Hester was glad that the Common Room was almost completely empty by the time she decided to come out of her quiet dorm room. She wasn't in the mood to be in the middle of all the hustle and bustle that surrounded the talk of mudbloods, and blood traitors and such. The topic it's self had become one of little interest, for it was so frequently used. It had become a topic others turned to when there was nothing left to speak of, instead of just ending their presence with the company that they were partaking in. Hester saw this as meaningless, and pointless. Surely with all the happenings, the Slytherin Common Room could be abuzz with something partaining more to what the Dark Lord had been up too, and how easy it seemed that he had gotten into the castle.
Walking into the Common Room, she delved into the silence. It was something she had come to enjoy lately, allowing her to gather her thoughts, so that if need be, she would be ready for a more interesting conversation than that of which younger student she had recently tortured. Hester wasn't one to just torture the other students on random. She had a deep grudge on her mind already, and was still trying to sort out if there was a chance that the girl that she loathed was at Hogwarts.
Settling down into her favorite chair, nearest to the fireplace, Hester opened the book she was carrying with her, and tried to locate her last place in the book. She glanced up from her book to see someone entering the room with her. She sighed hoping that it was not some younger student hoping to brag about their latest jinx, or any of her fellow years wanting to talk about who bothered them the most while they were out.
((Sorry it's a bit crappy. Train of thought keeps derailing. Must get new tracks))

Gaenor smiled calmly at the second year girl. He had had some run-ins with the girl before and the girl had always been on her best behavior. That had been mostly what sparked Gaenor to step closer and quietly correct the girl’s wand movement for the charm she was unsuccessfully trying to cast. The girl had been smart enough to accept the help and as the conversation quietly began Gaenor had ended up helping her prefect quite a number of spells. The smile had been prompted by a successful transfiguration of a mouse to a gentle china porcelain tea-cup. “Thank you. I never got the movement in class,” the girl said with a wide smile towards Gaenor, who nodded. A lot of students didn’t but at least Calliadora had managed to get the trick for the spell now. “Anything else you need help with right now?” Gaenor asked as he waved his won wand to the empty classroom to restore it’s previous order. “Only my Transfiguration essay with which I got stuck as I’m not sure at all whether I started doing it from the correct angle or not,” Calliadora replied with a charming smile and hopeful look making Gaenor chuckle lightly. “Show the essay then and I’ll see what you have,” Gaenor replied pulling the door open before shortening his regular pace to fit with Calliadora’s much shorter steps as they walked towards the common room side by side.
Chuckling quietly over Calliadora’s words Gaenor gave the password and pulled the door open to the common room open. Taking a step back Gaenor motioned for Calliadora to step inside first before he himself entered. Calliadora rushed towards the staircases to fetch her essay without a doubt as Gaenor glanced around the common room which was only occupied by one student surprisingly enough. “Burrell,” Gaenor greeted the sixth year with a nod as he walked over to a table and took a seat being joined again by Calliadora a few moments later. Taking the quill from the younger girl Gaenor unrolled the essay feeling pleased that the handwriting was clear enough to be read easily. Skimming the essay Gaenor made a few corrections here and there, but they were small ones. Finishing the essay Gaenor tapped the tip of the quill in the middle after finding the most suitable place: “Add here about the changes in different colours during transfiguration and you should be all right.” “Thank you,” Calliadora stated with a wide grin while Gaenor nodded. “You can look me up in the common room some time if you need any more help.” Calliadora nodded her consent before gathering her quill and essay and retreating to her dormitory to finish the essay. Now was as good time as ever to do it, as the dormitory should be quiet enough to concentrate there without too many problems. Making a circle with his head Gaenor raised his arms and stretched for a moment while pushing the chair he was sitting in a little bit backwards.

Hester wasn't one to speak much to others. She had mainly kept to herself the past few years at Hogwarts, mainly loathing in her own self awareness. That and wondering. Hester constantly thought of her grandmother, and the loss of her considering that she was in search of another child, another girl. Hester constantly pondered over the idea that the girl might just as well be at Hogwarts at the very same time that she was and it wasn't known to her. This had driven Hester to not making many friends. However she did know that it was safe to speak to any of the male students, for she did know that her grandmother had left in search of a girl. Smiling as the older Slytherin greeted her, Hester returned the greeting with just the small smile, and a slight nod of acknowledgement.
Hester tried not to listen to the comments being shared between the older and younger Slytherins, but she was unable to ignore them. Most of the older Slytherins were always willing to help the younger ones, Hester had never been an exception, but she had not seen anyone so always willing to help as the older Slytherin standing in the Common Room at the same time. "Helping the younger ones again, Gaenor?" Hester asked softly. She admired the way he was able to always handle helping.

The girl had left and Gaenor idly played with all the ideas he could do. Revising for NEWTs would surely not hurt either. But Gaenor could do that later, the day and evening up ahead were still young. He could always read something for his own pleasure, but Gaenor didn’t care about reading currently. Surely it was a n intelligent as well as pleasant way of passing time, yet sometimes you just didn’t feel like tracing the small letters lined up to form words, sentences and stories on the pages and parchment rolls. But Gaenor didn’t want to go out for a jog either so he would have some pondering to do as to what exactly he wanted to do. Being so immersed in his thoughts Gaenor didn’t even notice someone’s eyes on him as he stood so Hester’s voice talking to him came as a bit of a surprise. Turning around quickly Gaenor smield at Hester with a bit of surprise in his eyes for a amomnt before moving his head slightly in acknowledgement.
“Someone has to and Calliadora doesn’t appear to be overly popular,” Gaenor replied calmly politely walking towards the seats where Hester was taking note of her book. Should Hester show desire to start reading again Gaenor would leave her to her privacy, but she had turned to him so Gaenor figured he might as well approach politely. “This non-constant tutoring isn’t really hard either,” Gaenor said with a small shrug. This wasn’t the first time he tutored but he didn’t do it constantly. If someone turned to him for help then Gaenor helped unless he was busy. But usually he didn’t offer to help at first. Besides someone had to make sure the younger SLytehrins stayed up to par. “Enjoying the quiet of the common room?” Gaenor inquired politely.
