greeting hall, Dawn turned on the stairs and started on her way up. Dawn still lived on the thrid floor with Aden. The second floor was still owned by her father. She planed on going through his things as soon as the court system finished. So the second floor could be opened for more things. But what more could her and Aden need other than what they already had? Who knows. But the Teen's minds were wild, yet quite mature. They were sure to figure something spectacular out.
Finally arriving on the third floor, Dawn turned the dark door knob to her bedroom. The maroon walls shimmered with an orange sheen giving the room the most amazing aura. Crossing the massive suit to her closet, she opened up the sliding dark wood door to a wall full of clothes. Her and Cole were invited to a party. So, Dawn wanted to be comfortable yet, stylish as always, but still remembering she was 17. So, walking down the closet, she disguarded the suit coats, and dress suits she wore to court and walked down to where the old Dawn used to spend her time. Choosing a dark jean skirt, accompanied by a green halter which tied around her neck, giving herself an open back. Changing in a moment, she emerged from her closet with her long blond hair down over her shoulders. Looking happy and comfortable for once in a good while. Closing the closet. Dawn walked over to her bed, where she already had a pair of sandals picked out. Sitting on her bed putting on her sandals she looked to her bedside table. A picture of Dawn and Cole was placed in perfect view. It was an adorable picture, where Dawn and Cole were just goofing off in her room. The picture moved and you saw the two laughing together and truely smiling and meaning it. Being so busy she rarely smiled lately- and really hoped to see Cole soon.
Grining to herself she walked over to her bedside, grabbed her wand, and placed it in her purse. Being a Hogwarts graduate now- she had the ability to use her wand at will and freely outside of school. A ability she was thrilled to finally be given. While zippering up her purse, she heard hear door behind her open.

The walls spun around him as he went past many different fire places. Finally, with a jolt, Cole stopped and was standing in the fireplace of the dining room. Stepping out of the dirty pit, Cole brushed off his clothes trying to get rid of the left over ashes. Looking up he saw Aden sitting on the far end of the table in front of him. "Hello Aden," he said smiling, "How have you been?" Aden stood up and said "Good, how about yourself?" Walking over to Aden, Cole shook his hand and said "I can't complain. Is your sister upstairs?" Aden shook his head yes and laughed. "Look out for Quinn though," Aden said smiling, "He won't be to happy if you and Dawn are up there alone you know." Cole laughed and said "Thanks for the warning."
Walking out of the dining room, Cole headed towards the stairs. Just as he got to the first step Quinn jumped in front of him. "And where does this young man think he is going?" Quinn asked crossing his arms. Cole laughed and looked Quinn in the eyes. "Come on Quinn you know me. I've been coming here forever. I'm not just some common street boy. Let me pass." Cole said. Quinn looked at Cole for a second as if he was going to say know but unwillingly moved out of the way. "Thanks chap." Cole said as he made his way up the stairs.
It was just recently that Quinn had started to care that Cole came over. It's like ever since Dawn and Cole had become a couple Quinn just didn't want them to be alone. It must have been the father coming out in him, or at least that's what Cole told himself.
As he took the last couple of steps up the stairs a familiar aroma caught Cole's nose. It's was Dawn's room. The mixture of her different perfumes made his nose tingle. Walking up to the door, Cole opened it and stepped inside. Standing with her back to him was Dawn. With her green halter to on and jean skirt she was a sight for sore eyes. "Aw it looks like I missed the show." Cole said closing the door and walking up behind Dawn. Cole wrapped his arms around her waist and leaned his chin on her shoulder. "How have you been beautiful?" he said giving her a kiss on the neck.
Grabbing Dawn's hand Cole started walking out the door. "We don't want to be to late." he said smiling back at Dawn. As he walked with her down the stairs he couldn't help but stare at her. She was gorgeous in every way possible. Getting to the bottom of the steps Cole saw Quinn and winked at him. "Quinn almost didn't let me upstairs earlier." Cole said laughing. "I don't think he likes me anymore." Walking over to the fire place, Cole said goodbye to Aden and threw some floo powder into the fire. "The Colley Manor." Cole said stepping into the fire.
Coming out at Zack's house, Cole waited for Dawn to come out of the fire. Second later she appeared and Cole stuck his arm out to escort her into the party. "Madam." he said as she took his arm. Walking together they entered the main room to a sea of people dancing and goofing off. "Looks fun." Cole said smiling at Dawn.

