Flo rested her elbow on her knee as she bit her nails. She sighed and looked around the Hufflepuff common room. The room wasn't empty, there were a few people there, either studying or playing games. What was Flo thinking about? Butterflies. What else would she be thinking about other than her two obsessions, butterflies and drawing. Flo was thinking of something new to draw, including the butterflies. She had drawn countless butterfly pictures, but now she was getting bored with them. Flo had been doing less and less drawings, as she was getting more busy by the day. But Flo didn't mind. She knew she was never going to forget. It wasn't like Flo was going to start forgetting things.
Flo sighed and leaned back into the chair and stared at a spot on the floor. She stared and stared until she heard the soft thud of her cat Squibbles walking towards her. She heard a tiny meow, and Flo peered over the arm of the chair. "Hello. Looking for food?" She asked as she leant over and pulled Squibbles up onto her lap. "I thought you would have been out hunting sme mice or something." Squibbles blinked at her and his ear twitched. Flo gently pulled her cat's middle as his un-coordinated feet fell under him and he flopped down.
Flo looked around the room again. Most of the students had gone, but the ones playing chess had stayed. Flo stared up at the ceiling and then wandered around the room once more, until her eyes fell onto a deck of exploding snap. Flo had to admit, she did like the game. It was always un-expecting and fun. Flo was sure that she tried to get up to get the cards, Squibbles would certainly be grumpy, as he always was if you woke him up. Flo's father was the same. Flo held Squibbles middle and inched forward, before reaching out towards the cards. He fingers barely even reached it. Flo frowned and inched forward even more. She felt squibbles move and she knew that he was awake. But it didn't matter, she had reached the cards. Flo sat back with the cards in her hand and Squibbles jumped off, giving Flo a look before walking off. Flo shrugged and then started to shuffle the cards.
