April had come to Hogwarts. The Grounds were warm and inviting and couldn't resist but come out. Besides, she had just been through a full day of classes. She did love them, but they really tired her and she needed a bit of a break before attempting homework. She didn't have too much but enough to keep her silent for about a half an hour. Wendi was sitting at the lake with her flip flops at her side and her bare feet in the water. The little fish around her area hall all swum away at the first sight of her little feet. Wendi laughed as some of them felt it to safe to come back and began to nibble on her. She laughed moving her feet. They instantly swam away and Wendi felt a bit sad for a moment until she realized she was upset because fish swam away. Wendi immediately laughed realizing how silly that was and took her feet out of the water. Break Over. She thought. Time to get serious, for now. Wendi snatched up her flip flops and put them on her feet. She decided to run back to he dorm feeling the water make her feet cold.
Wendi was giggling by the time she reached the common room. Her feet were still a little bit wet and now parts of her orange flip flops were covered in dirt. She sighed making her way up the girls' dorms steps. The first thing Wendi did upon entering her room was fling onto her bed. She layed their for a second taking in the quiet. After a minute she decided to get serious. However, this was hard with her pink Pygmy Puff, Tootsie, making little noises at her feet. Wendi smiled at her pet and then went to work. After about half an hour, just as long as she predicted, Wendi finished. She glanced out the window. It was about five o'clock, dinner would start soon, but she still had an ample amount of time to occupy herself with something. Wendi decided to go to the common room. This would keep her busy for the time being.
She pulled her Hufflepuff robes over her clothes. Wendi was wearing white capris, a pink shirt with orange polka dots, and her flip flops. She had changed a bit after classes ready to put on some of her favorite clothes. Wendi put her hair into a low side pony tail, instead of a back bun. She reached over and put her wand in her pocket. With that, Wendi left her dorm. However, as soon as the door opened, she could feel it hit someone. Wendi immediately closed it and looked at the girl. Wendi hoped it didn't hit her all too hard, but she didn't know. "I'm so sorry!" She screeched with her normal high pitched voice. "I must be very clumsy. Are you okay?" Wendi looked at the girl waiting for a reply.

Flo tapped a pencil on her sketch pad. She kept the same beat with her toes, moving up and down so they would constantly hit the ground. Flo hadn't drawn in a long time. She had been to busy with classes and homework, that she just hadn't had time to draw random pictures. Flo looked around the Hufflepuff common room. It was almost empty, except for a couple of student that looked older than Flo, and looked like they were having a conversation, so Flo didn't want to bother them. She brought the pencil up to her face and started tapping it on her chin, her toes still keeping the same beat. Flo sighed. She had finished all her homework, and dinner wouldn't start in an hour or two.
She brought the pencil over to the paper and started to scribble little hearts and butterflies. Thats all Flo could think of. It was like she was loosing her drawing imagination, if that was possible. Flo curled her legs up onto the big arm chair. She started to draw nothing in particular, just lines and swirls. Maybe something would pop out of the picture like those Muggle painting that someone painted. Whats that mans name? Flo wondered as the lines and squibbles became nothing. Micheal Bangelo? Micheal Angelico? Flo heard someone walk pass, but ignored them as she tried to remember the painters name.
Another thirty minutes went by and Flo was staring at a sketch of line squibbles, dots and spirals. She coloured in around the white spaces. Finally, she gave up. Maybe she could bug Leon to help her. Flo agreed with her mind that she would do that, and stood up, gathering her things. She walked up the stairs and went to grab the door handle but it open. Flo thought that it was a bit strange, doors opening by themselves, until Flo saw there was a girl at the other side. But Flo didn't think the girl saw her. She bumped into Flo, and she stumbled a bit. The girl made a fuss. "No no!! I'm OK!" Flo laughed. "Don't worry, It's usually me who bumps into things or people." Flo smiled. "Your...." Flo thought. She had seen this girl at the sorting, she knew she had. Flo tried to memorize every little Huffie that had joined the house. "Umm...Wendi?" Flo hoped she was right. Her memory wasn't that good. For a start, Flo had heard the name of the famous muggle painter Micheal Angelo, a million times.