Fiddling with her purse a few more seconds, she wondered to herself "is it cole or quinn?" She wasn't quite sure until she heard the voice. Smiling, with her back still to Cole she felt his finger tips skim across her waist, and his lips kiss the side of her neck. For a moment, a cool sensation ran down her spine as she turned to Cole, and kissed him on the lips. "Merely a few minutes late for the show. Sorry mister." she joked as Cole walked her toward the door. "I've missed you." she said as she walked down the stairs before him. The two of them seen each other quite often but the fact how much fun she had with Cole, and how much she cared for him- a moment without him she seemed discontent; as if something was missing. All of her life Cole has been there, so it was natural for her to feel that way. Throughts ran through her mind about the next year. He will be going to Hogwarts to finish his last year- and Dawn would be moving on to bigger and better things. She didn't want to forget Cole, but how could she?! That was definatly not an option. But Cole on the other hand would be into Quidditch- for the house team as well as his actual team. He would be busy; and with girls ont he sidelines.... mamma mia. Dawn knew well Cole would never cheat on her. Stricking for two facts. One, Cole was definatly a Slytherin but is one Dawn can and has always trusted. And Two, Who ever the girl was- Cole would know Dawn would murder her as well as himself if she found out.
Walking down the last few stairs, she looked up to him and smiled. He soon spoke up about Quinn giving him a hard time. Laughing she started. "Thought so... I think father told him something before he passed. Because he was never this burdensome before." Dawn smiled as Quinn bowed his head to her and Cole as they walked by toward the fireplace.
Aden was walking from the kitchen through the dinning room. "Bye you two. Now don't do anything I wouldn't do Cole." Aden spoke pointing at Cole. Dawn narrowed her eyes and blew Aden a kiss. "Don't wait up for me. But please, I don't want to come home to a burnt down house." Dawn warned as she turned to the Fireplace. Cole was gone in a puff of smoke. Grabbing a hand full of powder, she waited for the smoke to die down. Two seconds later, She found herself twisting into another fireplace and standing on her two feet again.
A farmilar hand reached out in front of her as she grabbed it, then moved her arm to grab Cole's arm. "Ah more comfortable." she grinned. Whiping off soem suit on her skirt, her and Cole walked into the next room. Music was erupting from the ceiling where a spell was cast to grow music as more people entered the room. Zach Colley's house was a wonderful party house. Dozen's of people were standing and gawking, as well as sitting and coversating. Some were dancing, and there were quite a few ordering drinkings from the house elves which scurried from person to person. Hmming out loud, Dawn liked the song that was playing. In the middle of the floor she could see a boy with dark brown hair dancing with a group. Walking up to him, Dawn pulled the back of his shirt to greet him. "Hey There Kid!" She tried to shout over the music. "Aww Hey you two! Dawn looking gorgeous. Cole looking... alright but you will do." Zach laughed as he bent over and patted his good friend Cole on the back. Zach was always a joker. He always planned parties, and they were actually good ones. Pulling Cole away a few feet, Dawn let go and faced him. Putting her arms around his neck, she looked into his eyes, that seemed a little darker in the dim party light. Dawn with a few strands of hair in her face, looked though them at Cole. Smiling for a good while, she missed how she felt when she was with him. Kissing him again, she began dancing to the beat of the drums in the music that was playing.

Walking to the middle of the dance floor with Dawn, Cole noticed Zack dancing. Laughing at Zack's comment Cole said "You've always been jealous of my style haven't you?" Cole laughed and patted Zack on the back. The floor was packed with people dancing. The room smelled like a mixture of sweat and alcohol. Cole looked around at the familiar faces he was used to seeing in the common room. Cole felt Dawn pulling him away from Zack so he followed her a couple feet and smiled as she turned around and wrapped her arms around his neck. Looking into her green eyes Cole smiled and said "I missed those eyes." Kissing Dawn back Cole could feel his entire body tingle as her lips touched his. Putting his forehead on Dawns, Cole began dancing with her to the music.
As they danced the room became more crowded. People kept pouring in and house elves were scurrying around taking drink orders. Moving his hips back and forth with Dawns, Cole held his hands on her hips and pulled her close to him. After a minute a house elf came and asked what they wanted to drink. "I'll take a double shot of fire whiskey. What do you want sweetheart?" Cole said smiling at Dawn. Dawn ordered her drink and they continued to dance. Neither Cole or Dawn were huge drinkers but when they were at a party they just couldn't resist. Kissing Dawn another time Cole spotted a house elf walking by with shots on a tray. Reaching out and grabbing one Cole said "I'll take this while I'm waiting for mine." Laughing he downed the shot and put the glass back on the tray.
A couple more songs went by and Cole and Dawn continued to dance. Looking into Dawn's eyes Cole smiled widely. "You look incredible tonight." Cole said. Just then a slow song came on. "May I have this dance?" Cole said smiling at Dawn. Putting his hands on her waist, he felt Dawn's head lay on his shoulder. As they dance Cole couldn't help but think of how happy he was. He had found the girl that made him happy no matter what. They girl that excepts him for who he was but wasn't afraid to stand up to him either. She was what he had wanted all along but was afraid to look for. As the song ended Cole kissed Dawn and whispered in her ear "Let's go sit down somewhere."
Taking Dawn by the hand, Cole walked her into the living room. Sitting in chairs and couches were tons of different people. Cole saw a couple of people he knew and said hi. Sitting in the corner were a couple of first and second years. One of the girls in the corner yelled "Hi Cole." and waved. Cole raised an eyebrow and ignored the girl. "Do you know her?" he asked dawn laughing. Walking over to an empty couch Cole over heard some fifth year girls talking. "She's so lucky. Cole's so cute." one of them said. Cole shook his head and say down on the couch. Patting his hand next to him he smiled and said to Dawn "I saved you a seat."

