It was a dreadful Saturday afternoon. The rain beat down on the window sills in the hallways of the schools. In the dungeons the Slytherin common room was deserted. It was cold so the fire was going and Cole sat in a corner on the other side of the room. His ears were covered with head fones that ran down into his pocket where he kept music crystal player. He was listening to a muggle band that he had come to like. He wasn't much for muggle culture but this band, Hawthorne Heights, was really good. Cole sat there looking at a quidditch magazine he had just bought moving his head to the music.
He was reading an article about the minor league game he had played in.
In a fascinating game, the Hawks won 180 to 20. The chasers for the Hawks played superbly as they kept formation against the other team. The Hawks Keeper was another story all together. Cole Waters, a 6th year at Hogwarts, filled in for the Hawks as their keeper was injured in practice. Cole played well for a boy of his age and showed that he was ready to step up for his team. Making some mistakes that many rookies do, Cole held the other team to only 20 points. That is a name to look for in the future.
Cole read this with a smile on his face. Looking at the picture to the left Cole saw himself floating in the air on his broom making a save.
Reading this article brought back memories that Cole would never forget. That was one of the greatest nights of his life. His dream had finally come true and he was so close to being pro. He also remembered hanging out with Dawn afterward. Cole had a huge smile on his face as he listened to the music in his ears.
And as days go buy, the memories remain I wait for you Cole sang along in his head to the song. Just then he hear a thump and he took off his head fones looking around to see what caused it.

Victoria strolled into the common room with her mind wholly on the book she was reading. Her shoes made a clapping sound which echoed loudly. She kept walking and suddenly, bump!
Victoria nearly fell over the sofa she had embarrassingly forgot to miss. On the sofa was a boy, obviously older but also he had a sad, mean look about him but Victoria tried her best to make sure that she didn't make bad first impressions.
She flicked her hair out of the way so she could have a better look at him. Knowing it was impolite to stare at someone, she made the excuse for staying with him by apologizing. "Terribly sorry about that, I'm Victoria," she said, waving slightly and hinting a settle smile.
She examined him closely and quickly and she first noticed that he was reading a Quidditch magazine. She gazed at the cover for a while and snapped her eyes back to the boy.
"Do you know anything about the Hawks, my friend just keeps going on about it and I really want to tell her so she can stop bugging me so...did they win?" she asked delicately, repeatedly pulling her hair behind her ears.

Cole looked at the girl that seemed to fall over the sofa. As she stood up quickly Cole notice her start to stare at him. As she introduced herself Cole raised one eyebrow and said "Cole Waters. Honored I'm sure." Cole set the magazine down and looked at the girl. She seemed a bit clumsy and very happy for some reason. Cole didn't know many Slytherin girls that were that peppy so he was intrigued to see what made her like that.
When Victoria asked about the Hawks, Cole laughed. "Yes we won." he said looking confused. Most people knew that he played keeper that game and he was surprised that his legend did not precede him. "Encase you didn't know I played keeper that game." Cole said looking at the girl. "Not very into quiddich?" Cole asked.
Grabbing his head phones, Cole put them in his pocket and sat up straight. "So what exactly has your friend been saying about the Hawks?" Cole asked looking at the girl.

She flicked her hair back and gazed back down at the boy. "Oh, you were the keeper? That's...good, I guess. I do like Quidditch just not as interested in it as some people. My friend, for instance, is one of those people. Quidditch this, Quidditch that! It's great but not all the time," she said, repeatedly sneering as huge Quidditch fans past her to go to the Dormitories.
She joined the boy on the sofa and threw her bag on a spare chair which was probably in use but Victoria didn't care. She smiled sarcastically and raised her eyebrow at him. He looked miserable and to her, that was boring. "Cheer up, you won didn't you and..." she said, trying to be nice but as she gazed down into his pockets her voice sank and she snapped her head back at him, disgusted. "What on God's earth is in your pockets?!" she questioned harshly, indicating his headphones.

