Riley walked down from her room hoping to fing some kind Ravenclaws to hang with. Nobody seemed to want to talk, so she got out her charms book and started reading thinking that someone might ask to join her. Riley opened her book ready to start studying but half watching for any new people coming into the room.

Emma pulled her long sleek black hair away from her face, and ran down the last few steps on the Ravenclaw girl's staircase. The Common room was fairly empty, and Emma looked around it for someone she knew. She had made many firends already, but most of them were in a different house and older than her. Carefully, so as not to smudge her carefully applied eyeliner, she rubbed her eyes. She was tired, but still felt like doing her Charms homework by the fire. Looking at the flames, Emma noticed a girl she recognised sitting near it. Walking slowly over, Emma set her books down on the table.
"Hey, Riley! I got the name right didn't i?" Emma smiled at the girl.

Riley saw Emma come into the common room. Riley stopped working and looked up. Emma was walking over. Great Riley thought. A break from studying or someone to study with. Riley knew that Emma was only a first year but she was friendly and kind. Emma was now at the fire where Riley was sitting. She said Hi. Riley lifted her head up from the books and replied "Yeah. And your Emma? What are you doing down here so late?"

Emma grinned at Riley. "Yeah, it's Emma. I just don't feel like sleeping right now-and i really have to practise Charms! What about you?"
Emma studied the girl. She was in year three, above Emma, but the age difference didn't seem to matter between the two. Riley seemed the same age as Emma as they hung out. With a smile, Emma took out a revision book, and turned to a random page. Then she waited for Riley's answer, watching the girl.

Great thought Riley. Emma's practicing charms as well. Riley was so glad she had someone to tlak to now and they'd be able to help each other with their charms work. Riley got out another book from her bag and replied to Emma "I'm practicing charms as well".

Alyson sat cross-legged on her bed. She was putting the finishing touches on her essay. She wanted a head start before she would be drug back to Taylorville. Learning about her sister some more had relaxed Alyson for a few days. BUt only for a few days.
Deciding she had written enough she put the papers and quills into her bag and decided to venture down to the Ravenclaw common room. There had to be some one down there. That or she would decide to go outside.
Making her way down to the half empty room she spotted two girls. Not seeing any friends she thought she would introduce her self. Maybe she would see them more often. " Good evening. I'm Alyson mind if I join in?" She asked them.

Riley was having fun studying and talking with Emma when another girl walked in. She was a third year. She cam over and introduced herself as Alyson. Riley had seen her a few times before but they had never met properly. This was a great chance to make another friend Riley thought, so she introduced herself. "Hi, Alyson. Sure you can join us. My name's Riley and this is Emma." Riley smiled at Alyson. "What brings you to the common room?" Wow that sounds cheesy, Riley then decided.

One fo the girls intruduced her self as Riley and said sure. " Actully I was bored. Being over oppessed and bored are my speicalties." She joked with a smile. Looked around the room than toke a seat.
" It was lonely upstairs so I decided to try down here." She told them. Here face shon with her wiining smile.

Alyson sat down next to Riley and started talking to her. Riley laughed as she made a sarcastic joke. She then looked at her charms homework. "I think this can wait" Riley said. "I've been studying for ages. Can you tell me a bit about yourself?"

Alyson watched as Riley put up her homework. She also asked Alyson about her self. Alyson wasn't going to tell a stranger about her life. So she stuck with the basics. " My parents are Greg and Lisa Wekki. My died just died and fixen to be fourteen." She began.
Then the amulent began to glow. Sunset. Of course. It was techenically a very important time of the day. She smiled misheviously at the newly formed thoughts in her mind. She snuggled up in her chair. Feet in the seat lady style.
It was one of the burdens of being a Wekki lady. As a child your thaught to keep up the family name with grace,pride and dignity. Standing up to the world was a hard thing to do with all the descions she now had to make. She was thankful she was thaught by her grandparents.

"Ok. Well I'll tell you a bit about me." said Riley. "I'm 13 years old. I have an older brother called David. He's in sixth form. My Mother is a witch but my Dad is a muggle. I originally lived in New Zealand but my family moved to England when I was 7 so that my brother could come to Hogwarts. I have a cat called Piopa and she's really cudly." Well thats enough about me. Are you going to tell me anything about you?" Riley said.