Dancing close to Cole, Dawn was happy once again. One of the several house elves came by the two and asked for a drink. Cole ordered Firewhiskey- a favorite of the two, but Dawn was feeling something else this night. "A glass of cranberry and Red Currant Rum." The house elf nodded towards the couple and then ran off to the kitchen. Turning back to Cole, she continued to dance, Moving her hips back and forth with Cole. A bunch of her friends were hanging out and having fun. It was much needed in these days. A few people strode by the two waving and starting short conversation. Dawn was going to miss Hogwarts. It was a pain to go there, to see people you loathed to interact with- but that is just like any school. You must grin and bear it. Dawn took a lot from Hogwarts. Her father was an alumni and also her own personal teacher whom taught her as well. The wretched school was like a third home to her. But she was sure- once her life started picking up pace that she wouldn't miss Hogwarts anymore. Plus, while Aden was gone- she would have both of their houses free to herself for several months. What more could a girl ask for?!
A small pale elf walked by carring a tray of shots. Feeling Cole's hand lift off of Dawn, she saw him grab a shot. Downing it quickly she gave him a grin. "Lets not have another problem like what happened at my last party. Alright, Buddy." she said shaking her head as she smelt the whiskey. The fast pace music started to slow down into a slow song. Stepping back from Cole, he asked her for a dance. Rolling her eyes she took his hand. He was always on to flatter. He acted silly which made Dawn not seem so uptight, and thats why she loved being with him. Placing her arms delicately on his shoulders, she rested her head next to his. Inhaling, she smelt a mix of his colone and whiskey. The colone was the scent she bought him before. She knew it was his favorite; and it soon became hers as well. Playing with the back of Cole's hair, with her fingertips Cole whispered into Dawn's ear. Lifting her head slightly to meet his eyes, she nodded as he lead her into the other room.
As they walked through the house, the lights all around them dimed, as if it was on a 'mood setting'. Walking into the living room, a few people were scattered about. Dawn waved at her friend Jack who sat along side his buddy Timothee. They were graduates just like Dawn; and she found it comfortable to see more older faces. "Dawn Lynn, How have you been?" Jack, the a tall blond friend of hers stood up and gave her a hug. "I've been fine, How's your summer been?" Dawn greeted with a grin, as she kept hold of Cole's hand, and held him tight so he would stop walking away. "I've been well, just working for the pops. Too much work I'd say." Jack paused for a moment and spoke again. "You look gorgeous tonight, Dawn. Really you do." Jack was a sincere guy once you got to know him. He was known by many other houses as a flirt, but a joker. He was close with Leland, her other best guy friend. And Leland was a known 'player'. "Well thank you. " Dawn smiled. "We'll I guess I'll see you around." she said as she turned and walked away with Cole. Rubbing her thumb over his, Cole let go and sat down on a couch. Over hearing a girl's voice in the corner greeting Cole; Dawn tried to block it out. She didn't recognize the tone, so the girl wasn't important at all. Leaning into Dawn he asked if she knew the girl. "Bloody hell." Dawn sqwaked. "I know of her... she isn't important. New Money." Dawn finished with her back still toward the girl. Sitting down next to Cole. She put her legs over his lap. Taking his hand, she rested it over her legs as she ran her fingers over his knuckles.
The room was full of low murmers and voices. But Dawn didn't care. A moment later, the house elf who took their drinks a several minutes previous appeared in front of the two. "About time." she said with an attitude as she reached for her drink. "Master Dawn, I am sorry. A lot to do, a lot to do." The elf worriedly repeated itself as he bowed its head after Cole took his two shots and scurred away. Grinning she took a sip of her deep maroon drink, and set it beside her. Still with her left hand, she insisted on playing with the back of Cole's hand. It seemed much like a habit; a routine these days.

Cole stopped with Dawn as a boy called her name. Looking over Cole recognized Jack as he gave Dawn a hug. Knowing Jack as a flirt, Cole wasn't overjoyed to see him around Dawn. Instinctively, Cole wrapped his arms around Dawn's waist and rested his head on her shoulder. He wasn't one to get jealous, but he took every opportunity he could to show other guys that Dawn was his. Smirking, Cole said "Hey Jack'o." Jack smiled back uneasily. When Dawn said bye, Cole walked her over to the couch and sat down with her.
Moments later the house elf showed up with their drinks. "Well I don't mind if I do." Cole said grabbing the drinks. Pouring one of the shots down his throat Cole shook his head and laughed. "That's good stuff." he said smiling at Dawn. Cole could feel the fire whiskey warming up as it ran down his throat into his stomach. The alcohol was starting to take effect and Cole could feel his head getting lighter. Feeling Dawn play with the back of his hand, Cole smiled and kissed her on her for-head. "This is a pretty nice party." he said looking around at the other guests. The room was dim. Just then Cole felt liquid hit him in the face. Instantly standing up Cole looked around to see what was going on. Getting up off the floor was a fourth year Cole didn't know.
"I'm so sorry Cole." the boy said. Cole looked around to see the damage. Dawn's shirt was drenched in water and Cole's face was soaked. Cole's eyes flamed with rage as he grabbed the boy by his collar. "You need to be more careful next time you git." he said throwing the boy back to the ground. Cole was tempted to hit him but for some reason held back. "Get out of my sight." Cole said sitting back down. Wiping his face off with his shirt Cole turned to Dawn. "Are you ok?" he asked looking at her soaked shirt. Cole knew she was but it was just a reaction to ask her. Dawn was a tough girl and a little water wasn't going to hurt her.
"What a git." Cole said angrily. Leaning back into the couch, Cole took the other shot. Cole closed his eyes for a second and listened to the people around him. They all talked so loud. The whispers and murmurs turned into yells that everyone could hear. Opening his eyes Cole grabbed Dawn's hand. "Let's go for a walk." he said standing up and walking to wards the back door. Stepping outside Cole saw a couple on a bench snogging. "Well isn't that beautiful." Cole said walking away to wards the sidewalk.

