Mikayla hopped out of her bed. She was excited because today was the day of the week in which she would go down to her common room and just relax, it was Sunday, and there weren't any classes. She would get up in the morning get dressed cute and walk down to her common room and would either study, or just relax, and some times if one of her friends in her house was in there she would talk with them. Mikayla made her bed back up, and skipped into the bathroom and closed the door.
When Mikayla got done taking a shower and drying off she went and picked out her clothes. "Hummm..." Mikayla thought to herself. She pulled out her top droor and got out two matching white socks, then she opened her last droor and got out her comfortable jeans. She walked over to her closet and grabbed her white long-sleeved shirt, gold belt, maroon sweater with gold detail, and last but not least her cutest pair of brown flats. She went skipping back to her bathroom to dry her hair. When her hair was dry, tamed and straight she put on her make-up which consisted of, gold and white mixed eye-shadow, brown eye-liner, and light pink lip-gloss.
She put on her clothes. For some reason it was freezing in her bedroom. Mikayla walked over to the window looked out and saw that it was snowing again. "Woah!" Mikayla said aloud. "By the end of the week we are going to be snowed in." Mikayla smiled thinking about getting to go out and pounce around in the snow. Mikayla got cold being so close to the window so she stepped away and went and put on her dainty white gloves and maroon sweater and got her white and gold scarf.
She grabbed her bag, with her parchment and quill inside, and started out the door. Mikayla would normally walk straight to her common room, but today she kind of lingered taking the time to eye some of the portraits hanging on the walls of her dorm. Mikayla took out her parchment and quill as she approached the common room. She didn't see many people in the common room as she headed in. She was still cold so she went to sit by the fire. "This feels good.." Mikayla said to herself smiling at the warmth generating from the fire.
Mikayla took off her scarf and gloves, she took them off since she was sitting by the fire. She turned to a blank piece of parchment and began writing. Mikayla didn't quite know what she was she was going to write about. She always wrote about her dreams, loss of sleep, or life in general. "Lets see what should I write today?" Mikayla said to herself pondering. Mikayla decided to write about life in general, about friends, and stuff along the lines of that. She looked around she saw a few people in there now. They were all older than her, and she hadn't met them before. Mikayla was kind of bad at meeting new people so she just looked back at her journal and began writing.
Mikayla wrote about her friend Danielle. Danielle was a Gryffindor, she was the first new friend she had made here at Hogwarts, and she was also the one she knew the most. Mikayla smiled. She was to spend Christmas with Danielle's family. Mikayla adored Christmas, she loved the smell of cinnamon in the air. That aroma seemed to be everywhere at Christmas time. All the good food didn't make Christmas harder to love either. She kept on writing and she had a good page written now.
