Charlie wandered through his closet wondering what to wear to the big New Year's Bash that he was going to. He had not felt like dressing up now for a long time, and still wasn't sure if he would find just the right sweater for the night. A pair of jeans had already been picked out and put on, but now he wandered around his room, searching from closet to wardrobe trying to find just the right sweater. He usually didn't care for his apperance much, and tonight was no different, he was just having trouble finding the one he was looking for. Being home at the Burrow always threw Charlie out of place, because his stuff managed to get scattered into his brothers' rooms when his mom was putting it all away. Finally he got tired of searching and decided to ask his mother if she had seen it. Her reply was simple, the sweater that he was looking for was in Percy's old room. Great He thought to himself, now he had to go dig through that room as well. A quick search of Percy's old room, and Charlie came out wearing his cream colored sweater. He recalled the time he had bought the sweater and became a bit saddened. Shrugging off the feelings, he knew things had only turned out the way they were meant to be.
Telling his mother where he was going, just so she wouldn't be worried, Charlie headed out of the house and down the walk toward the outer limits of the security charms. He had to get outside of them so that he could use the port key that he had been given. Seeing the old shirt that he had been given from the Ministry, he rushed toward the end of the walk. He was somewhat excited to be going to attempt to have some fun, and knew that he was supposed to be meeting Tonks and Bill there and that would mean that he could perhaps have a decent time.
Arriving near the hall that the bash was supposed to be held at, Charlie reminded himself again why he hated having to use port keys, and that he could have just apperated to the empty field that he was standing in at the moment. Now where was it I was supposed to meet those two at again. Charlie thought to himself looking around the empty filled. Standing on a small hill, he spotted the entrance to the hall and remembered that he was supposed to meet them outside the entrance, so that someone could be there to watch the witches and wizards coming and going.
Making his way to the entrance, he noticed that others had already began to arrive as well. This was good, maybe there hadn't been any disturbances. Maybe they could make it through the night without any problems. Charlie came upon the entrance and picked a pillar to lean against while he waited on his brother and Tonks. Charlie stood there patiently hoping that his wait wouldn't be too long.