Leaning over, Dawn picked up her drink again and took a few sips. Holding it in her hand she rested it on her leg. Cole leaned over and kissed her on the forhead. Closing her eyes as he did so, she inhaled with a smile. As he leaned away, in a split second Dawn felt a rush of cold water. Kicking her legs up from Cole's lap, they hit the ground as she whiped water off of her face. "What in Bloody Hell.." she groaned as she looked up. Some child from the Werner family, layed on the ground. He started to apologize to Cole. Dawn exhaled her anger, as she set her drink down and went for her purse. She was glad to have her wand, and be allowed to use it. Slipping the ebony rod brod from her purse, she tapped her shoulders as the spell started to dry her clothes to comfortablility. Cole was yelling at the boy as she finished. Watching him, she waiting for him to stop. He threw the boy away as he shouted, "Get out of my sight." he turned to get away as Cole sat down. Turning toward her, he asked if she was alright. "Yea, I'm fine." she said with her wand out. Tapping Cole on the shoulders as well, he dried up in a matter of seconds. "It's nice being close to someone with a wand, eh?" she smiled as Cole took her hand. Putting her wand back in her puse, she followed Cole outside. It was a comfortable summer night. The time was about 9:30 now, and it was completely dark. Of course, being on Zach's property there were lights so you could see- but the sky was bright with stars and Dawn was enthralled in them. The mild temperature caressed their skin as they stepped outside. A small bit of humidity covered them both as they walked past a couple snogging. Cole made a comment as Dawn merely shook her head and walked on with him. "Gorgeous night, aye?" Dawn said as she leaded Cole down a few stairs to the courtyard of the Colley Manor. It was smaller than Dawn's but, adorable just the same. You could tell it was done completely by a woman. Another bench was placed in the center of a stone walkway. Walking towards it, she sat down and crossed her knees. "I've missed you." Dawn said calmly. "Really, these past few weeks with my Court dates, meetings, summons, lessons, Ga...everything has been so hectic. And when I saw you I was always tempered and it was short living and I'm sorry." she seemed to spit out the apology without a breath as she looked at Cole. Dawn wasn't 'in school dawn' when she was with Cole. She was comfortable with him. She didn't need to play with 'Queen' card all the time. She could be civil, relaxed, and actually show more emotion than merely- superiority, which she did continuously in school. (( sorry its short and weak.... I'll hopefully do better next time. And, yea I did die for a few days ;D Sorry about that too! ))

Cole followed Dawn along the stone pathway. Holding onto her hand Cole looked at the ground as they walked. His mind had so many things on it but all of them seemed to do with Dawn. His fears, his happiness, his jealousy, everything had to do with the woman who had taken control of his life. The thing was she hadn't taken control, Cole gave her control. He had no problem letting his whole life revolve around Dawn. She had always been there for him and now with her as his girlfriend everything seemed easier. Following Dawn to the bench, Cole sat down next to her and looked up at the sky. The stars glimmered in the darkness. As Dawn began to talk, Cole looked at her. She looked like an angel. "I've missed you to." Cole said wrapping his arm around Dawn. He could tell by the way she was speaking that she was letting her guard down. Being with her for such a long time, Cole could always tell when Dawn was being herself. This Dawn was the one that Cole liked the most. As she talked, Cole couldn't help but look into her eye's. It seemed like he could get lost for day's in the deepness of them. When she finished her sentence Cole just smiled and looked at her. "You have nothing to be sorry for babe." he said looking into her eyes. Leaning in Cole kissed her gently on the lips. As he felt her lips touch his, Cole realized exactly what had happened to him. Cole was falling in love. Sitting back on the bench, Cole just looked at Dawn as thoughts raced across his mind. That's the reason Cole has always been so protective, so jealous, so caring. Dawn was the one thing in his life that seemed to be perfect. Everything seemed to be right with her and she always made Cole feel comfortable. Now that he had finally realized it should he tell her? Reaching over Cole pulled Dawn against him and sat there with his chin on her head. "I understand everything you've been going through." he said comforting her. "I want you to know that I'll always be here for you Dawn. Always." ((That really really sucked. I'm so sorry. ))

The night rolled on as the music from the house began to boom. The bass seemed to shake the ground, which seemed to startle Dawn. Looking toward the house, the lights were low as normal and no one seemed to notice the noise. And again, the ground seemed to boom. Looking up- the stars seemed farther away, and very hard to see. A dark cloud seemed to fall over the manor and a stormed seemed to be brewing. Looking at Cole, she grinned. She was always a fan of storms. It seemed to calm her down. A cool breeze, with what seemed like tears from the sky expelled all over the ground seemed serene to her. Something else crying instead of her; she figured. Rain drops didn't fall yet, but thunder rolled over the manor in a moment. Looking at Cole, he kissed her softly on her lips. Closing her eyes gently she kissed him back. Slowly pulling away she smiled still with her eyes closed. She tried to hold onto the moment for as long as she could. Opening her eyes slowly she looked at him as he pulled her closer to him, and spoke to her. Listening intently she sighed and replied, "I know. You've always have been there." she paused, "Thank you, forever and always."
A few rain drops fell from the sky as they caressed her bare legs. The heat from the summer seemed to almost make the rain drops vanish as they hit the cement. Dissolving in a fizz. The heat rising from the ground met the cool drops and an equilibrium was found between the two. And that level seemed to be exactly where Dawn and Cole were. The rain drops seemed to fall heavier and faster on the two. Looking to the house, Dawn saw the couple they viewed a few minutes previous dart into the house. Looking up at Cole, she held him in place. She didn't want to escape the storm, she wanted to withstand it; with him and only him. A few garden lights showed the millions of rain drops fall from the sky. A dance that only Cole and her could see from where they were sitting. A perfect front row seat to a spectacular array of movement and feeling.
The drops seemed massive as they plopped down on her head, soaking her hair into a stringy mess. Her clothes seemed to get even more drenched, from before when the imbecile kid threw water on the two, but this time she didn't mind in the least. Leaning back on Cole she rested the back of her head on his shoulder as she looked off into the yard with him. "I know this sounds very cliche'..." she giggled calmly, but still went on. "... but I wouldn't picture myself this content, this happy, this...... Me; with anyone else."
She seemed to drag out it meaning every word, every syllable, every consonant and vowel she said. Turning to Cole, with water dripping down her face. She looked at him. His skin seemed to be just as moist as hers. His dark hair plastered to his head from the massive drops. Smiling the smile, she would only ever show to him; she kissed him with her entire heart and soul. With her hand on the side of his chin feeling rain drops roll off his face onto her hand, it felt like she felt what he felt. She knew he was someone special; very special. Someone once in a lifetime. She knew he felt it too. Just by him sitting there she understood their hearts agreeed. It hit her. She loved him.

