She looked down at her feet for a moment, not really knowing that to say or how to start a new conversation with Sadie. She never was any good at making new friends. It wasn't until this year that she really made any friends, and that was mainly just because of quidditch.
"I'm always afraid I am talking too much too. Especially because when ever I don't have anything to say, I talk about Quidditch."
She stopped herself, knowing that if the topic was to change back to that she really would start talking too much. The same topic had to get a bit dull after a while though, or for other people at least. She never thought quidditch got boring.

Sadie sat there quietly, she didn't really have anything else that would start a new conversation. Then Nokomis had mentioned quidditch, and Sadie didn't know much about quidditch, so she didn't mind if Nokomis talked about it. Maybe she would learn a little about it.
" You can talk about quidditch if you want," she told Nokomis, " I don't know much about it, except that it is played on brooms."
Sadie hoped that would help them find something to talk about.

Sadie sat there quietly, wondering if Nokomis wanted to talk about quidditch. Nokomis didn't need to worry about talking too much, Sadie enjoyed having someone to talk too.
She reached for her book, she thought she might read a bit while she waited on Nokomis.

She smiled when Sadie said that she could talk about Quidditch. It was the one thing that she could talk about forever, and while she didn't like talking very much, silence when there should be talking was even worse.
"Its funny...I never even knew about quidditch until a year ago and now its all I think about." She smiled at Sadie, wondering if the first year would understand. She would have just learned what quidditch was too. "I made the team this yera...and things sort of grew from there. A lot of the team members couldn't play anymore partway through the year...the old captain asked me to replace her. Its so strange...I am captain of people older than me."

" I know what you mean as far as not knowing anything about it until you came here. I feel the same way." Sadie said. " And you must be really good to already be captain of the team." She continued. Sadie knew that quidditch was like a wizard's version of soccer or football, which ever the person talking about it wanted to call it, but she didn't know much more about it.
Sadie was really eager to learn about the sport though, she just didn't want to show it. Being too eager was one of the things that tended to make it hard for her to keep muggle friends when she was at home.

Color flooded to her cheeks at Sadie's complement, about how she must be good if she was captain already. Everyone told her she was a natural when it came to Quidditch, and for once in her life she left like she was good at something. She was always the one who struggled with everything, but not Quidditch.
"If you want...sometime...I could teach you. I know school is almost out, but maybe over the summer if you want. I'm going to need to practice over the summer anyway."
She bit her lip, looking over at Sadie. She didn't want to seem to hopeful, after all they really just met. Maybe it was a little early to start asking Sadie to come visit, but she seemed so nice, and she had such a hard time making friends, and besides, it involved quidditch.

" That would be great." Sadie replied, hoping she didn't sound too eager about it. " I haven't heard any more from my mum and dad, about their illnesses, but after I go home to check on them I would be happy to come to visit." She said sounding a little less eager that time. Sadie was glad that she was starting to make a friend, but she was so nervous that she would mess it up some way or another.

She smiled, happy that Sadie hadn't told her no, and that she seemed excited about it. She only had one broom, but they could share and when she taught Sadie the game. And for Christmas, her father had given her a new quaffle, and she was best with quaffles anyway.
"Well...you can send me an owl when you get home. Well, if you have an owl I guess. I don't have one and I have to use the school ones."
She paused a moment, then grinned, remembering something else. "Wait, but you said you were muggle! You can always ring me."

" Either one would work." Sadie said smiling. " And you could always use my owl, she won't mind at all. She's a snowy owl, with golden ring markings. Her name is Colena." Sadie was proud of Colena, she was a special present from her mom.
" I could ring you, too that would work." Sadie said as quickly as she had finished mentioning her owl. Sadie did enjoy using the telephone, just like any girl would. So, it was expected of her to be excited for someone to mention her being able to use the phone.
Sadie was excited that someone had invited her to stay part of the summer with them. She had never had a friend that wanted her to stay with them more than a few hours at a time, so she was very happy.

She grinned at the while idea. She didn't really have anyone to ring, or even send an owl too. Other than her mum and dad while she was at school, and now maybe Ivy. And now Sadie would come practice quidditch with her too. She couldn't imagine a better way to spend her summer.
"Have you ever ridden a horse?" After the words came out of her mouth color flushed to her cheeks. It seemed totally random, but really her brain had been off thinking about everything they could do when Sadie came over to visit. "Its just that there is a little barn just down the road form me, and I ride there a lot. So if you wanted to come and stay for a few days or something, maybe one day we could go for a ride."

Sadie was a little taken back, by the sudden change in topic, but it was okay with her. " Yeah, I used to ride. My granddad had horses, and I would go over there and ride with him sometimes. It's sounds like fun." Sadie said. She hadn't been riding in a while, but she knew that it was not something one forgot how to do.

She smiled at Sadie, happy that her sudden topic change didn't bother her too much. She had a habit of doing that, Thinking of something and then it just coming out before she was really aware of it. Her smile changed to a grin when Sadie said that she had ridden horses before. She didn't have many friends she could ride with, and now it was especially hard since she had to keep the fact that she was a witch a secret.
"So maybe when you come over we can practice quidditch and flying...and then go down to the barn and go for a ride." She started thinking after she spoke to Sadie. She wanted to have the quidditch team over at some point too, and maybe go to Diagon Alley with Ivy. Maybe when she and Sadie got to know each other better, she could come to some of their quidditch stuff too.

Sadie thought that Nokomis' idea was a great one. It had been so long since she had ridden last. " Sounds great. I would love to ride again." Sadie didn't know what else to say. She sat quietly, she would like to get to know Nokomis better, but she wasn't sure if Nokomis wanted the same things.

((I hope you don;'t mind if I finish this up, since we need to start closing out Hogwarts posts for summer ) She smiled happily at the comment, maybe how she would have a witch for a riding partner and she could hardly wait. It would be even better if Sadie started to get into Quidditch too. "Wonderful!" She fell silent again for a moment, not really sure what else to say. She looked back out around at the common room, realizing that the crowds were slowing fading away. "It must be getting late...but um....why don't you find me on the express....you can sit with Ivy and I."

((It's Okay, I understand.))
"I'll definately try to find you on the train." Sadie said. Smiling that she might actually have a friend by the beginning of next year.
" I'm going to go and pack some of the things that I won't need for the rest of the school year." Sadie said getting up and heading toward her dorm. " I'll see you on the train."
