Kiani seized her book, Under Thy Skin of a Snake and scuttled down the stairs of the Slytherin Girls Dorms, her little kitten following obediently behind her. As she entered the Slythie Common Room, Kiani saw her reflection in a mirror and paused to flick her hair from her eyes. She was wearing a warm dark green jumper and white trousers, with a black belt around her slim waist. Her eyes were outlined in a light smudge of liner, and her hair was loose and rolling about her shoulders.
Continuing through the room, Kiani headed straight away for the corner of the room, sitting down in her usual place but one of the huge fires. The chair she sat in was cream coloured- but if you didn’t look hard then you could see a faint tinge of green. As she sat, Kiani curled her legs beneath her and patted the space beside her for Kia her kitten to cuddle up on. As the kitten pounced up, Kiani opened up her book and turned to the folded corner of a page. Once she had found the page, Kiani watched protectively as Kia snuggled into the arm of the chair, the golden flames of the fire reflecting a little on her sleek fur.
Kiani had got the kitten after her first cat, Kia’s mother, got killed by an owl. Kia looked like a miniature version of her mum and it always pained Kiani as she saw her, though also gave her joy than ever before. Although Kiani and her family were considerably wealthy, Kiani still loved her little kitten more than jewels or cars. As Kia shifted her little form into a more comfortable position, Kiani blew a little on the smooth form. She laughed as Kia immediately sprung up, looking both ways and hissing, in search for the blower. It was a little tease Kiani always used on her kitten, and cheered her up like anything could ever do. Soothingly, Kiani made Kia settle down again, calming her with a smile.