Cole sat on the bench holding Dawn against him. The moment seemed perfect. The two of them sat there in the night entangled with each others emotions. It was as if they shared a soul. Just then it started to rain. The drops fell heavy on Cole's head and soaked his clothes. Feeling Dawn hold on to him tighter he knew she wanted to stay outside. She loved the rain. Cole kept his arms wrapped around the blonde beauty that sat against him. He wouldn't let her go for the world.
Watching the rain fall seemed so relaxing. It was as if there were no worries, ever. Looking off into the yard, Cole heard Dawn begin to speak. What she said took over Cole's body. The words just rolled off of her tongue and into Cole's heart. He had never felt this moved by anything anyone else had ever said. "That doesn't sound cliche at all," Cole said smiling, "It sounds great."
As Dawn turned around Cole looked into her emerald eyes. Her face glimmered as the light reflected off of the water on her skin. As she leaned in and kissed him Cole felt his whole body urge towards her. He kissed her back using all of his passion, emotion, and love. It was the most fabulous moment in his whole life. Cole put his hand on her face and held her close as he kissed her. Pulling away slowly he looked into her eyes. He could tell she felt the same way that he did.
Cole just sat there for a couple of minutes staring at Dawn. Time seemed to be standing still in this Serene moment. Cole didn't know what to do. He loved her, he couldn't live without her, but he didn't know how to tell her. Did he just tell her straight up? Did he ease into it. How would he know if she felt the exact same way? Finally lightning pieced the darkness and snapped Cole back into reality. "Let's get out of here." he said standing up.
Cole held Dawn's hand as he walked her towards the fire inside. As he walked he couldn't help but feel like he blew it. That was the perfect moment to tell her exactly how he felt and he didn't. Walking through the crowd Cole ignored the people trying to talk to him and headed straight to the fire. When they got there he took Dawn by both hands. He had to let it out, he couldn't stand it any longer. "I love you Dawn." he said looking at her deeply. "I love you more than I ever thought I could love someone. I always will. I want to be by your side. I want to be your stone pillar to lean on. I love you."

Stuck in a moment that you would want to hold on to forever. Your mind racing, your heart pounding, but you are perfectly content to be where you are with who you are with. Nothing could ruin the moment. Not even if the world ended; you could still die happy. That state of utopia was where Dawn was, seated on the bench with Cole in the middle of a storm. Teen-age love- grown stronger than ever. It wasn't just Teen-age love anymore, these two knew what to do. They understood with love came hardships, fights, quarrels, and above all heartache. But they both were willing to take that change. They two of them together have been though so much it seemed like they learned about life ten times over but still had so much to learn. People are stubborn and will only learn about life through pain. Dawn and Cole have been through so much pain-- they knew how to handle situations. They learned from each other and constantly continue to. As long as they were in each other's lives; life would be worth willing to bare the hardships. Because they had each other and in their hearts they understood that neither of them were going to leave anytime soon. They had so much to do, so much to learn together that in their minds, whether it was their current thought of tucked away- they had their whole lives ahead of them.
As they both finished their kiss they sat silent for awhile. It seemed like a moment in both of their minds. Dawn's mind was full of joy. She was screaming at Cole, "After all of these years of being friends, and after this single year of being the closest to you I have ever been. I have fallen for you! Fallen head over heals. Deeply, intolerably, madly in Love with you!" But those single thoughts only were trapped in her mind. She couldn't speak. She needed something to open her. She has never been afraid to speak her mind to Cole, of all people- not him. But this time she felt like he needed to make the first move. Dawn was a Dependant person after all. Underneath the hard exterior she allowed Cole to see her heart. A friend heart, and a lover's heart. But now, another cover was exposed. She was not as independent as she thought. This was new to her. She depended on the love from Cole to get her by. The love from him got her through so many years of pain. The love from him got her where she was and is today. But did he feel the same? Of course he did! But would he let her know? As far as Dawn knew, he didn't keep secrets from her. Well, it was hard keeping secrets from a McGrogan on one hand- but Dawn was a totally different story.
Cole took Dawn by the hand and lead her inside. There was silence between the two and she fell scared. Was she expelling too much emotion? Did she give herself up to someone who didn't feel the same? How could she lie to make this all seem like a joke? She couldn't be vulnerable. She wouldn't be vulnerable. The two walked inside the house hand in hand. Walking past groups they pulled on Dawn's free hand to pull her back. "A moment." She shot as she kept a strong hold of Cole's hand and followed him into the greeting room in which they arrived. The fireplace was just as they left it. Cole stopped abruptly and turned to Dawn.
Speaking the words she wanted to hear she seemed to melt. They have been friends since they were toddlers, and together for almost a year. " I love you" -Cole spoke. His charming voice echoed through her mind. All of her defensive thoughts seemed to be pushed away back into their boxes to let room for such a massive meaningful phrase. Tightening her grip, Dawn's eyes seemed to soften as they looked into Cole's dark yet comforting eyes.
"I Love you, too." she said in her normal tone. She left it as that. She couldn't speak. For once Dawn Lynn McGrogan was speechless. She was in love with someone worth while. Someone whom she could trust. Someone who she knew would always be there for her. She was finally whole. Jumping into Cole's arms she wrapped her arms around his shoulders and neck as she buried her head in his shirt. "I love you." she whispered softly into his ear as she kissed him again. Holding on to him for a good while, she whispered into his ear again. "Hold on." And in that moment, Dawn appareted onto the McGrogan Manor front porch. Still holding onto Cole, Dawn stayed there.