Cole looked at Victoria as she sat down. He wasn't used to being around people that weren't huge quidditch fans like himself. Looking at her oddly Cole said "Quidditch is huge. How could you not like it all the time. I guess it's just my opinion." Cole looked down at the floor trying to divert his stare to something else. Looking back up he said "If you're not quidditch 24/7 then what are you? What do you like to do?"
Cole jumped a little when she asked him what was in his pocket. He was used to the quiet and she practically screamed it. "It's a music crystal player." Cole said taking it out of his pocket. "They sell them at Cat's cubby. You know they play music. Stuff with instruments." he said sarcastically. Cole pushed the play button and music started to come out of the head fones. "See?" he asked amusingly.

Victoria's breathing became more relaxed as he explained. She then settled herself and looked back at Cole. "Oh, sorry. I saw a bunch of muggles using something like a cyrstal player and it was the same colour. I saw them when I was in London... I didn't mean to worry you," she said, pulling her jumper over her chest so she could keep warmer.
She the remembered the question he had asked before. "And um...I don't really know what I like? I do a selection of things but I try not to be so focused on one thing for too long. Not that spending lots of time on a broom catching balls isn't fun but let's say, it's not me!" she said, not caring but still knowing that she phrased Cole's position badly.

Cole looked at Victoria in pure shame. "Look at me. Look at where we are. We are in the SLYTHERIN common room. I'm Cole waters, one of the most purebloods here. Do you honestly think I would be caught using a muggle music player let alone in the Slytherin common room." Cole said this as his anger started to rise. Standing up Cole looked down at Victoria. "And how can you not love quidditch. It's the most pure sport in the wizarding world and you don't like sitting on a broom and watching balls go by?" Cole said. "It's Slytherins like you that disgrace this house. You disrespect all pure bloods." Cole said this with pure hatred in his voice. "You need to know who your talking to when you talk like a mudblood around here."
((Sorry its short.))

Victoria knew she had got him angry but calling her a mudblood really got her going. She glared up at Cole, knowing that he was talking a load of rubbish. He looked ridiculous in her opinion, making huge mistakes in his words. He finished and Victoria started to giggle. Her giggle became a laugh and her laugh was pointed at Cole. She didn't stop and suddenly she began to point at him, making it if he had purposely made her laugh. She finished and stared up at Cole, grinning gently. She stood up and elegantly pushed him to the sofa. She looked and examined the decorations the Slytherin Common Room and suddenly turned on her heel and glared down at Cole. “Now listen,” she said in a calming voice but still took out her wand and began to fiddle with it with her fingers. “I don’t want to make you feel like I’m threatening you because I know very well that you are much stronger than I and probably know spells I could dream about,” she said, trying to imagine what he would threaten her with. “But I can lose my temper easily as well and I know that if someone gets on the wrong side of me they will be trying to get on the other side very quickly.” She said pointing her wand towards the lamp on the wall. She whispered quietly the incantation and the lamp was alight and blew lightly in the Common Room.
“Now as for your subject on being a Pureblood Slytherin and Quidditch, I think you got your head in a little bit of a muddle,” she whispered pacing in front of him. “I do not spend all my time on a broom, that is not a fault. It maybe the most wizardry sport around but that does not mean I have to spend my whole time worrying about it. People who do rarely have time to worry about important things! And, if you ever call me a Mudblood again, you will not be able to walk into a Quidditch Stadium again with the injuries I will give you!” she said quietly, making sure he heard the fury in her voice. “The only reason I mentioned it was because I thought you had picked up the wrong thing or got it mistaken with something else, unlike some stupid, ugly little students I do not watch your every move and I did not know what it was so shut your mouth. But I'm grown up enough to say I’m terribly sorry I mistaken it for something else. If you are so against muggles then I suggest you remove the song you had playing as I know that to be a muggle song. Yes Cole! I heard it when I came in and so did most of the Slytherin Common Room. Maybe when you are listening to such a disgusting band and in all places the SLTHERIN Common Room,” she said, mimicking him when he had said it before to her, “I suggest you keep to a minimum volume,” she said and stretched her back. She then looked down at Cole and giggled as she giggled before. “So next time you have a little tantrum like that, blame it on Fiona, Pyro or Kori!” she said, mentioning the people she had seen him spend time with. With one last grin she moved along at sat at the other end of the Common Room.
