The Tormenting Pygmy Puff ((Genevieve))

That silly little fluff ball. Where did she get off to this time? Meyghan pondered this thought as she wondered around her dorm searching for her purple pygmy puff. She had yet to figure out how the little puff managed to keep hiding from her, or even worse getting out of the dorm, and tormenting the others pets. MeyMey seemed to have an infatuation for tomenting the kittens in the dorm. She would never bother the older cats, but always the kittens. She had the occasional fun with a toad or even a rat, but it seemed that she loved the kittens the most. Meyghan had found her more than once in the Common Room after following some younger student's small kitten, just so she could tease it with her small pur and long tongue. Meyghan didn't have to wonder where MeyMey had learned such behavior, for she had a kitten at home whom for a while loved to tease MeyMey, until the day MeyMey decided to turn tail on the kitten, and started to tease it first. Meyghan had been able to laugh all day watching the two play like that. It was different when MeyMey was torturing Angel, for they lived together, and had to get along somewhat.

After looking the dorm over fully, and stopping by the other girls dorms with no luck as to locating the puff, Meyghan heard the distinct sound of a kitten mewing from the Common Room. She rushed down, almost being able to tell from the sound of the mew that the kitten was being bothered by something that it wished to leave it alone. Meyghan found the little kitten hiding under a chair next to the fireplace, and just as she had expected, there was a purple ball of fluff in front of the chair with a long tongue sticking out. Meyghan laughed as she picked up both the kitten and the puff. "MeyMey when will you quit teasing the kittens here? They aren't like Angel, most of them don't realize that you want to play with them." She said to the puff as she placed MeyMey on her shoulder. Then she turned her attention to the kitten,"Now, sweet, where do you belong, and whom too? I wouldn't want you getting lost." Meyghan didn't expect the kitten to answer, so she decided to sit in the chair, which as luck would have it, was her favorite in the whole Common Room, and wait hoping that the sweet little kitten's owner would soon come looking for it.

There was only three more days until summer. The children at Hogwarts were pacing back and forth either cramming last minute or just enjoying the rest of the days with their friends. Genevieve wasn't doing either of thoses though. The third year girl was up in her room in bed reading a book. The wasn't any potions book or herbology, instead it was "Rodeo Queens: An American Dream." Genevieve had been talking to her friend Stryder about summer and when he mentioned Rodeos the girl grew an interest for the muggle sport. Being a muggle born, Genevieve knew a bit about cowboys and stuff but she didn't think she would ever learn about rodeos from anyone, let alone a pureblood. Stryder had loaned her the book in hopes of he sparking an interest. So far Genevieve just couldn't grasp the idea of it. What was the point of staying on a bull for eight seconds anyway? She couldn't imagine Stryder on a huge animal like that for longer than two seconds without using magic. This proved to Genevieve that Stryder Stalk was insane.

Once she had enough of rodeo history she put the book under her bed and looked over at the end of the bed to see her cat Gypsy. Gypsy though wasn't there, only her hair was. That was odd because the cat was so devoted to Genevieve and would follow the girl around night and day. It was actually quite annoying because Gypsy would insist on following her to class, the professors weren't to thrilled about that. Genevieve looked around wondering where her cat could be. She grabbed a cat treat for persuasion and headed downstairs where most of the other cats would hang around.

She immediatly saw the calico cat walking on the top of a chair. Genevieve wouldn't have minded if the chair was empty but there was a girl sitting in the chair holding a pygmy puff and a kitten. Gypsy hated pygmy puffs, she thought they were big hair balls that needed to be destroyed immediatly. Genevieve ran down and grabbed her cat before she attacked the cute little purple thing.

"So sorry Gypsy doesn't like Pygmy's that much."

Genevieve said looking at the girl in the chair as she petted Gypsy who continued to stare the pygmy puff down.

Meyghan continued to sit with the kitten and the tormenting little puff known as MeyMey until the owner of the kitten arrived. Meyghan wasn’t worried about packing her stuff because she had already started doing that a few days before it was needed. The most she should have to do was pack up what was left of MeyMey’s toys, but that wouldn’t take but just a few moments. Meyghan laughed as she pictured exactly what had most likely happened to cause the two to come down into the common room. Knowing MeyMey the way she did it most likely started out as MeyMey just looking for one of the other fifth years kittens to torment. Some of them had gotten used to MeyMey through the year, and had even started to play with her, and tease her just as much. This was why Meyghan had become so accustomed to waking up every morning with at least one extra critter in her bed. There was usually a kitten or two in the bed with Meyghan and MeyMey by the time that Meyghan awakened. Usually the kittens were the ones waking Meyghan with the low mews they would use to try to get MeyMey awake. Meyghan would always laugh at this and put the little fluff ball and kittens in the floor with a few treats. Meyghan’s love for all animals gave her the senses to know that everyone needed a playmate and MeyMey was no different.

Meyghan had become lost in her thoughts when suddenly she felt someone quickly pick up the kitten that was sitting above her shoulders. She opened her eyes and looked up to see a younger girl picking up the kitten. Meyghan laughed as the girl apologized for her kitten not liking Pygmy Puffs much. “I do not believe it was your poor Gypsy who started the tormenting. I came down looking for this little troublesome ball of purple fluff, and found her teasing Gypsy. This is MeyMey by the way, and I’m Meyghan. MeyMey has a habit of teasing the younger kittens, I’m fairly sure that Gypsy did nothing to her to hurt her.” Meyghan couldn’t help but to laugh about the situation some more. She could only imagine that this poor girl thought her kitten had started the tormenting.