"I love you too." Those words echoed through Cole's mind as he stood there staring at the woman who made him whole. He had found it, the state everyone looked for. The search was over, he had found his prize, his other half. The seconds ticked away slowly as Cole tried to catch his breath. He wasn't sure what to say, he didn't have anything to say. For once he finally let it all out, he finally followed his emotions and put everything fully into the light. It was the best feeling he had ever had in his life. Feeling Dawn wrap her arms around his neck, Cole put his arms around her waist and pulled her against him as tight as he could. Feeling her head buried into his chest Cole rested his chin on the top of her head. He felt like he was in heaven.
Feeling her head lift up he moved his chin and felt her put her lips next to his ears. "I love you." she said softly. He could feel the hairs on the back of his neck raise up. "I love you." he responded happily. Feeling Dawn's lips against his, Cole kissed her back then pulled away looking into her eyes. "Hold on." she said. Suddenly Cole felt as if his body was being squeezed through a tube. Trying to catch his breath he felt his feet hit the ground. The sensation was one that Cole had become use to. Standing on the front porch holding Dawn, Cole sighed. "What a night." he said smiling at Dawn.
Cole stared out onto the property as he stood there still holding Dawn. He never wanted to let her go. He wished he could stay in that moment forever, just the two of them. Stepping Back he grabbed one of her hands. "Let's go inside." he said walking towards the door.
Stepping inside the manor, Cole instantly noticed Aden and some people sitting in the living room. "Hey." Cole said nodding his head to Aden. Turning to Dawn he whispered "I forgot he had friends over. Let's leave them alone." Turning back to the guest Cole waved and said "Were just gonna go upstairs." Cole turned and walked towards the stairs. Just then Quinn came out of nowhere with a mop and an angry expression on his face. "You're dripping on my clean floor." Quinn said angrily. Looking down Cole noticed a puddle underneath of him. He had forgotten he was soaking wet from the rain. "Oops." Cole said stepping away from the puddle. "Ill go dry off." he said to Quinn smiling. Still holding Dawn's hand Cole led her up the steps to her room. He could tell Quinn wasn't happy.
Walking up to the door, Cole turned around and looked at Dawn. "You look great." he said smiling. He walked into the room and layed down stomach first on her bed. He was exhausted. His body was shutting down, but his mind continued to work. He couldn't stop thinking about Dawn. He didn't want to sleep ever, he just wanted to be with her. She was what he wanted.

For a moment, Dawn and Cole stood there entangled, wrapped in each other on her porch. Cole was first to pull away as he took her hand and lead her inside. The greeting doors of the McGrogan Manor were extravagant just like the family and their history. Two grand dark mahogany wood doors, with the McGrogan family crest ironed on the heart. Cole's thick hands grabbed the aged doorknob and turned it as both door swung open as a crack of thunder erupted from behind them. Turning and looking over the hill as Cole lead her inside, and saw the several lightening bolts split the dark sky, but her view was soon blocked off as the doors closed behind her. Still grasped onto Cole's hand, she ran her thumb over his. "For a summer storm this is getting quite heavy." she spoke as Dawn saw a figure stand up in a side room. Rememebering Aden was having a few friends over Dawn laughed to herself. "'Ello guys." Dawn greeted as Aden walked into the main hall. "What in bloody name have you two been up to?" Aden questioned as he motioned to the floor below them were a puddle of water seemed to be forming. And in that instance, Quinn and Fryance both burst through the kitchen doors with two mops. Quinn went off on Cole about getting water all over the floor. And when he was done, he looked over at Cole's said and greeted Dawn with a bow. "Master Dawn, Hope you had a lovely night." Nodding her head at Quinn she smiled. "Yes. Cole might be spending the night." Dawn glanced at Cole. "At his decision. So, please set out some dry clothes for his choosing so he could be comfortable." Quinn glared at Cole as Fryance jumped into the conversation. " 'Aster Dawn, I will take that oop'on me self. Have a 'oolovelay stay here sir 'Aters." Fryance spoke as he scurried off with his mop to do his next chore.
"So, you will be staying over?" Aden spoke looking at Cole. "Well, I might have a few of my friends stay over as well. I don't want to be woken up by you two in the middle of the night.." "ADEN!" Dawn glared. He begain to laugh and a grin curled the side of his lips. "I'm kidding sister, relax. Have fun dealing with Quinn all night, Cole. Need me, I'll be around with Charlie and Gram." Aden walked back into the living room as Dawn looked at Cole, at then he started leading her upstairs.
Moments later, The door to Dawn's 3rd floor loft was opened and Cole let go of her hand. He went straight for her bed, and collapsed. "No No No No No sir..." Dawn said half laughing as she ran after him and pulled him off. "You need to get dry before you lay on my bed!" She laughed as she unbuttoned the top button of his black shirt. Walking over to her closet, Dawn was looking for something to change into. Opening the door, she disappeared in her walk in closet. All you could hear was her sorting through hangers and boxes and opening and closing several doors. Mumbling came from the closet as if she was asking Cole a question. Silence paused the two. "COLE!?" Dawn yelled as she walked to the closet door from the inside. "Open the door, Fryance is there." Dawn smiled as nearly a moment after a knock hit her bedroom door.