Wendi managed a brief smile still feeling a bit embarrassed but calming down a bit. She hated being in those types of situations but she tried to make the best of it. She laughed a little bit just to lighten the mood. "Really? I bump into anything and everything so this isn't new to me. Of course, I still feel silly no matter the situation. " She said nicely in her normal high pitched friendly tone. It was Wendi's signature voice, but that didn't meant that she liked it. It was a bit tiring at times for certain people, but she couldn't change it even if she tried. Wendi nodded. "Yea, thats right." She said when the girl thought her name was Wendi. "You're Flo, right?" She asked fiddling with her hands. Wendi was pretty sure that was her name, but wasn't positive. Wendi had made it her mission to know every Hufflepuff from first to seventh year. She of course knew all the first years, and had made it a major point to know the sixth and seventh years as they were the oldest. But, she didn't really know second and third years. And Wendi was guessing that Flo was one of them. She smiled her usual grin just trying to built her confidence.
"Well, I was just going to make myself less bored. Wanna come?" She asked nicely hoping Flo would agree. "I'm not that sure of where I'm going yet, but anything is better than lying in my dorm, staring at the wall." She chuckled a bit before looking back at Flo. It was then Wendi heard a low pitched whining sound that was like a needy puppy. She smiled knowing who it was coming from. Wendi reached behind her and opened the door. She picked up her lonely pink pygmy puff and held Tootsie in her arms. "This is Tootsie. She hates being alone." Wendi explained. "I guess I should take her wish me." Wendi sighed holding her pet a little bit tighter in her arms listening to her sound relaxed. Wendi then looked back at Flo waiting for a response.

Flo laughed as Wendi told Flo that she was usually the one that bumps into objects. She kind of reminded Flo of herself. Like a little Flo wondering the Hufflepuff common room. But Flo had only just met her, so she could be sure of that. "Yep yep! Thats me!" Flo replied, as Wendi asked that her name was Flo.
Wendi asked Flo if she wanted to go somewhere with her, to prevent themselves from being any more bored than they already were. Flo thought it was a good idea. They would get to know each other a bit more, and Flo would be lounging around, doing nothing, and being bored out of her mind! "Sure! Um, Just let me put my stuff away and I'll be back!" She smiled at Wendi and Bounced into the girls dormintory. She skipped her way to her bed and threw her bag onto her bed, befreo turning around and skipping back to Wendi. "Ok! Lets go!"

Wendi laughed as Flo assured Wendi that was her true name. "Yay, I got it right!" Wendi laughed a bit at her joke. Maybe they were too silly for some peoples taste, but since when did peoples opinions matter to Wendi? NEVER! Well, never if they were naturally mean people. If they were friends Wendi could take an opinion any time. Wendi held Tootise in her arms as she made her normal little low purring type sound. Wendi couldn't help but smile at her lovable pet. Wendi had received Tootsie years before and she was practically a member of the family just like Jamison's old cat Hamlet. Hamlet was rather old and fat but he was always around and Wendi adored him. Wendi leaned against the wall for a moment shifting Tootsie in a more comfortable position for the two of them. She then looked back at Flo. Wendi was glad Flo wasn't one of the shy quiet Huffles. There were a few including first years. Wendi couldn't be more of an opposite. She was always so happy and excited. But, of course, she liked the sky people no matter what. It was just harder for her to understand them.
Wendi giggled as Flo agreed to walk somewhere. She didn't know where they were going but anything seemed good for the moment. "Cool." Wendi said happily. Flo said something about putting her stuff up and Wendi waited for moment. Flo was back soon enough and Wendi turned to walk down the stairs and smiled as Flo said Lets go. Wendi smiled as the two walked through the common room and out of the entrance. As they excited Wendi turned to Flo. "So where should we go?" She asked nicely. "We could go to the kitchens and get food or to the owlery or just walk around aimlessly." She said with a big grin on her face. Wendi stuck her hand on her hip to keep her balance as she had already put Tootsie down to follow them. Tootsie was good at that. Wendi looked at Flo waiting for an answer.