"But I'm so tired" Cole said as he felt Dawn grab him and lift him up. He was completely soaked from head to foot. There was a wet spot on her bed where Cole had been laying. Laughing Cole turned and looked into Dawn's eyes. He put his hands on her waist as she unbuttoned the top button on his shirt. Smiling Cole said "Are you trying to Seduce me Dawn?" Laughing Cole leaned in and kissed her. He loved feeling her lips on his. When Dawn walked into her closet Cole unbuttoned the rest of his shirt. Taking it off he threw it on the floor next to the door. As Dawn rustled through the closet Cole looked around her room. Picking up a picture Cole looked at it as he saw himself grab Dawn by the waist and throw her onto her bed. Smiling he put the picture back down.
Suddenly Cole heard a thump from the closet. "What are you doing in there?" Cole asked walking towards the commotion. Just then he heard Dawn say Frayance was about to come in. Just then there was a knock on the door. "I hate it when she does that." Cole said walking towards the door. Opening it up Cole looked down at the House elf holding a pile of clothes. "These are some of Master Aden's clothes." the elf said holding them up. "Thanks." Cole said grabbing them then shutting the door.
Laying the clothes down on the bed, Cole unfolded them to see what they were. It was a black wife beater and black pajama pants. Taking off his wet clothes, Cole put on the pajamas and threw his other clothes on the floor with his shirt. Just then Cole thought about spending the night at Dawn's. It wasn't the first time he had done so but for some reason every time he did he felt so excited. Excited at the fact he would wake up with Dawn right there. He wouldn't have to end the night. Suddenly it hit him, he hadn't told his mom he was staying. He thought about it for a second then decided not to worry about it.
Walking over to the closet Cole knocked on the door. "I'm coming in, I hope you're decent. Well actually I don't but you know what I mean." Cole said opening the door. Stepping into there was a little bit of light. "Where are you?" Cole asked trying to adjust his eyes.

Turning and walking back into the depths of her closet she started to find something to wear. Something comfortable. Dawn was quite the materialistic girl. She needed to wear the best, she needed to look the best; but little did the general public know, at the McGrogan Manor things were different. Everything was 100% the best that money could buy, so anything she needed was at her finger tips. And Unlike Hogwarts where she had to rotate uniforms and class cloaks and such, at home she could wear what ever she felt the need for. But the fun part about Dawn and Cole's relationship was that, she could look completely grungy and dirty and Cole would still look at her in the same loving way. She wasn't used to that, but adored it all in the same. Opening and closing several doors Dawn found herself in a separate closet full of bed attire in array of colors, fashions, and thicknesses of warmth. Walking toward a shelf she picked out a soft pair of white shorts and a black teeshirt. Both nothing fancy but, completely comfortable. Slipping her wet clothes off, she dressed privately. Hearing a voice a few rooms away, she knew it was Cole babbling about something and that he was coming to find her. Smiling, she walked over to her light and turned it off. She decided to play a game.
Not one of her five hour elves ever ventured into her closet. Dawn was the only one who actually knew where everything had to go, and where it was. Plus, with the several different rooms, double closets, and secret doors; only a pro would find their way around. And that was Dawn, since she was the one who designed the forever closet space. Hearing the door beside her open she smiled as she watched Cole walk in. Slamming the door behind him, she stood directly at the door, which was right behind him. She played with his senses for a moment. She allowed his eyes adjust to the darkness. Softy, she blew on his neck arousing his sense of touch. Giving him a moment to catch the attention he was getting she leaned in and kissed him where she was blowing cool hair right below his hair line. Laughing, she grabbed his hand. "Lets get out of here and get comfortable." she opened up the door and lead him out of her fortress.
Walking back into her bedroom, Dawn closed the closet door behind Cole. "If I really wanted to confuse you, I could lock you in there. I'm sure it would take you days to find your way out." she looked at him, as if she had a good idea in her hands. "Maybe if you do me wrong, you will be banished!" she laughed. The room was vibrant, just like her personality. Dawn's loft was her domain. A room with red walls, which seemed to be aged with a brown sponged paint over top. The wood work in her room on her dresser, poster bed, side tables, and trim on her walls were extravagant. Mood lighting was set, as well as an burnt orange plush couch up against the wall. Paintings Dawn made as well as bough were displayed on the walls. Also, a few shelves full of books, trinkets, and a few forbidden items she was deemed "from the family as a gift", which was the only way possible she was allowed to claim them as her own.
Walking over to her bed, she lay ed on her stomach with her legs bent at the knee. She softy kicked her legs, merely as a motion to do for the hell of it- no real reason. Reaching over to the base of her bed, she grabbed her purse. Opening it she found her wand. "So would you like something to drink?" she asked Cole. Pushing her purse off the bed a tray appeared in front of her. A pitched of Tea, Decaffeinated Coffee, and Hot Chocolate appeared with two cups, spoons, and saucers.

Hearing the door slam behind him, Cole sharpened his senses. He was used to playing games like this with Dawn. Both of them were immature alot so when the opportunity aroused to act like a 3 year old both of them would leap at it. Putting his hands out in front of him, Cole began to feel his way forward trying to get a sense of where to go. Just then he felt a cool breeze on the back of his neck. "Hello sweetheart." Cole said laughing. He knew Dawn was the reason he felt the breeze. Then he felt her lips on the back of his neck. Turning around Cole grabbed Dawn by the waist and picked her up. "I think I found someone in your closet Dawn." he yelled playing. Putting her down on he kissed her on the forehead.
Walking out into the room, Cole stretched out his arms in exhaustion. Even with the 12 hours of sleep Cole had gotten the night before, this night had worn him out. Following Dawn to the bed he lay down on his side facing her. "I would love something to drink." Cole said smiling at Dawn. As she wiped up some hot coco and tea Cole stared at her. She looked magnificent. No matter what she was doing. Cole found himself very often just starring at her beauty. Grabbing a cup of coco, Cole took a sip. "Very good. Your like a little house wife." Cole said laughing as he drank some more of the coco. Sitting up Cole put his hand on Dawns back. Rubbing her back, Cole looked around the room. It was so colorful, not like his which was black and white.
Cole rolled off the bed and stood up looking around. Just then a silver book caught his eye on her shelf. "Oh my, I haven't seen this in forever." Cole said walking over and picking it up. It was a picture album that Cole's mom had made for Dawn around 7 years ago. Sitting down on the bed Cole looked at the front cover. The words on the front moved like waves. They said "Dawn McGrogan." The picture on the front was of Dawn in a too-too. Laughing Cole looked at Dawn. "You were so cute." Cole said in a mocking voice. Patting his hand beside him on the bed Cole motioned for Dawn to come over. "Look at this with me." he said smiling.

"Little house wife? You know me better... that is what house elves are for, I'm merely kind to you." she smiled as she begain to watch Cole pour himself some hot chocolate. Soon Dawn poured herself some tea. Tapping the top of the teapot she changed the flavor of the tea to peppermint. "I don't know why, but peppermint always relaxed me." she said to the side, as Cole stood up and walked across her room. Dawn picked up a spoon and slowly stired the dark maroon steaming liquid in the cup. The scent made Dawn more comfortable than she was she she sipped it lightly. Just warm liquid was just what she needed after such a harsh nice. Standing in the rain, getting soaked to the bone. She loved it, but being dry and warm is always wonderful. Looking up she saw Cole take something off her book shelf. Setting the cup down lightly on the sauser in front of her. She pushed herself up to her knees and tried to remember what book he picked out. As soon as he opened the bindings a certain glimmer mirrored on Cole's face. "Oh my word." she said softly as Cole started back to the bed, and sat down on the corner. Pushing the tray of refreshments to the foot of her bed- to the chest which sat at the bottom, she crawled over to Cole to look at the photo album. "Hey! Were cute?" Dawn exclaimed as she ticked Cole's side. "Want to rephrase that, buddy?!" She smiled as she turned the page. "Yea Cole, thats you alright. Dressed in the same to-to that I had on!" Dawn laughed for a moment. "Do you remember that day? I was dancing with Rachel on my pourch and you got jealous because you are still waiting for the potion to fix your wrist to kick in. And we were having fun, while you were sitting around doing nothing." Since Dawn was laying on her stomach beside Cole whom was sitting, she hugged his waist as she turned the page. On the next page, It was a picture of Dawn and Cole when they were around seven years old. Dawn paused for a moment as she watched the picture move like a movie. She it was adorable. Cole and her were in her living room sleeping on the couch, comfortable. Dawn's head was on Cole's shoulder. Where Cole's head rested on hers. You then saw Gregory, Dawn's father, lay a blanket over top of the two. Dawn was speachless. She didn't know if the sight of her and Cole together, like they were now made me sentimental, or if it was the sight of her father. Laying her head lightly on Cole's lap, she inhaled deeply as she smiled at the picture. "I like this." she said softly. (( it is short, but bare with me now, babe. ))

"As I remember you guys were mocking me for not being able to do anything." Cole said laughing at the picture of himself in a to-to. Looking at the pictures brought back so many memories for Cole. He felt Dawn hug his waist and he looked down at her. He liked having her there. He liked being with her. Even after the amount of time they had been a couple couldn't change the surprise that Cole felt when he thought about him and Dawn being together. Looking through the album made him think about there friendship before their relationship. They had been friends forever and Cole had never though that he would feel so strongly towards this girl he found himself with tonight. He looked into her eyes for a second and then back down at the page as she turned it.
The picture that was on the next page caught Cole by surprise. It was him and Dawn sleeping on a couch together. The irony struck him instantly as he realized he was looking at a picture of Dawn resting her head on him as they sat there with Dawn's head on him. Then Cole realized that Dawn's father was also in the picture. He wasn't sure how Dawn would feel about seeing him so he wasn't sure what to do. Then Dawn laid her head on his lap and said "I like this." Cole smiled down at her and said "So do I."
Cole closed the book and put it on the ground. He sat Dawn up for a minute as he lay down on the bed. Then he grabbed her and layed her down with her head on his chest. They layed there together in silence for a while. Cole stroked the small of her back as he lay in complete and udder content. He couldn't;t think of any other way he would have wanted to spend the night then with Dawn. Cole finally broke the silence. "I'm really glad I'm here tonight." he said in a shallow voice. Cole wasn't use to talking like that to a girl. He wasn't use to feeling the way he did about any girl. He leaned in and kissed her on the forehead. "I don't want to over use this word but I love you."
